Kirty, Ocean Transit travelled really well at the front.. just looked to get outpaced, or he needs to drop another 5lb in the ratings. No real excuses though. Maybe he's just lost his way.

i think came rooney has about a length in hand with nufudh, so should win.

Why do people always have to contribute nothing but negativity to what is basically an unusually positive and interesting thread for the cesspit that is the Forum. Leave them alone LL and go and pollute a negstive thread |

I've never even considered doing the Scoop6.. If I knew enough people willing to syndicate with a large enough stake then I'd chance it.

ryanwe when you talk about heartbreaking seconds , my lucky 15s always seem to get all 4 horses placed so are you better off backing an horse to be placed on betfair or backing each way anywhere else, because i am seriously thinking about backing the selections on here to place.if you guys are studying an horse to win i have faith in it getting a place so would it not be the safer option to back it to place or backing it each way with the possibility of it winning . i think i have confused myself there although i think you get my drift

I decided to change my strategy after Chelt and Aintree festival because my horses that were EW prices 16/1+ seemed to win or come no where.. just think the horses I generally pick are horses often in current poor form returning to a winning mark. Just thinking the last 6 weeks, I've backed a lot of long priced horses who have won.. or just come absolutely no where. I just think of how more money I could of won if I had done them to win instead.
You may have a point with the last 8 selections I've said on here though Trimbellina 9/2 2nd Murcar 9/4 1st Pipette 6/1 2nd Beachwood 9/1 3rd Mr Woods 9/2 Fell Cute N You Know it 12/1 3rd Dice 11/4 3rd but only 5 runners Topflight Warbird 17/2 2nd Done every single one to win, so have lost money on them.. but I backed Cash Back to win at 40/1.. and I didn't half my stake. so works both ways. |

sparta, there is a thread on page 3,"set up a drisa" the fellow is doing something similar to what your thinking, well worth a read.
|
|
By:
And what about Alfred Nobel BBJ? Would like to think he is going to strip a lot fitter for 1st run like Fame And Glory did. Seems to go on any ground too. Going back down in trip a worry though? See he is favourite on the exchanges too. Also he has a nasty penalty putting him almost on level weights with the older horses, seasoned sprinters to be fair too. What do you make of it?
|
|
By:
I personally think he still should be too good for these but on the negative he wont be any value.I thought rain delayed won well last time when I looked at the race earlier.Looks to be on the up
|
|
By:
Yeah Rain Delayed definitely improving, and looks like he gets 6f well now as a 4yo.. obviously strengthened up. Although 1st two in that race were both drawn near the rail, and heard some people thought there may be a bias there. Could be wrong though. Looks a real tricky race to me anyway, when you get the english and irish form mixing together, sometimes you just don't know know what's going to happen.

Haydock 3.00 Blue Jack 7-1//13-2
Upcoming hold up horse and lost to two main rivals (Equiano and Borderlescott) LTO in 1st try in group company. LTO at the start (drawn 1) BJ crossed over behind all the other horses drawn high. Lost roughly 4 lengths from doing this, and as a consequence was about 8 lengths off the pace at the furlong pole. Equiano just dominated from the front, and BJ made up a huge amount of ground from off the pace, after being given way too much to do. I don't know the sectionals, so can't conclsuively say if he wasn't just going past tired horses.. and I'm guessing he is going to switch to behind the pace again, but at least there are only 8 other runners this time.. so theoretically to find cover he won't be as far back. Kingsgate Native is a bit of an unknown going in to the race, as apparently he is a lot more forward than previous years due to being gelded. On previous form you can’t really back him first time out, but definite danger if fit. Tom Dascombe, trainer of Blue Jack: "He's been very straightforward since we got him in October and in the last two weeks he's buzzing - although I honestly don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. He ran well against Group 1 sprinters at Newmarket after recording an exceptional time at Newbury and we'll hope to race him a bit closer to the pace this time. He's certainly improving and I'm not sure how many of the others are." Really happy about trainer's intentions to put horse closer to pace. Only realistic way I think the horse can reverse form with Eq and Border. Trainer form is worrying though, 1 winner out of last 15 runners when I lasted looked. Anyway dabbled at 7/1 earlier but was hoping he might go 15/2. Unfortunately he’s been well supported and I’ve had to back at 13/2 too. |
