Our funds are ring-fenced even if they go bankrupt.

It would have to be fraud not just poor management if our funds disappear as I understand it.
But their inability to offer any explanation is going to lend credibility to all sorts of rumours.

4 days of 'Pending Withdrawals' - what the hell is going on? I need this money.

It's all guesswork at the moment. I have my own theory from what has already been posted on here but I'm not guessing. I'd rather be just given some form of answer or at least assurance by Betfair. At the moment, we're not getting that.

Agreed Darlo and therein lies the worry.

I agree that they are just making things worse by giving no details. There is obviously a major problem and people are rightly worried. As money which appeared to have been successfully withdrawn has not found its way into people's bank accounts and there is no indication when it will I imagine some people will inadvertently go overdrawn and not be able to pay direct debits etc. Bf could have some problems if they don't rectify this soon.

In my opinion, the time to get really worried is when BF say that there's a problem and the IT people are working on it.
Then it's BIG.  Until then, no news is, well, no news.
By:

They are saying that to all e-mailers mememe at present.  The time to worry is when they hide away from telling us anything publicly, and that is the present scenario.

I LEFT HALF MY WINNINGS IN MY BETFAIR ACCOUNT AND WITHDREW THE OTHER HALF ,IM GLAD I LOST THE HALF IN MY BETFAIR ACCOUNT OR OTHERWISE I WOULD STILL BE WAITING FOR THAT AS WELL

Thanks LoyalH.
If BF say that they've got IT issues then I would readily, easily and incontrovertibly believe them.
They have a long and very undistinguished track record re IT.
Their IT capability has to be amongst the worst for any public company.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about Betfair's underlying position. The share price is down 12p today (1%) on a weak day for the markets generally. If there was even a rumour of a serious problem then I would expect the price to of dropped considerably more.
