Just read what you put apg - lol, missed it first time, must be tired.  8 races at Warwick in the driving rain on gypsy day can do that to you.

WASNOT,THE RACECOURSES DONT GIVE TWO HOOTS ABOUT PUNTERS GETTING RIPPED OFF(JUST LOOK AT THE PRICE OF A CUP OF TEA)THEY ARENT INTERESTED EITHER IN BOOKMAKERS ONLY HOW MUCH THEY CAN GET OUT OF THEM,THE END PRODUCT OFFERED BY THE BOOKMAKERS IS IRRELEVANT TO THE RACECOURSESSad

and so to our friend at pontefract , today , a mixture of 1/5th , 1/6th on seven of the races  [ he's thrown the 1/4 odds sign in the bin ] but he got the biggest queue when he pulled out the attractive 1/8th odds each way sign for race 3. the public loved it.

there was just one complaint at the payout to report but it was only a brief shouting match but the punter was clearly not happy about something

One more customer lost to racecourse bookmakers adge.  More worrying for Pontefract if its one more customer lost to racing.  How long will they stand for having their customers driven away by the greed of this behaviour?

greed ?

what do you think of bookmakers having 2 pitches in one ring is that not greed.
or 2 compuiters on 1 joint is that not greed.

or is that the rules and regulations.

I fail to see the similarity between duping the public with snidey EW terms and operating more than one position.

From a personal point of view I believe it should be 1 man 1 pitch in each ring & I'd be quite happy to see that knocked on the head too.  However, I don't believe that a bookmaker having more than one pitch in a ring will drive punters away from the courses.

We are all in business to make money.  Cheating with the EW is just trying to make more by underhand means.

enforcing 1 man 1 pitch might weaken some rings

They should bring back public hanging in Ponty Market Place, asked one guy in the queue what he was gonna back and why, cos its 28/1 here and only 25s next door[1/5] after pointing out he was waiting to back it at 7/2 and would get 5s next door amazingly he waited and took the 28s [ho ho ho .racing for change

maybe jw is not as mad as you all think his recent purchase off a 1/12th odds display looks as if he was aware of the opening race at aintree

will he bet a 1/5th or a 1/6th on the grand national

Jockey will be fuming!  He doesn't have a pitch at Aintree so he can't use his 1/12th odds board just yet.

3 weeks ago he bet at towcester 1/10 th a place and the punters carried on betting with him like lemmings.other books screaming out bet with us at correct place odds etc...they may as well have been speaking in russian.the moral of the story...99% of punters at the racecourse know  didly coz its just a day out for them.

The racecourse offers a terrific day out but all the actual punters now stay at home. Why do you surviving on-course layers believe that has happened?
