Cheers Fab, happy enough to come out of the week unscathed, I was down 15 points after the first 2 days, poor stuff.
A great weeks racing as ever, some top performances; A Plus Tard the stand out performance for me in addition to Venetia and Lucinda getting on the board. Mullins domination is something else, it really is. He has loads of novices he didn't bring over, this is set to continue for many years. Not sure what Nicholls can do, other than better sourcing. Potentially a great Gold Cup in 2022. Some great tipping on here this week, lots of winners posted, well done all. |

Definitely my worst festival since 2015. Great Tuesday, with two winners, then nothing got remotely close, and most ran poorly. The two fatalities that I bet on Thursday didn’t help either

Finally some reward GI,well deserved .... That lad in the triumph looked a bit special.
Well done Facts and everyone else ahead on the week,it was tough. Scoring easy for me yesterday. triumph -2,county -2 etc........ x7 races  +22.58 -14.0 +8.58 0 IP My Gold Cup Day started early,I had to pick my daughter up from Gatwick around 08-30,typical timing from the offspring,"jeez its Cheltenham" fell on deaf ears. Picked her and two colleagues up,dropped the two lads off to their car,then back to south coast. When we do get back,she,s feeling knackered as been up very early to get flight home,no drama. Mrs Noc suggests a lateral flow test,just to be safe .... Yep,she's Covid positive. A little later in the day it transpires that one of the lads in car has also tested Positive. Just what I needed,I had masks in the car as well,gentle reminder to everyone,keep your guard up. She's 25,gym bunny etc .... Feels awful this morning,isolating too in her flat,worrying. Guess who else is isolating in the F**king lounge,the bloody taxi driver Moral of the story ..... In the grand scheme of things,racing does not always take centre stage. |

Hope yer OK Noc. I've definitely let my guard down during the last month or so - you just get fed up with
all the precautions, but I suppose no one is fed up in the cemetery so it's better to be careful. Good luck to Miss Noc. |
