@Roder2
Thanks for your advice, and others it's appreciated. However 3/4 days a week I am working, 2 of these are morning jobs so not too much of a hassle but I don't normally get home until racing has started and the other 2 days a week, I don't see any racing. Plus I like to have one family day a week, so I don't have the luxury of being able to watch all races every day and bet race to race. Most days I tend to put all my bets on mid to late morning and leave things at that. It gets more difficult later in the year, when racing starts earlier. I was winning some money betting in the evenings, but evening racing has stopped now and I just seem to be going round in circles, good day, bad day, break even day and whilst I have had good winning days, and even some winning runs, I've had some awful runs as well. I'm about £10000 down on the exchange in the last 6 months, I am up on Sportsbook, and way up on Casino from a jackpot win last year. But I seem to do better with cash in shops, but don't get why. I quite often do a little £5 or £50 ew patent on 3 horses around the 3/1-4/1 mark and can often get 1 or 2 winners and a place, or all three placed, and it makes a profit, but on the exchange I just can't see to win, I try to protect stakes and I can keep breaking even and then I have a win, but then 2 losing bets and I lose a fair bit. Last week was the first time my account was back over 20K in 2 months from exchange betting and withdrew £1100, but since withdrawing that, I've lost £330 and now back to around 19,600 . I'm just trying to find a way that's not time consuming that I can win a steady amount. With 20K available, it shouldn't be too hard I would think. I mean I can win on sportsbook with little multiples and football bets, and can win on casino with small bets to qualify for promotions, but the exchange is just eating profits and I don't get why. |

however it's the psychological boost you receive from getting your stake back from a losing bet that outweighs the slight loss of profit on a winning bet.
makes a huge difference to all but the most emotionless psychopath |

another bad day on the thread and a heavy loss on "Hula Girl". Dom knows a lot about horses but as with me fook all about horse racing. Obviously even less about money management and staking strategy. |

yes Facts, Charlton makes a lot of sense, but for someone who says he as 10k here, 20k there he should take sound advice.

Dom- I was getting the best info from the master in the 90s but still gave it away. Backing horses every day you can not win.

3.15 Epsom - Gabrial - £10 Win @ 4.7 / £40 3 Place @ 1.38
Ran 3rd to the great Frankel in a Group 1 off a mark of 108 once. Racing in a class 3 conditions stakes race today off 106 today, nust have been a certainty I would have been all in on the win and not bothered with the place. ![]() ![]() Domino, only kidding as you probably realised, WD with the bet. |

Can we please keep this to racing lads, I know a number of you think it's humourous and want want em to snap and so forth, but it's not worth it, so can we all be adults and keep it on thread. I'll always be happy to answer genuine racing related questions and so on, but can't be doing with mindless and wasted jibes, so please as much as I know a certain element rather threads go off sync, please can we not do that here. With Thanks.

£538.99 (£461.11 loss)
Tuesday 28th August From today I have decided to scrap Place bets unless the horse is 8/1 or bigger as I have that a few days now where had we gone win only we would have made a profit on the day, but instead have made a loss. It's a tough days racing but there are two bets that interest me. 4.05 Ripon - Mulligatawny - £15 Win @ 3.75 I had a few quid on this at Chester last time out and I don't think it got the best of luck in running and also lost any chance from a slow break and then getting carried back around horses before staying on very well in the closing stages. I'm sure the run will have been brought to the attention of many but whilst he is in a stronger race than I would have liked to have seen him in, he is a course and distance winner and the booking of Sylvestre De Sousa does catch the eye somewhat. He is normally a strong traveller and dropped from 79 last time to 77 today, I expect him to be ridden forwards. There is a chance he may be picked off by a classier type in this grade of race but I would expect De Sousa to commit early, so with that in mind I will also be putting up a £25 lay in place @ 1.40, which if he trades short and gets picked off late on, we will still make £10 on the bet. 2.45 Epsom - War Eagle - £30 Win @ 1.77 There is no point in having a trade out with this one but the fact Ryan Moore has come here to ride this today for his employed bosses says a lot to me. Weak in the betting and tenderly ridden on debut in what looked a strong novice, War Eagle shaped like a mile would be far more suitable for him than the 7f he was always outpaced over on debut and his work at home since has been pleasing. He has galloped with Too Darn Hot at home, although not in the same class, but on his debut run and natural progression there is every reason to believe he should run close to around 85 today. That would make him hard to beat and although he is odds on, I do feel he represents value in a weak race with his yard in good form. £45.00 Staked, plus £10 Liability in play lay. Good Luck |

I saw it Willie
I take it as a semi compliment, but didn't think it warranted a reply. I have decided to ignore digs and so on, and will remain civil with all who are civil to me. Can't be bothered to get dragged into needless discussions. |
|
By:
Domino, its not a needless discussion. Its a fair question.Why do you tell so many blatant lies?

As I said, please keep anything bar racing talk off this page. Thank You. |
