Fruity O’Rooney 13.15 Ch 12-1 Sulis Minerva 14.15 Wol 5-1 Crimson Monarch 14.50 Wol 7-1 Miami Gator 17.00 Wol 8-1 All B365 BOG….. Fruity O’Rooney :- I liked him Lto at Sandown, and do seem to run well this time if the year, with January to date producing form figures of 1-2-2-3-3. He also seems to be a horse that once he gets in the groove form wise can stay in it, and does appear to be finding that groove, despite the assessor relieving him of a further 3lbs form his mark. The likely favourite Katenko won with plenty in hand Lto in that Sandown contest, with Fruity O’Rooney now meeting him on a whopping 14lb better terms. Connections have now brought him back considerably in trip, but I’m sure he will make it a sufficient enough test to at least have ran the finish out of plenty of his rivals, which should at least allow him a podium position of sorts. Sulis Minerva :- Seemed to take her form to another level this time last year, and has shown some positive signs of late that suggest she maybe ready to hit her run of form. The yard are in reasonable heart, and the race could well be set up for her usually strong traveling style. Another factor major factor why I’ve made her my selection is the jockey, who I think could make up into a decent professional in the fullness of time. Crimson Monarch:- Lto looked to be on the wrong end of some scrimmaging on the bend before turning in over 12F at Wolverhampton, and caught my eye when staying on very nicely to be a never nearer 5th . Stepping up in trip looks sure to suit, and the yard at least have some winning form of note thus far in January, and Peter Hiatt’s charge has Imo a decent place prospect at least. Miami Gator :- the handicapper appears to have gone out on a limb with this horse Imo, tomorrow he contests a handicap a full 15lbs lower than his last winning handicap mark. Has a very good record on the A.W. , and connections have booked the in demand Ryan Tate to relieve him of a further 7lb’s to his already vastly diminished mark, and looks a solid enough frame contender to me. |

was sure you would put a fishers cross up rob, after selecting it last time.
you obviously can do you own thing, but im not a big fan of multiple bets. much prefer a win/win double or a ew/ew ew double. you probably throw in a 4 timer in the next few weeks to shut me up. |

Result(s) day 21 & 26.
1 E.W. L15. 0 placed -30.00p (sp’s of 15-8, 13-8, 5-4 and 2-1 quite unbelievable) 50p E.W. L15 2pl 1 N/R +6.00p Profit / Loss -24.00p Total 464.25p If that race had of had a few more runners in KIW I'd have probably put him in, think he is going to be a star stayer in the future over fences. It would also be nice to have a 4 timer up this year, but it’s not necessarily about getting all 4 to win with this type of bet. For example, if I get 4 in the frame in the bigger field handicaps (1/4 odds) at average odds of 10-1, I’d have a return of 409.00p for a 1E.W. L15. , and the times I’ve had some nice placed doubles over the last couple of years I have on many occasions had another decent couple placed I also considered but did not back. Only time will tell if I can finish off with this venture in profit, but it won’t be from the lack of trying. |

Miss Milborne 14.05 Ffos Las 33-1 Haadeeth 14.20 Lingfield 13-2 Carruthers 14.40 Ffos Las 9-1 Siberian Tiger 15.45 Ffos Las 14-1 All with Stan Jmaes, all BOG 2 x odds 1winner…… |

