Yes Not easy yesterday. Another one of my naps that traded odds on and was beaten by a short margin.
Royal Ascot starts today and some exceptional racing to kick off a magnificent week ahead. Think Day 1 could be good for the market leaders as it gets harder during the week, My Pick's: 2.30 Rhododendron: Classy Filly and she should prove a hard nut to crack. 3.05 Sergei Prokofiev NAP: Looks out of the top draw and The Irish have a tremendous record in the Coventry. 3.40 Lady Aurelia NB: Sensational filly and unbeaten at this track and will not give up that record lightly. 4.20 Without Parole/Wooton Dutched: Without Parole, the word to be very smart today is D-day n Wooton is much better then it showed last time n worth a saver. 5.00 Couer De Lion E/W: Every chance to take this race, stable in great form and strong claims even with M.R. Mullins firing plenty of bullets. 5.35 Mirage Dancer: Looks a horse to keep on the right side. improving leaps an bounds should go close. |

A rough Day for me. Without Parole my only winner.
Nap bumped into a very good horse but don't think Ryan was seen to best effect imo. Lady A. fired a blank and was very disappointing. Cour De Lion was far to far back when they quickened it up. Try again Tomoz! |

I know what you mean.
I recovered a bit from yesterday. Wasn't sure whether the Specials would stand up to Royal Ascot. Not many good horses have a break prior to Ascot. They probably don't cover the better class racing, as only one of the three today was in the frame. I couldn't touch Lady A having gone through past data. I was sweet on Battaash beating it, and pretty certain it would place and bet a bit for me odds on. |

Getting the Specials over with and then can concentrate on Ascot.

Day Two Ascot:
2.30 Chelsea Cloisters NB: Wesley Ward has a fine record in this race and he sounds pretty boisterous he has another good one here. 3.05 Southern France: open field but do like the progression of this horse and the further the better i feel with this animal. 3.40 Hydrangea NAP: Worthy 2/1 Fav and this horse on Form should take all the beating if back to anywhere near its best. All Aboard! 4.20 Cracksman: impossible to oppose back on a track he likes should be a formality. will lump on it if i am having a good start today. 5.00 Raising Sand and Saltonstall: My two in this big field feel it might pay to be drawn low. Dutched. 5.35 Emaraaty And Headway: again will Dutched these two in a very competitive field. Good Luck Mr. P look fww to your selections at Ascot. |

Another Brutal day for me.
NB out slowly, unusual for wes ward american speedsters but they are not pinging the lids n running bad. Nap one of the first in trouble. Awful! Cracksman looks cracked never traveling n clearly not enjoying the racing. Off for a beer this Mattie not so good lately. Follow Kevin Blake top tipping on ITV he's the man to follow, lucky had a little on his settle for bay as a saver. But losing days last two days. |

Not surprised that Cracksman didn't win.

Day off today.
Too much going on at home. Getting ready for a party on Sat for grandaughter She is going to USA to work for a month. Missus had a long list for things to do. The racing was mainly 3yo's today anyway - not enough runs to get a decent pattern or difference from form. Won't be doing much tommorow on racing. I like Dash of Spice for 5.35. |

Dash of spice my Nap
Sioux Nation as my NB So hope not put the mockers on Dash of spice the way my Royal Ascot is going. Enjoy the Party |

Well Glad that meeting is over for another year.
Tough going with all kinds of madness going on. NB Harry Angel nonsense left a sour taste. The Nap and big gamble of the day chinned in the next by a Rag And ITV crew all loving it especially the commentator sums up the day. Mr.P taking the day off and going to the party the right move. |

7.45 Curragh Gustavus Vassa Nap: Every Chance off reversing on these terms with Sea the Lion, in fact the big danger might come form the same stable in Law Girl but do feel this jolly should be really tough to beat tonight. came there swinging after traveling 5 wide for most of the trip only to bump into one that just would not lie down. and lost it on a bob of the heads in a photo.
6.20 Newcastle Poppy in the wind E/W Nb: Taking a flier on a big priced horse with Poppy as this horse likes the track and could well bounce back and is worth poke at the huge prices on offer. Been struggling of late Mr.P will have a dabble on Even Keel and Mr. Reckless. Good luck Bud! |
|
By:
Nap Again undone by the Lion who just does not want Gustava to win and thats twice he's foiled him with a very willing attitude putting his head where it matters in another bob of the heads. Again the two pulled well clear of the rest....Very frustrating as he's beat me twice now and Vassa is starting to be an expensive horse to follow. Next time it runs if the Lion is in it will swerve it as he's like a turd that just doesn't want flush down. But if that runner is not in it do feel there is a win in the Gustava.
On the Razz tomoz but do think Ryan Moore Has a great book of rides and do think The Irish Derby will go to Mr. O'Brien as his record speaks for it self he's won it countless times. |
