As they old quote said, that is a bold statement from a one eyed fat man

By:
No idea what Irish and Deptford are saying but their opinions on the Derby aren't worth a pinch of sh*t

By:
Not sure what you're getting at, Bizzy. Had loads of races in Ireland and never disqualified. However, if you're right, hope he's not going to chuck it like Toomaline Jack

12 Irish i think over today including Clares Rocket, Sonic and Priceless Brandy
By:
Clares Rocket ran the track an absolute dream there, perfect
By:
Priceless Brandy a nice run as well
By:
clares rocket would want to be coming away though the way he cuts the bend
By:
Sonic 15.46 - lost off last bend, very wide
*bowser* Clash 29.31 Frankies Lad 29.55 Clares Rocket 28.94 - ran the track great this time, did not go wide off the first Priceless Brandy 29.10 - good run, ran track well again Sab Millar 29.07 - that was deceptively fast Garryvoe Bobby - 29.43 - stream was a bit dodgy, think he may have hit the rail at the first again *bowser* |
By:
That's perfect mesi, a wide who stays wide is not winning a Derby around here, a fast up wide who cuts the bends has a massive chance (of course they must clear though)
By:
know what you mean just thought he started cutting in a bit early
By:
maybe splitting hair's
By:
Garryvoe Bobby is struggling to run the track, i would definitely give him another spin around though, Sonic will need another sighter as well
By:
whoops jack ran the track as good as any 29-26 i think

agree mesi, thought he ran really well

Derby final to be run at 8:56 this year for the betting shops
i thought Star Sports only had 1 shop in Mayfair ??I stupidly thought since Billies had given up the race may have been run just after 10pm again, i was wrong |
By:
It'll therefore be run in daylight won't it? Why not next year run it at 10.45 on a Saturday morning so that it can be shown live on ATR's show and to satisfy viewers from abroad..?!!
As someone who went to a number of White City finals in the 70s and 80's I ask myself "What on earth has happened to this once wonderful event?" |

TELEVISION arrangements have been confirmed for the Star Sports English Greyhound Derby at Towcester with Racing Post Greyhound TV agreeing a deal to broadcast the early rounds and Sky Sports picking up the baton from round three.
In a change of plan, round three onwards will now be classified as Bags meetings so also shown live in betting shops with the final on July 1 scheduled earlier than ever before at 8.56. In addition to showing the first and second rounds, as has been the case in recent years, RPGTV is also on standby to cover a qualifying round in the week commencing May 22 if the number of entries received requires it to facilitate three greyhounds qualifying from every heat. RPGTV will also show the final on July 1 as a standalone race, Towcester having adhered to the GBGB's stated aim when it awarded the rights for the Classic that the event should be available to the widest possible audience ![]() once again, not good |

I understand BAGS are contributing to the prize money to secure the betting shop slots. What a shame the Derby cant stand on its own two feet without having to compromise on timing to get a few quid. I thought the Towcester promotion to secure the competition was based on funds being available without selling the soul of the sport which allowed for the return of the 10pm final but obviously not. Those in charge of BAGS don't care.
By:
take the wide of clares rocket because it wont be winning the derby drawn in 6 cutting in going to the first bend
By:
Not the "best dog in training" tonight I see!

1st run since November and only 2nd run since August, you have to be fishing ??
I thought he was disappointing to the corner (not clearing 4 easier) and he has now missed the break last twice in them boxes but he showed all the pace afterwards. Maybe being harsh but he sets such a high bar you except fireworks from him near every time he hits the track. They could take the seeding off him Dr, ran unseeded through last years Kirby Memorial, don't think they will though |
By:
if mine will do it straight away pf because will get ko because of going in towards the 1st bend
By:
Too easy to fish you so where would the fun be in it. What I'm doing is pointing out how wrong you get it - almost all of the time, and yet you purport to be God's gift to the forum.
By:
go away you bore, i don't purport to be anything, you build me up to be something by following me around stalking me when i post on here
the dog is the fastest dog in training (in my opinion), he showed his pace there from out of the 2nd to the 4th he will however have to start trapping a lot better and show the pace he showed up last year over here, that could be down to rustiness or maybe he has lost a yard of his early, the only way we will know is down to races which he badly needs i personally think |
By:
Clares Rocket raced with a Middle seed tonight, imagine they will probably go Rails after that.
By:
Clares rocket ran really well
If you're on ante post would be happy with that Would seed it rails as not many dogs seem to trap well in t6 from them 500 m boxes And ain't going to many seeded wide So of middles may end up in t6 |
By:
Looked like any other race at towcester
For I know trap 3 in the last trial stake heat could have been as fast To the eye they all look the same Wimbo you could tell with a dog that just taken off Rocket run ok for dog that's not raced for ages |
By:
Maybe you could tell how hard
The hare going But with chapman blasting Can't tell |
By:
They're taking the (m) off Clares Rocket, will be unseeded when he runs next around Towcester
By:
I stalk you? LMAO. Clair's Rocket is without doubt the fastest dog in Irish training, as Droopys Buick probably is over here, and as the Scottish commentator was in his rights to opine. But you of course hype it up, as ever, ignoring Australia, America, etc;. You know all about greyhound racing worldwide! lol. Anyway my issue with you is still the same, as exemplified by your various comments about CR. Before the race you were comprehensively telling us all he;d break 28secs. After he lost you authoritatively told us all that he needed the run. Love the sound of your own voice, that's you.

Wouldn't be surprised if CLARES rocket don't come back for the Derby now his heart was broken badly by the Brusiers Bullet dog
