I quite often do a little £5 or £50 ew patent on 3 horses around the 3/1-4/1 mark and can often get 1 or 2 winners and a place, or all three placed, and it makes a profit, but on the exchange I just can't see to win, I try to protect stakes and I can keep breaking even and then I have a win, but then 2 losing bets and I lose a fair bit.Last week was the first time my account was back over 20K in 2 months from exchange betting and withdrew £1100, but since withdrawing that, I've lost £330 and now back to around 19,600 . I'm just trying to find a way that's not time consuming that I can win a steady amount. With 20K available, it shouldn't be too hard I would think.I mean I can win on sportsbook with little multiples and football bets, and can win on casino with small bets to qualify for promotions, but the exchange is just eating profits and I don't get why.

biggest mistake you are making is to relie on gallop reports to generate selections, and doing place bets on random
selections because you thought they would run well. if you havent got much time, concentrate your attention on
just a few races a day, then you will get a working knowledge of how the form worked out and how the selections
performed in the markets. then you will realize that what looks like the best form on offer more often then not
doesnt work out that way, due to the many variables that are to be found in horse races. as you have pointed out
yourself, your betting style has you going around in circles and getting knowhere. then you have the gamblers
who are doing what you are doing with a high turnover of bets and just making a 10% roi, on the surface seems
good, in reality just a waste of time and effort for a few grand a year. if you are more of a recreational punter
then you will be more suited to betting at the big meetings, where your knowledge of the better horses and form
reading and working knowledge of the formbook, can be used to devastating effect. its very easy to waste upto 1 hour a day just waiting for oddschecker to price up a race. goodluck
