Fair result with a few decent vintages to be purchased but no Christmas case of bubbles. As I thought this horse is soft and does not move too well, it seemed that way at Haydock and I would be amazed if he has not had a few problems.

Pre race drift mainly failed to happen so with the horse not starting to look unhappy till after halfway a few under priced bailout trades placed but still another decent race.

Layed Fine Parchment 2.55 Sandown @ average 7.8

This looks tough off a revised mark after being flat out to score here last time. The mark historically is acceptable but this is a decent race with proven form and for me the favourite looks like a very decent horse with huge potential.

The selection is price orientated and hoping for a pre race drift as IR may not be easy as he is likely to be prominent but simply don't see this as the winner.GL all

Very helpful drift and makes a change to get some dosh in the bag pre race as he may go from the front.

Mild profit but 4 cans of Stella and no Grand Cru. Credit to the ride and the horse and grateful for the massive pre race drift.
Might have to think again after including a selection on a form basis as the idea was always to find a substantive reason to oppose rather then simply not being good enough.

Good that you traded out.

Best of luck.
By:

The realty is that almost any horse can win a given race and with a front runner if you have the chance to trade some out pre race it makes sense if the price gives you the chance.

I struggle to trade out and then i am gutted when lose and could of limited damage.
By:
NOW WE KNOW
When: 06 Dec 13 15:43
Yep, trading out is not easy to live with all the time. When I have a modest green pre race because I doubt the horse will jump and it falls early or makes mistakes that ruin its chance you wonder why you bothered.

Fine Parchment doubled pre race so for me it had to be taken as if he front runs he contracts until showing signs of going backwards.

Proper use of keep bets has been good for me and any win bets always have cover lays in place but that's how I like to play it, cautious gambling.

Well the resident rogue appears again and as ever he looks tradable. When he won at Warwick he traded very high and the same should happen again and money should be in the satchel by halfway.

The drop back in trip should have plenty of animation from the saddle and although he may go on to win this looks an easy, uncomplicated trade. GL all.

Well that was easy and just about ran to script. I guess they just had to run there over the wrong trip, never easy finding the right races with nice gaps in between.

Patches, thanks for the comments. Sadly I blocked Roida which is against my principles of always talking to my enemies as my friends already agree with me!

The margins on these trades are slim but I do several each day if they fit the criteria of being tradable so I continue to make steady money without too much risk. Not sure what Roida said but I have a target liability of 500 but also a price limit which can mean that nothing like that is matched. If this makes things a waste of time in his opinion so be it.

When we had horses in training there were plenty of times I placed 4 figure bets including 5k win @ 16s when Now We Know won at Bangor, he was also doubled with Seek The Faith who won at Newbury that afternoon and it gave me some financial security.

I am now doing just making bits and pieces enjoying an early retirement with nothing to prove and happy to share thoughts and ideas on what is still my great passion along with Burnley Fc!

Layed A Little Bit Dusty @4.7 1.20 Newcastle

Probably not quite as tradable as he used to be but should be profitable from this starting point. He has traded shorter so hopefully some pre race drift.
There was a time when he would tail himself off and then run on and still win but in fairness he has travelled quite well for new connections but for me there is no guarantee he will continue like this so there should be something IR
The mark looks fine but not sure that is too important, more about mood for me. The race has the look of a what can win this so probably competitive by default. GL all.

Good result with a bit pre race, some early in the bag and green by just after halfway. Interesting in that he seems more likely to win when he IS SOUR and gets behind. For CD the fellow looks to happy travelling on the bridle and cooperating before having a midrace snooze followed by a half hearted finish.

Imo he needs a sharp course like Ludlow, dropped back to claimers off 4k and hopefully he will be in a bad mood!

Really cant see this free running sort ever getting the trip over hurdles and in a race that might have more depth than first impressions this looks a huge place lay at 3ish.

Can you recall the opening status logistics?
Now when it won it turned into a trade?
Since when does a ' huge ' place lay turn into a small trade?

The blokes a fantasist.

Perhaps he is saying only those who nail their lower region genitalia to the floor when they place a trade are allowed to post here.

Personally, I will wait for Betfair to confirm this to me in writing, letter or email, that would be fine.

I cant see your thread Roida, perhaps you could help me out with sign language like the guy at the Mandela gig, although they would need to do better than that.

Funny to have someone so spiteful on here, there were 3 war criminals sat together in Blair, Bush and Mugabe and they all seemed to be having a nice day in South Africa.

Life is fun if you allow it to be imvho.

Seasons Greetings to you also Virgin. The fountain of AW knowledge promoting a book about the famous Clarets, must have missed that!

Cashed in some tasty bets on Burnley and cant wait to see them at Yeovil in January on a rare trip over to Blighty. Would love to see them win it but the squad is so thin I guess top 6 is probably as good as it will be. The trading out will feel painful if they win at Leicester  on Saturday!

Layed Tresor De Lisle @4.7 12.45 Carlisle

This has drifted and not totally surprised. He is only 6 so has the potential to improve off this mark but his fall last time came when beaten. That in itself would worry me as this course takes no prisoners and you don't know what effect this could have on his confidence.

I would think he will probably be given time to warm up in the race so there could be some scope IR if he gets a bit behind or makes some early errors.

The race is competitive and contains some hardened handicappers and looks competitive so He cant be ruled out he does look tradable from here. GL all.

Thanks The Chubster. As a 6yo this would always be difficult. In fairness he did ok early in the race but there was plenty of money to take out, we were not alone!

Not keen to be too hard on trainers but this stable tend to have plenty of in and out horses, might just be in my mind and could be the French connection of climatisation. This fellow probably needs a rest but he may do a lot better.

Layed Zarzal @5.8 15.15 Ffos Las

Not badly treated on a return to hurdles but not sure this will be the right race for him in this deep ground. He only just lasted home on better ground at Ludlow albeit over fences and this has the look of a slog even if it is the minimum distance.

Not one to rule out but just see no value and although he may not drift too much from here should be tradable. GL all.
By:
NOW WE KNOW
When: 16 Dec 13 15:28
Nice result with some pre race and early signs that he would hate the ground met with a big price shift. Will keep an eye on him as he is probably in decent nick at the moment and if he drops a couple for this may be up to winning.

Layed Persian Herald 1.20 Fakenham at average 7.8

This fella looks very tradable after his moody display last time. He does have valuable course form but he is looking at the wrong end of the handicap for me in what is a competitive race.

Feel sure he will drift pre race and cant believe he wont hit big prices IR, he did when he won here.  Does have a small chance but looks a big chance of a winning trade. GL all.
By:
NOW WE KNOW
When: 17 Dec 13 13:36
Very predictable and he retains pride of place in the P section of rogues. Back in a seller over further should give another profitable chance for the horse and a winning trade.

Layed Chestnut Ben @ average 5.7 1.40 Newbury

Steady performer but not a regular winner. Initially I thought summer horse in a winter handicap at Newbury but this is not a great race but the thought remains that there are 2 relatively unexposed horses yet he races off close to his highest mark.

He can pull which is not helpful in a small field but for me he generally has a pretty tame finish and see him as tradable with a pre race drift but maybe a bit of patience IR. GL all.
By:
NOW WE KNOW
When: 18 Dec 13 13:55
Good result with green pre race but still like em to lose!

Strange race with AP being allowed a lead which would not be a good idea and the deciding factor being the lack of experience of the 2 challengers.

Would be happy to oppose again even off the same mark.
