Been out today and busy again tomorrow, can't say too surprised about the price of today's winner, did it very well looks like a fair recruit even more now!

Tomorrow at Beverley

2:10 Emilia jones, decent debut last week but market right on it and some strong yards in opposition, not the type for me over the season.

2:40 Aardwolf, had some experience of class, a cape cross sure to appreciate at least 10f as a 3yo imo and that would be my hunch where likely improvement may come.

2:40 Kodiac Khan, the more likely of the pair on my profiles coming up in grade after class 4 nursery success, should also have decent claims of a trip rise this season.

3:15 Geophony, lost the plot a bit last season when too headstrong after winning mdn well (race not worked out to any great degree), gelded and ok comeback run, another I have a feeling will be better going up in trip a bit if continues to settle this season.

3:50 Ravenhoe looks fairly handicapped again but not looking a progressive type, this will be the 3rd run back in quite a short space of time.Think 2 or 3 of these may see this distance out better round here despite the course obviously being to his liking.

Not around to see the action tomorrow and at the sorts of likely prices I'm going to stay out. Beverley obviously a very strong track so could be coming back to a barrage of abuse letting 2 or 3 through but I'll live with that at this stage of the season.

The 2:40 does appear to have been targeted with 2 wins in this guise and another 2 over identical conditions in my DB in last decade at this meet.

Fair to say PJ didn't give Aardwolf the best of rides, yet stayed on well for second. Given a more patient ride and no big rise he should win soon.

Think they'll be pleased with aardwolf today, a little fresh on return. The way it kept on when passed sure it will like more of a trip this term.

Been through tomorrow's another shut out for me, no selections.

I'm going to have another look at rich and famous in the morning, on profile it has some mixed signals but I actually quite like him and thought that was a very decent return run after the gelding.

On a day when I have found it hard to find a bet - which is unusual for me - I've taken a chance on Highly Sprung, @ 11-2, 2.20 Leicester and see if we can get the favourite beat. Conversely, I am with the current favourite Above Normal in the 3.30 and against Sofia's Rock, so I am hoping Moore has an off day. Haven't looked at the evening racing as I have to get ready & go to work Sad Good punting all Happy

Saturday's often pose a problem for me as a lot of the basic figs are terrible.

eg Highly Sprung

In this age/class of handicap on turf in the week we have 21-154-13.64%,  23.51 expected wins, actual wins 21, a/e 0.89

look at saturday in the same group we get...

2-66-3.03%,  expected wins 8.1, actual wins 2,  a/e 0.25

We know plenty about this horse, ideally 6f on rattling ground with wins coming in class 4 and 5 company. Having gone 10lb above the last win he is now back down to that mark and has had a run on the aw (yet to win that code) and a run back on turf in higher grade.

The 2 above him in the market today are obviously less exposed. He swept aside Tanasoq (who is 2lb better off today) at Yarmouth last term and the fav ridden by Ryan Moore today has some terrible stats for it's trainer (using similar processes as I would do for MJ).

Still after seeing that last run despite the drop in grade and within the context of the saturday stats for this type, I'd be thinking another run or 2 and then back on some real fast ground in this grade could be the plan.

Plenty of these uneasy watches to come over the next 6 months Grin
