It will b shot tracker Thursday nite then, as won't see any shots bar the marquee trio!
By:
this US OPEN seems open
By:
Probably no shot tracker either due to it being a major too!!!
By:
Dustybin, Scott and Pod for my darts.
By:
hope early player internet
By:
What's that money?
By:
You have to have some McIlroy I think he is real value, he said he was hitting it better than ever, a really good driver and must shorten before the off. Also like GMac, the best driver out there.
By:
does anyone know if the course will be firm and fast or soft?
By:
I think G-Mac definitely offers the best value and can see him being popular by all the usual tipsters
By:
My guess is lush rough slightly faster firm greens, they are not expecting rainfall until Thursday, then clear for the weekend.
Loving Dufner at 80s as well has a very good game for a US open. |
By:
Lefty was good value at 40s but that's long gone
By:
Feck all on the app re the current course conditions, but usual penal rough off the fairway can be hopefully expected, make them work hard for their $$'s.
By:
how the chuck can 3 putt duff win a us open in his current form
By:
when WW has driver worries never mind the putting, the rough is brutal
By:
Dufner's game in a hole Eric, maybe if his price doubles. Having a lot of trouble with with 4-5 footers which is not a winning formula at a US Open.
By:
Dufner's putting has certainly gone backwards again. Why is Jimbo so low? Is it because the open is in his home state? I know he won a US tourny in about 1955, but come on 50s really?!
By:
i always back furyk for the US open i think he will have a good showing again.....actually i almost back him everyweek, im stuck in that zone where i can't bear to leave him out
By:
hate it when i caught up backing same player week in week out.i must have lost a fortune on de jonge finally got out of doing him like that. also on european tour david drysdale must have cost me a good few quid
By:
i had the same with Watney, stopped backing him just before his 2 wins last year
By:
a few years ago i was the same with brian gay.dropped him and he won within 2 wks
![]() |
By:
Hank I think people are looking at Furyk because it's such a short course (6800 yards).
By:
Peter Hanson a big price anyone?
By:
Kevin Chappell available at 150/1 with Coral.
At the other end of the market I got 25/1 on Kuchar last week. |
By:
Wouldn't back him lower than 500.
By:
good shout on Chappell, two top tens in the last 2 US Opens + in good form with his runner-up a fortnight ago where i was over £8K green and wasn't able to lay any off!
![]() ![]() |
By:
The top 10s and runner up well factored in to that 150/1. I'm with ski. At least Michael Thompson has won something.
By:
Just don't get the Michael Thompson price - biggest bet of the week for me
By:
Biggest name affecting the course this week is Angela, she is always wet, and likes things moist, soft and forgiving. Merion will not have a chance defending herself against her.
I am expecting Roryesque record scores. Anyone expecting this to be course for short hitting 'safety first' golfers are going to be disappointed. Boomers are going to be hitting the greens from miles out and holding on near the flag. As usual I will be backing long odds players who are more than 4 times the field number, with a few exceptions which are: Kyle Stanley (hoping he has made it in today if ranked 60th) have him at 270 currently Billy Horschel have him at 120, and is playing as well as anyone on tour except Tiger. Sang Moon Bae at 300 seems good value Plenty of 1000-1 shots I am happy to put money on here. |
By:
sorry, my mistake, make that ANDREA

By:
Sounds silly but the best 1000 shot is Darren Clark, great driver, playing ok after his injury and if he gets in contention he is one great competitor
Rory just keeps getting better loving the price, plays poorly then wins a major, he has history. A lot of 300 shots I am loading up on |
By:
like your thinking eric, but saw Darren's interview on the BBC NI and didn't get the feeling that he was that confident.
I would choose Olazabal over Clarke, other 1000-1 I like: Douglas LaBelle Bio Kim Yoshinobu Tsukada Morten Orum Madsen Brian Stuard Russell Knox Yui Ueda Hiroyuki Fujita Matt Bettencourt Edward Loar Scott Langley Jung-Gon Hwang |

By:
Damn you two!!
I have had to put money on him now as well. ![]() |
By:
Ooustie and Rory my two big bets on the favourites
Like Howell, Hansen, Na, Wie as outsiders |
By:
Rough apparently is tough , winner probably going to be someone who drives it straightish ( but not necessarily long ) and keeps it largely on the short stuff . No bet so far , may not even have one , but Luke Donald fits some of the criteria I have referred to , and would be much shorter price with a decent round under his belt in the last few outings .
