Unfortunately, there's some confusion over point scoring, with Totesport and the Racing Post unable to agree when horses start accumulating points from. Check out the If you were intending to enter the Ten to Follow today... thread on main horse racing forum!

Just entered 10 lists. Didn't read about this confusion over scoring. Hope I don't get shafted, but expecting to start scoring today.

New site is interesting and chosing silks was great fun. Couldn't decide on Red Rum or One man colours, so just went for something glamorous.

Worst part is I couldn't update my card details without having to phone for assistance.

Good luck everyone.

Let's hope for a great jumps season.

Happy

You will be fine REM, points start from the time your entries were placed. Good luck.

I've entered 10 stables as well. I would be amazed if the Racing Post are right.

Yes Vinnie - the Racing Post are indeed wrong and points start ticking from when you enter.

Hi,  Placed my lists at Betfred shop on Thursday , lists were not date stamped, cashier rang to check and kept top two parts of the slip , how do they  know i entered the lists before the comp started on Friday, did not realise about no actual receipt till later.

It will be on their shop records as they have to scan all bets in I guess.

Well, plan A would have worked wonders...

...but decided on more adventurous plan B and now have a massive sense of under achievement.

Early days yet. Normally wouldn't look at leaderboard til after King George.

I got very lucky.
Wasn't going to put Al Ferof in at all until For Non Stop pulled out of the Paddy Power...
then decided to put him in 10 just in case...
then changed my mind again and more or less removed Sanctuaire completely (bar 2 lists) and put Al Ferof in 22.  Only starred twice though.

Nobody got any complaints about the entry process?  It used to take me an hour to do 50 lines, today and yesterday it must have taken at least 5 to put in 80.  The whole thing was unfathomable. I'd put Sprintre Sacre and Big Buck's at the top, split the chasers and hurdlers, save the list and the horses seemed to just move in to a random position.

The site looks to be improved, but surely they can make the entry process easier?  It cost them £100 of entries from me alone.  I suppose there must be an upside in that the really big syndicates must have seriously struggled to get their entries in this time.

You should only enter a horses name once, and then choose which stables to place him in. It should be something like this.

1) Enter how many stables you want.
2) Choose the name for each stable.
3) Enter the horses name.
4) Choose which stables to place him in.

It's a basic program, which eliminates the repeating process. You could enter 10 lists in less then 5 min.

Hurricane Fly was a very welcome win as in loads of our lists (compared to Go native in only one).

A little fortuitous, but that should set him up nicely for Hattons Grace perhaps, and the Irish Champion Hurdle. Good run first time out against fitter rivals.

I'm just happy the entry period stays open until the 30th - I might manage to find myself a half decent list by then after a poor 2 days

Not 100% sure Duffy but I think all stables selections will be open for viewing at the end of the entry period

Positions mean nothing at this early stage. Early leaders are seldom there right at the end. Give it a few weeks and then we'll see who has the right combinations coming through. For example, the Betfair Chase could see big movements for those with either Long Run, Siliviniaco Conti or Cue Card in their lists. Big Buck's and Oscar Whisky will be out at the weekend, then there's the Fighting Fifth, where several of the main hurdlers will be strutting their stuff. Then we'll have the Hennessy to look forward to. All good fun.

Did you hold some of your entries back so you could assess it after the Paddy Power Joci Club or did you go all in early doors?

20th overall four runners four winners, I think you may find picking up points early in this format is vital Joci

Anyone got Hurricane Fly and Go Native???, Think Noel will bring Go Native over for Christmas Hurdle and Fighting? Didn't choose a Paddy Power Horse because i don't fancy anything to come out the race and win at the festival or aintree. Should be an interesting season imo.

Hurricane Fly
Big Buck's
Thousand Stars
Sanctuaire
Bobs Worth
Boston Bob
Silviniaco Conti Star Horse
My Tent Or Yours

Breathing op for Grand Crus seems likely. That's a blow for many as the 5th most popular entry and top star horse. Wonder how long it will need to recover?

Surprised that Big Bucks and Sprinter Sacre are the next most popular star horses. Probably start odds-on in most races.

220th best list so far but Darlan & S Sacre nr's a blow, as it will have been to many no doubt. On a different note anyone know the 8 Stable Stars in WHTheJumps?

Sad about Go Native. Seemed like a great talent a few years back.

Bad news for many entries as he was 36th most popular. There really is an issue here that will spoil the competition.
