A bad couple of days and no joy whatever way the markets have gone - hard enough getting a winner never mind an exacta Barney

Ok here we go - since it seems you have to be in early alot of the time these days - first selection for tomorrow - priced up with five bookies.

I don't think it would have made any difference waiting until tomorrow mate - still 11/1 Paddy + VC - Lads 10/1.
Still think there's value in the 10/1 i would have it priced no bigger than 6/1 - once again doesn't mean to say it's going to win just i think there's value in the price. You will remember that they have a habit of going in next time out  |

Yeah mate i said last time either a better ride or up in trip - up in trip today which shouldn't have been a problem on breeding - the ride ? well i suppose you could say it had every chance of going on to win but it wasn't exactly well positioned by Crawley.
As you know my maximum bets usually have a habit of winning next time - this one was already due to be dropped 2lbs before today -doubt there's any chance of getting double figure odds next time. As an aside Becketts record over 10 furlongs at Lingfield is poor but very rarely will you get a horse at a price that doesn't have some kind of negative. If you've got a bit of time could you double check Becketts blinkers to no blinkers or headgear record - although as it would be it is a small sample. Cheers Sam |
