12/1 at 1/6th or 10/1 at 1/5th .... let me think ..
By:
This is York IanP. Choice will be 12/1 @ 1/6th, 12/1 @ 1/5th or 11/1 @ 1/4.
By:
If it was 13.5 on the machine then you could probably get 14/1 on the second line of tatts. Nutters.

By:
ssssshhhhhhhhhhhh
By:
Wish I'd gone dogging today instead of having my worst day for years
7-0 to the punters - grim stuff |
By:
Been going to this meeting for last 5 years and entry gone up as they have tried to frame cards that are 'punter friendly' at the behest of big bookmakers for the levy i.e 20 horse cavalry charge handicaps. Gave up this year and stayed at home after spending £100 a day on drinks, admission and bets for an enjoyable day but ultimately too expensive. Squeeze the punters too hard and the ring as well as the track suffers.

By:
Just noticed that Jack Bevan has registered an alternate trading name of IVOR BIGGUN. Really, Gambling Commission, could you not have stopped that one. Makes us look like idiots.
By:
Yes I saw that too. An absolute disgrace to bookmaking and I would be pretty sure that he will politely be asked to withdraw the name.
A example of bringing bookmaking into disrepute |

By:
HMMM,PEOPLE IN GLASS HOUSES AGAIN,ID RATHER SOMEONE I KNOW SHOUT OUT IVOR BIGUN,THAN IVE BEEN ON THE CHARLIE CHASE

can anybody tell me if this jockey wilson chap
uses multiple pitches in betting rings rents his pitches out has created stupid names like many other bookmakers have |
By:
IM a right mug .backed the winner and racy ew 1/4 in the first both at 9/1.(wish i could have got 12/1- 1/6)backed izzy at 7/2 and the last at 8/1 -1/4.the value oncourse is amazing.the 2 year old that laddies backed at 13/2 and 6/1 was 11/2 to lay when i joined the queue to take the 13/2 on the back line.he laid everyone.wish i could remember who it was to give him a mention.think it was a multiple.wasnt working ribero just helping out.working today to qualify for the christmas meal.

By:
i disagree what wilson does but if we limit the critics to those who bet 1/4 1-2-3-4 on the national and not the 1/5 1-2-3-4 that will get rid of a few.im a gold flag bookmaker but if he goes top price and gets a queue could it be that hes doing what they want and not that they havent noticed.i think they probably dont understand but im not certain.
By:
thats nice u mug a workmate and carnt even remember his name .youd have been the first to name him if he was 1/6th odds.
By:
On arrival at Newcastle, I will check the facial expression of rlyl and watch his reaction to todays results at York. 1/2 Beaming, 7/4 Contented, 33 Grimacing
If the outsider of 3 obliges, then it could be the end for Regit ![]() |
By:
I was shocked at how many did 1/5th odds in the national this year but even more shocked at how busy they were (and at the same odds as those going 1/4 odds). Next year the 1/4 odds will be in a tiny minority and that worries me as the National is our shop window to the world.
By:
theresome - he does have multiple pitches but no to the other 2 questions.
By:
* As far as I know (although I wonder how he works his 2 Chester Course pitches when there is only 2 of them!)
By:
could only be one on each joint as he doesn't pay wages to keep expenses to the minimum , sacked his father last year and only gives his wife a bag of 20p pieces
By:
regit , they must have being betting well in tatts. first winner was 11/1 everywhere and taking 13/2 when 8/1 was available . words fail me.
