Just found your selections for Monday. You posted them 21 Nov 20 21:30 and again 22 Nov 20 12:21, about the time you were practicing posting a spreadsheet. That would account for me missing them. “Did anybody see the winning distance of today's winner Mr Washington...nse ran on strongly and driven out to lead on the line.” I wondered why you posted that – which made me check back. If you open a new Excel workbook then copy & paste 22 Nov 20 18:51 (your Week 1) into it you only have to sort the column widths and Sum(00:00) Totals. At the bottom of the Excel click the plus sign to get sheet 2 and copy & paste your Week 2 into that. Rename sheets to Weeks. I have all my six weeks in one book makes it so simple. The new rule saved £30 yesterday – as I said it’s about not Losing.  BFSP 5.50 and above = No Bet

I haven’t bet on any of these selections because I’m watching the results of both systems and looking at the bigger picture. As you can see by reducing the BFSP to 5.50 on the-daks system and limiting mine to 6.00 has eliminated a lot of losing bets. When I do decide to bet on them, I will stake knowing I can withstand a worst-case scenario and still have enough in the pot to recover. It will probably be with Boris’s Winter Fuel Allowance, when his cheque clears, because I like to keep my betting fun. I’ll put the results of both systems up for this week even though there’s one to go on the-daks. Just so you can work out where you went wrong this week.

Hapsan, I don't think I went wrong exactly, I'm not losing money on it, not making very much either but, like you, I'm thinking about worst case scenarios and, apart from having to stay with something like this absolutely, I'm not sure I'd have the nerve to ride out bad runs, so I shall stick with trying the occasional good thing.

It's interesting that Espressino is up against Sehayli that won for this backing system last week Sehayli (One-time fair Flat performer who has improved to land handicaps at Hereford and Wincanton this month. Escapes a penalty for latter success and obvious chance of completing the hat-trick.)

hapsan, I've been following the results of novice races and became a bit disillusioned with it, it is a possibility I suppose but not straight forward imo. I was referring to that. You gave the impression, wrongly, that you cherry picked the wrong ones on the_dak’s list. On glancing back through a few juvenile races they seem far too iffy to be relied on and the word, you used, disillusioned fits their results. If you look back where I record the 6 weeks on HTS's so far of £138.52 (13.85 points) I think that is about average of what to expect. To be honest I think it will be less. The results on the_dak's sheet so far have been very impressive but we all know the long losing run is around the corner. The danger will always be starting on a losing run, but that’s sods law. I’m still only doing a watching brief today though. Sully D'Oc Aa was a very unlucky loser today for you Dac, leading at the last and made a terrible blunder but still managed to finish 2nd nearly 2 from 2. It was a winning day none the less. Hat Trick Seekers is down to £84.82 winnings so if it can’t recover from that I’ll give up on it and just concentrate on the Handicappers sheet.
