Well done with Sergi Andrew, not much sweat for you there !
Offline got my nice little 3 place bet up at evens, and was annoying he just lost 2nd, as had just under 3/1 on that, and it would have boosted things nicely, but had £200 3 place at 2.02 and £100 place @ 3.90 and £10 win @ 17.5, so still made around £85 on the race after commission so happy enough. Would have been happier if he held on for second though lol. |

Thanks for the comments guys.
Domino, Sergio did it easily enough in the end. I backed @1.39 and again @1.32 but i didn't go in too heavy, not all AOB shorties win. Well done on your selections, another good day by all accounts. WD to angeleyz and SL on your lays of The Wolf (unplaced). Hope you both won plenty. |

Thanks angeleyz and Ghost.
Ghost, it was a risky lay, he was 6/4 favourite when i made the original post, and i have to be honest, was hopeful more than confident. The one i thought bombproof was laying the unbeaten Izzer at Naas in the 2TP market (as stated in the post). It finished last of 5, but i wondered if some may have thought i was taking 'an easy way out' after 2 losses if i had posted that one, so i gave it a miss. If the lay had won yesterday, i would have seriously thought about stopping both threads. I know Lampus and a few others follow them. I was on a good run up to Friday, and occasional losses are inevitable, it's part and parcel of the game, but i wouldn't want to feel responsible for a financial loss, even though the threads overall have a good profit. Good luck back with the trowel today ![]() |

As for Mart and the Grundy/Bustino s/fc (he wouldn't have reversed it) PP are happy to pay him on the 'Dorothy Paget' rule

Andrew, does Betfair Live Video not work ?
Also as a piece of advice, Cricfree is a site littered with Viruses My advice is download VLC Media Player, and get an IPTV link which can upload a playlist and you watch it through VLC. It's not in real time, and about 10-15 seconds behind in most cases, but way more closer to real time than Cricfree, better pictures and without the Viruses. I often use it to watch movies, as you can get all the films that are out at the cinema in decent quality and you can watch them at home. The kids use it a lot when on the computer so they can watch what they want whilst me and my wife watch the Sky Box in the living room. |

Hi domino,
Yes, Betfair LV works with a minimum £5 matched bet as required, so at least i can see races i've played in. Sometimes if i'm interested in a race without a betting interest, i will lay an rank outsider just to watch it. So far, no big hit ![]() I watch ITV racing on a couple of sites (about 90 seconds behind), and as i rarely play IR, it's not an issue. Full screen pics and good quality, so it's OK. I haven't used the link Koi mentioned (cricfree) as it appeared i had to sign up for something (unless i was mistaken). Thanks for the VLC tips, i'll take a look later. |

the thing with laying is 2.0 successful lay, a lay above that figure you never make above 100%roi,laying below 2.00 its possible long term
![]() |

My laying today is quite a bit bigger that's fair, but I'm almost 100% in terms of confidence today.

By:
Lampus,
I love football, but don't bet on it regularly, when i do it's generally for fun, and would have to be confident for a decent bet. There's an old adage, don't bet on anything that involves a ball, although Harry Findlay obviously disagreed, and made a good living off Tiger Woods and Roger Federer bets back in time. If he hadn't turned to rugby union, he might have had less sleepness nights ![]() For tonights game, i slightly favour Real Madrid, even if my heart says Liverpool. They have the experience, that could be a big factor, and i sense a lot of the local support will be for RM as well. There should be goals, several maybe, but it could be tight in the first 30 minutes. Looking at the correct scores, i noticed that 0-0 was 24 on here, that is way OTT, even though it's unlikely, and could be worth a small fun trade in the first half. Mart, Mrs 'ABBA' is not Swedish, or English, but from a faraway land i used to work in back in the 80's. She is also a 'separated' Mrs these days. Trusty, Believe me it does rain here, but summers are generally wonderful. |
|
By:
Stu,
Sorry i didn't see your post earlier. I didn't review your lay in too much detail, but it's probably 'OK' (no more) as a 'one off', although not one i would be prepared to invest my hard earned in @ 8.8 on here. You need a very high success rate at those odds, although i have done the same on odd occasions. Andrew Balding is having a quiet period, but did have a winner a couple of days ago. She has listed form from last year, and forget her run LTO, the winner looks to have improved out of all recognition, but she still beat the rest easily enough. The 10 draw is definitely on your side, but look what Katchy did from stall 8 LTO. She generally races from off the pace, so you may be OK. Not for me, and a risk at the odds, but hope she runs down the field for you. Good luck ![]() |

Pour La Victoire - 4.55 Goodwood Cheers |

Cheers Andrew, take it onboard - think the tendency not to want to put it's head in front is the clincher for mine too.
