Tax, camp, supporting his family. He is very well off but most of it is quite illiquid. He is doing this to pay a tax bill apparently. However it is such easy money, I'd say he'd have taken it anyway.

He may be functionally illiterate, but he isn't stupid.

I reckon McGregor can end the fight with a single punch - so can most boxers, but they have to connect first.....

I did also say "although it's not as if he is going to be a stationary target anyway" regarding Mayweather not standing still to be hit.

Leaving aside the domestic violence and the undefended cheap shots against Victor Ortiz (and even then it wasn't a single punch anyway) the last time Mayweather knocked someone out was Ricky Hatton a decade ago.

But Conor is not a boxer....looooool He is an amateur boxer at best....He wouldn't even be able to beat an amateur boxer that's ranked 100th in the world ffs LaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh

Because age catches up with every man and Connor is no mug.

You don't have to be a boxer to throw a decent punch and ignoring the fact McGregor has a boxing background anyway, it's not as if we are talking McGregor the bus driver with no fighting background or experience whatsoever taking this fight.

He's already a fighter anyway, whose main descriptive trait in MMA is as a striker.

I am going in at 1.3, win or lose I cannot ignore it any longer. Maybe age has caught up, maybe McGregor will catch him with a peach, but all things considered I just cannot see it being some sort of fix.

Because markets are determined by punters...Conor has a massive following....figure the rest out

ive been doing the boxing gigs for yrs..seen many a kid look the business till they upped in class and they then get exposed as very average.

You think Floyd doesn't have a massive following or that every Connor fan is betting on him on here?

The markets probably a bit more clever than that

Willie, with all due respect, for all they years you've been doing the boxing gigs you ain't half
put up some howlers. Haye at heavy odds on your latest

FM probably will win. Is he value though? Who knows. Would rather have a score at a price on Connor first 3 than
lump on short on a bit of an unkown here

No, why would I?

I'm just going by your opinions on previous boxing matches as you said you've been following it for years
Gl if you go in btw, just think there's enough unkowns at that price to pile in
By:
Willie Shafter.
When: 18 Aug 17 16:43
well by describing it as a howler it could be contrued you were insinuating he wasnt a cert.

He has a massive following yes...but nobody has made money backing Floyd Mayweather...He is always sub 1.1 to win! Therefore I would determine the market is heavily skewed by the all the UFC supporters having a 'punt' on Conor...no smart money punted imo

Aye, and by you describing how you've been following boxing for years it could be construed (that your word of the day? [)
that you were insinuating you knew what you were talking about

But I would say if Haye was 1.03 his opinion would have changed. It isn't about just finding the winner, get the right prices and the winners will look after themselves (longterm), isolating a few odds on losers mean nothing. If Haye would have been even money, he still would have lost but it would have been a very good bet even though it lost.

Will be having £20 on cm 1st 3 on the night willie as already said above.
Reason being price likely to drift on Connor on night when the late money comes for FM.

Nobody could foresee Haye snapping his Achilles though but a heavy favourite losing due an unforeseen event might be a warning for this fight too.

You actually do! Its completely different throwing a punch wearing 8ounce boxing gloves and that is the reason why the likes of McGregor and Rousey look so utterly shocking on the pads and while shadow boxing.

Also the distance is completely different in Boxing and MMA, MMA fighters stand much further apart. I'll be interested to see how McGregor judges distance here with a lot of people citing his awkwardness as one of his main advantages.
