Clown market. My ratings had Lucha as the top form and top speed horse but clowns were laying him up to 6.0.

yeah Gaze and you knew nothing about the Fahey horse that chucked the race away showing more than enough speed, hanging cost it the win there.

As a rule of thumb laying the fav in maidens is not worth it, and Lucha drifted from 1st fav to 3rd fav because of clown market.

What is it about people with numbers after their chosen name, I am sure there are some decent ones, but those who immediately spring to mind all appear to have been at the back of the queue when they handed out intelligence...!

That is all very well gaze and yes there comes a point where you should become a backer

But ffs man to come on after the race is run  is just bolloxs

Its 1.0000000000001 you would not have posted if it had got beaten

Fook me even mart wins after the race is ran

The NR was the pace angle in stall 9 on the rail.

I accept that yesterday the 2 NR's may not have made any difference, but today was different. At least the first 3 finished in a heap, and greeness could have cost Fahey a winner.

Andrew my good man we dont need explinations blind pew in a blindfold can see you know the game

Longterm i would lay massive odds you would lose

As smirnoff said its a snickers innit.

Wipe up move on my manLove

Andrew you layed it at 2.57 and Dom was suggesting there was very little between the Haggas and Watson horse then we saw that the Fahey newcomer had plenty of speed in the race but wasn't furnished enough to run straight and see it out.

The beauty and frustration of this game is we never know what the right prices were though many on here see right and wrong as the individual event winning or losing and they will be the ones that lose the most in the long run.

Lesson learnt, never back for a win, early on here, invariably u will get a better price in the last fifteen minutes before off.

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated as always.

It's annoying going from 2/25 to 4/27 in 2 days (albeit overall £897.5 profit) but as Ghost said, wipe up and move on etc. Dare i say another lay tomorrow WinkLaugh

and what surprises me in following this thread,is how Andrew gets matched,so early,I thought there was no liquidity early doors

If this were true you have a cash cow trading.

Tangle,

I can categorically state that every single bet i post on here is matched, i wouldn't want to play by any other rules, nor would i try to put anyone away. Bear in mind the liability this morning was only £100 (later reduced by NR's). The horse was actually matched to more than that last night, below 3 in fact. Check my lay post tomorrow.

striding,I did not say u will always get a better price, but invariably,I must say every time I have backed early to my dismay the price is usually better later.

"It's annoying going from 2/25 to 4/27" annoying but realistic. Always good to get a reminder that the W-L sequence is out of our control. Unless you genuinely expected to only lose 75/1000 Shocked     Laugh

By:

When: 19 May 18 15:50
Or simply put...

If you back early often and don't beat the price invariably then...

you are backing them at the wrong prices

I'm not trying to be a smart ar$e but that would be 100% factually correct.

ProSniper,

I'm not sure i follow your point, but never mind. The W-L sequence is obviously in my control, and based on number of lays correct/incorrect to days, you only have to scroll back to check.

This thread is only for 16 days (8 weekends) as stated in the inital post.

The other thread will not even go to 100, or even 50, never mind a 1000, and i doubt it will even continue much into June, as i will either be back working 'in house' or on vacation then.

If i did lay 1000, i would expect to have more than 75 'losers' (winners so to speak).

firstly bad luck andrew. now i have been laying horses for quite a few years now. long term successfully. but it doesn't matter how much you "might be in the know" or how well you can read a formbook, you will always hit winners at some point.

Of course, this is 1.001 Wink

i've layed one this evening at doncaster 7.20. qaroun. quite a few reasons why i have gone against it but at odds of 3.0 won't be too much damage if i am wrong. and of course it may help if i don't have the number of withdrawn runners that you have had.

tbf mousey, ZODIE doesn't count. Only mortals are included in reality. ZODIE'S the worlds 2nd best poster - aussie Jim pipping him to 1st place with a s/r of 99.9%

Sweedy, the point is 4/27 is a rock solid s/r(given the odds being laid) I don't know where you'd expect it to level at ? (if playing on infinitely) I only knew it wouldn't be above 90%. I don't doubt you're in control enough to win enough % wise over the course, just not to dictate how that % is built; W-W-L-W-W-W . L-L-L-W-W-W

OK thanks Pro, i wasn't sure if what you implied initially was positive or negative Laugh

I guess i was miffed because i hit 2 losses in a row, instead of having the 2 spaced apart.
