This Mattie not so pretty good yesterday!
Thought it was given a bit of an odd ride switching to the inside. Doyle must know by now flashing down the outside is the things to do at Lingers. Anyway was not good enough anyway even with a better ride. The winner clearly likes it there. Big Country hit the frame well done Mr. P Was also on Rather Be in the big one yesterday and seemed to be tanking along till brought down, reminders of the perils of jump racing. 3.00 Verdana Blue Nap: fit as a fiddle and though up in the weights this nag has a very progressive sort look about it and has been impressive in his last two runs and will take some stopping. at around 5/1 E/W bet to nothing cant see this out of the frame if it runs its race. 2.25 Brain Power NB: The jolly will be tough to beat but on pure value if the pick got its act together and jumped well and put it all in he has clear claims. been a lot of hype about this horse and hopefully this season he will produce something. Mcfabulous in the last at Chelts is also worth a mention Paul has his team in a great order. Samcro or Faugheen? Hope Samcro does run cause i was not impressed with him at down royal and you would have to be examining your head to back him at odds on. Might well bolt up but at the odds give Me Faugheen first time up any day. Problem with him is i think 2m is a bit sharp these days for him and back up in trip is when he will be back to his best. |

Yesterday Nap got placed but was expecting a much stronger challenge then that.

As usual plenty of idiots carried away with Samcro and talking crap on here  Thanks for the decent price for a horse that should of been odds on Alarm set for the big fight, the life of a pro gambler not easy but the discipline is there and even with only a few hours sleep to go expect fury to get mullered, more of a 4/1 shot in my book at best, If TF does pull it off fair play to him after all he has gone through with depression and all but reality is think he will lose pure simple. few hours to go before its time to rumble! |

13.35 Le Richbourg: Stable in blistering form and has decent claims. 14.10 Fitzhanry: Should be there about and eye catching run last time. 14.40 Apples Jade: done me a good turn on its last start and again looks very hard to oppose. Fear Limini more then Supasundae. 15.10 Wonder Laish Nap: Bolted up last time n even with the big hike up in the weights still think this horse will take some stopping. 15.40 Envoi Allen Nb: Very well backed now and is odds on now. lucky managed to get some on during the big fight this morning. Horse has huge price tag be disappointing can not open account. |

Envoi Allen caps another sensational weekend for me with the only blip, getting up at 4.30 am to watch an over rated wilder fight Fury. Bring back the late 1980's and Iron Mike in his prime! Would of slaughtered them!
Back to Envoi allen looks a real big tough sort and is one to keep on side. Hammered in the market and bolted up! Good to see Codd not screw it up. Bevuer D'air also impressive on Saturday and watching the Nap today with Russel cruizzzing and slicing through the field like a hot knife through butter was a real joy! KerrrrrrChing!!!! My last Nap Apples Shakira was bloody woeful, at the back and Barry G never looked happy on it. Wont be backing it again , this horse will take you over a cliff. Must admit i backed Ruby v the mighty Altior. when i saw it was like a bog and the rain coming down, i thought this might be the time we finally see this machine being vulnerable .plus was going for value. but firmly put in my place, Altior is some horse and up there with the likes of Kauto Star. Sensational race and Ruby and Niko gave us a real treat. Nothing standing out today but do think Sun Blazer in 18.45 should go close and is my Nap today. |
