Yeah the graphic is good. They're not going to be short of donations and volunteers in this sprint finish.

Does anybody know why exactly the politics forum has been shut down.. how can they justify doing that .. ?

what is the reason behind this ....who or why has made this decision

such a shame as there was a lot of informative analysis on there

I have no idea bardo, I just tried to log in one day and couldn't, I'm sure someone else will know more.

I asked them. They gave a reply but dodged the question. I think it's fairly safe to assume that it had to with all the discussion about riots, immigration etc since iirc they closed the chit chat forum under similar circumstances. I quite like General Betting forum so far :)

I asked if it was possible to have some threads (in this case the US election ones) from there migrated to another subforum. They said they were passing on my question, but I haven't heard back.

It's also annoying they completely shut it down rather than making it read only, like they did with chit chat.

Almost certainly due to the riots and riot threads

Possibly saved people from jail given the sentences handed out in the last few days!

Polls probably out like last time (2022)

Trump not on the ballot there. It's Trump support the pollsters can't quantify.

Lots of magas on the ballot. Did worse than predicted.  While generally outperformed by non maga republicans.  Is there a theme here ?

MAGAS just want Trump, they don't want a Trump successor or Trump surrogate, even if Trump endorses them himself.

A lot of Trump voters have never voted for anything other than Trump in their lives. I expect many said they'd vote Republican but weren't motivated enough without Trump on the ballot.

And the MAGA candidates were a real clown car tbh

God might send another Jesus when he learns that this Trump will not be eligible for a third term. Someone like Don Jr. could be next Jesus.

Rally in NC today.  Only held 2300, best way to minimise empty seats

Interesting piece on RFK. Sounds like he would drop out and endorse any candidate that publicly offers him a cabinet role, and talks are probably still going on with Trump.

Trump +1 with fox to stem the tide of good Kamala polling today. Suggests the averages have it about right at Kamala +2/3 rather than higher.

For the same poll to find trump +1 against Biden last month is just weird.  Is that a cut and paste?

Biden wasn't doing so bad really in the polls.

Though it was hard to see why it was going to get better.

Have a look at the cnn thing on double haters today.

55% swinging to kamala now

I think that's whats likely shifting the market today, not sure the source of the poll though

Apparently if the environment is Harris +3 there's going to be some Tie/Trump+1 and some Harris +6, just a numbers game.

The market on here has been behind the models and the Poly price on Harris all week, its almost caught up now, not quite.

That Emerson poll was good for Harris today, from Trump+6 against Biden to Harris+4, I think that is a pollster that is normally good for Trump.

Still has Rasmussen and fox to cling to, wouldn't be surprised if they'd doctored the fox one to slow down his meltdown

They should start going for him,  might get a shiny new candidate

Emerson usually favour Trump more than other polls as already stated. Rasmussen are just a joke and should be ignored as they have always been part of the GOP propaganda project. Their founder was always a regular on Fox News pushing his nonsense.

while Rasmussen is GOP leaning, is it at least consistent (if so you you can still get some good info by comparing history) or are they doing shenanigans like putting extra percentage on Trump when things are looking bleak etc?

They have always been very biased towards the GOP well before Trump came on the scene. I would not trust their figures at all and I have just ignored them for years. I can remember Scott Rasmussen being on Fox News all the time pushing his polls during the 2012 election where they had Romney winning the popular vote in their final poll.
By:

When: 15 Aug 24 20:00
I think Scott has founded RMG Research now, polling seems to be more middle of the road, but they still carry the Rasmussen name so MAGA's have a meltdown when get confused and think Trump is down bigly with their favourite pollster.
