Plantation Stud was bought from de Walden by Dermot O'Rourke where he stood Araafa. The whole thing turned out to be a disaster and after a few years it was bought by Michael O'Leary (Gigginstown). It's no longer a stallion farm and O'Leary uses it as a R&R for his National Hunt horses.

Horses with Hannon and Beckett. Good handicapper by Cape Cross won for Hannon at GLorious Goodwood in 2015... GIBEON? (I think!). A sister... Gemina was 2nd in Stonehenge last year. |

Jim Old did have a few virus ridden seasons but don't forget the good years. I had horses with him from 1980 until 1995 and had plenty of wins with Meister, James Hunt and Jefferies. Wally had some very good times as well with Cima, Pete The Parson, Mole Board, Sir Talbot and of course Collier Bay.

Isleham - Correct re the colours. As you say Lady Gillian owns and runs the All Apricot colours now. Plantation Stud did have their own quite different colours prior to Gigginstown buying the place.

sageform - mole board one of my favourite horses ever. was there reporting when he made such a quality debut, landing an Owen O'Neill punt of decent proportions on his debut in Warwick NH Flat race. had to follow him, such was the impression.
