Good luck sageform if you take him on. I see TG did have a winner yesterday off a break with Black Op. He's got the 5lb pen to contend with, but they've paid 150,000 euros for him and his form apparently has worked out.

It looks quite open and a case can be made for most of them.

On my dodgy Flat notebook to 3YO hurdle system , I've got two qualifiers, and they both ran in a race at Market Rasen, the runner-up Zeb Spirit and the winner Half Bolly.

Zeb Spirit looks the more likely of the pair as he's 8lb better off, the shorter trip will suit and he's since  possibly been unlucky not to have won over today's C/D, having fallen three out when yet to be asked for an effort (race won by today's rival Lady Shanawell).

Half Bolly has a 3lb penalty to contend with, and given he needed all of the stretch-2m trip at MR to get on top, this sharper test isn't certain to suit, also connections see the need to reach for cheekpieces.
However, I'm going to make him the pick EW in the hope the soft conditions bring his stamina into play, and he did run well on soft ground on the Flat albeit at a lowly level, and after just 8 career starts, there's still time for improvement.

Half Bolly, 1pt EW @ 33-1

I wouldn't play it based on a stat ever mate but the stat certainly doesn't dissuade and with a lot of the sexy trainers not involved perhaps they are taking a bit of a chance with Marks at the prevailing odds with so little to go on under NH rules.

It seems odd being penalised in a Listed race for winning a class 2, what's that all that about?

There was huge priced winner of this race a few years back.

Maoi Chinn Tire (1000 on here?, 200/1 industry), thought it was about 4/5 years back but was actually 2010

I remember watching it and it pished up pretty snugly too.

Half Bolly wasn't disgraced under his pen in 5th, and did manage to beat again the easy to back Zeb Spirit on the 8lb worse terms, but that's probably not saying much, and up against his rivals he did look a little pony in comparison size wise.

There's a 3YO hurdle to open the card at Down Royal tomorrow.

Big fat zero with the trainers here George IMO, hard to get ahead from these sorts of profiles with prices.