The Welsh Champion hurdle handicap at14.05 on the Ffos Las card looks as you would expect an ultra competitive affair, but I do not have Miss Milborne a 33-1 shot on my tissue prices, in fact mine is half that price, and looks very much to have been priced up on her latest start. There seems to be plethora of horses that look to have plenty of improvement to come, but considering she is only a 7yrold herself, and has a steadily improving profile over her last couple of seasons giving lumps of weight about in some half decent contests, she should still have plenty of improvement to make herself. Connections now bring her back in distance, and does look suited to the more galloping/stiff tracks, with distance races at Foss Las Imo taking plenty of getting and falls into that category. If there is a decent pace in today’s testing conditions, having the proven ability to stay further can only be positive, and she most definitely has. Throughout her career to date been a model of consistency, and the riders 5lb claim is sure to plat its part in what could turn out to be the survival of the fittest type of race.
Now onto the 14.05 at Lingfield, and the sprint series race, where Haadeeth looks primed to go well. He did win such a contest this time last year off 73, and now finds himself contesting today’s race off 60. His last couple of runs in this series have been better than the bare result would imply, having been given very similar rides from stall 1 in both of those contests. In both races there jockeys both chose to throw him up the far rail and on both occasions encountered a troubled passage, why jockeys even consider putting their particular mount hard up against that rail on a slowest part of the track is beyond belief. He’s sure to get a decent pace, with Violet Jordan again putting in Amenable and Fairy King (interesting when he steps up to 7/8F) to try and set it up for Frognal. The money looks down, and should his jockey get him onto the clear on the run for home he could well be up to taking this. Now onto Carruthers, who I admit is one of my favourite horses in training, but my head on this occasion is most definitely ruling my heart when it came to selecting him. He has some very good form in the book at this time of the year, loves a heavy surface and stays very well. He is only 1lb higher than when winning a Hennessy, and with the very able Mr Boinville’s claim can theoretically run off 140 today. Seemed to relish Ffos Las in the mud on his last chasing contest, and with the 2 non runners out, and plenty wrong at the weights he still makes plenty of appeal at 9-1. Should run his usual honest race. Now on to the last leg of my bet, where I’m relying on the Evan Williams trained Siberian Tiger to upset the very well handicapped (it appears) The Bear Trap. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see that The Bear Trap would have won with a stone more on his back Lto, and it’s doubtful whether his 11lb rise will be enough to halt his progress today, however Siberian Tiger is on a very handy mark, and Conor Ring’s 10lb allowance is going to give him plenty of assistance in today’s ground which he does look suited to. Connections have brought him back over timber, and have also brought him back considerably in trip, which looking at his race record should also suit, with the yard being major players at this venue. Decent E.W. chance. |

Bet day 34. 1.00 E.W. Lucky 15
Barachiel 14.40 14-1 Teth 15.40 12-1 Mister Musicmaker 16.10 5-1 Crimson Monarch 16.40 100-30 Paddy Power BOG 2 x odds 1 winner Today’s card at Lingfield lacks any strength in depth, and in truth is no better than the usual betting shop fodder we’re used to seeing through the week. I myself have had a small e.w. bet on Constant Contact in the Scottish County hurdle, but that said I have a couple of note book horses that are out at Lingfield today, and do like the half chances of a couple of others, so will have a little bet just in case they were to oblige. The first of my note book horses runs in the 14.40, and Barachiel now makes plenty of appeal at his double figured price stepping up in trip. He ran in a seller a few weeks ago over 8F on course, and although that run was no great shakes, he was staying on with running left in him, with that little race producing some worth while form in the context of this contest. Connections have booked Luke Morris today, and if he can get a prominent sit from his wide draw should be in the mix given the run of the race. An hour later in the 15.40 runs the second of my note book horses, and was due to run a fortnight ago in the race Athletic ran in. Having also had the bitterly disappointing(that day) Athletic on my radar I let Teth go, fortunately for me she was a non-runner, perish the thought she was drawn 11 of 12 that day…. And now has the box draw in 1. Lto on New Years day was held up just off the pace setters, and seemed to run on at the one pace from the 2pole, and not really given a totally hard time by her inexperienced apprentice, finishing with running left in her Imo. I’m certain William Carson will want to jump her out and make the use of her stamina and good draw, and maybe we will see this lightly raced daughter of Dansili in a much better light this afternoon. In the next at 16.10 Mister Musicmaster makes plenty of appeal, and won a much better contest than this one Lto. Running over a mile looks to have opened up a new dimension for Ron Hodges inmate, and his last couple of runs over this trip he has ran right to the line after being prominent, and is another that appears to have bagged a decent stall for a prominent roll. Looks up to giving the weight Imo. Now onto the lucky last at 16.40, where I’m prepared to give Crimson Monarch another go. He is becoming a bit off a cliff horse for me, but do think he is up to winning a low level affair such as this, with Chris Catlin likely to know his quirks better than most he is capable of being in the mix come the business end. |

ok - my mistake thought it was 1 ew single and a place double.
fife - not having a go at all. Just think 'bingo bets 'are a waste of money - and effort. Rob has a talent for finding good priced winners. Single only bets are the only way to make a long term profit. It worked for him for 2 years. Why now revert to 'mickey mouse' bets ? |

Point taken regarding the type of bet facts, not everyone's cup of tea. Just giving it ago, only small stakes in the grand scheme of things, and as already stated in my opening to the thread my analysis is there for folk to pick out what they think will help... I hope your right fife, just need to get a few in the frame on the same bet now and again, in theory it seems easy enough... the practicality not so
