Agueroo has been massive improver especially at lingfield this doesn't look strong race for the grade to me and on whats been seen so far the fav agueroo looks one to beat on form shown,one that looks well handicapped still is Bahamian sunshine.Absolutely hacked up by 6ls when last run over this 6fs I will be very surprised if not better than current mark of 68 Sammy joe bell takes off another 3 pound and would rather have a little speculative bet at prices.05ptew

Boollass could be well in off 64 the maiden she won was quicker than the handicap that age of innocence won on same day and works out almost 1/2 second in hand at weights and she won easily that day,although second has slightly let that form down she is worth a small bet to confirm improvememt.Age of innocence and alpha tauri were in that race on the same day and both should figure again..15ptew

Typical 5f low grade handicap to end with a few options charlie lad ran 3rd in better race than this off 58 over c/d had a few of these behind thats the best piece of recent form obvious chance if repeating that run,also had recent winners shwkantango and speightstown lad behind and is drawn well in 1.Sir geoffrey has shown nothing on the aw this season although has had the worst of the draws in both 5f races,was rated 66 at this track last season now races of just 53,that's lower than when he won off 54 in deceber 2013 off 54 dangerously handicapped iff anything like and again drawn well in 2 next to charlie lad.Will mention one other azerelle in first time blinkers and also drawn low in 3 has only 9 lifetime runs and has run here was in weaker race but was 3rd to shawkantango off 50 tomorrow runs off 49 but claimer takes off abnother 7 so although that was a poor race could still run well back on surface..

09 Jan 16 14:12 Regrettably no bet for me today, but well spotted - looked diff class - am beginning to wonder if the AW is going to be the vehicle for making money that it has been in the past, I'm sure there will be opportunities in the next 3 months or so but maybe not as many as in the past due to so many more people being clued up and the books running scared when someone has a fiver EW. There are always plenty that stick out like a sore thumb but are priced accordingly. Early days but time will tell Plain I don't think punters are more clued up,very few put the hours in the aw is pretty simplistic stuff yet from what I see and read punters picking they obviously have no understanding of it especially where times are involved.All the better pros I know are in their late 50s early 60s now so aren't ruining prices anymore and more importasntly for me not ruining the placepots as we;'d have the same picks.It's just the racing is so uncompetituve and field sizes have been so poor,might just be December and jan hopefully will pick up, October bnovember were fantastic months the problem is now there's more chelmsford meetings and I try avoid betting there still, plus there will be Newcastle soon so will be even more diluted. |

Like you say AW racing quite easy to weigh up if you are prepared to put the hours in but getting on is another matter. I am virtually finished on here due to pc and have had all accounts closed or limited elsewhere.I have people that put on for me but most of them have suffered the same. The prices are there the night before but as you know trying just to get a few hundred on before the price disappears is virtually impossible. The only way forward for me is betting after the markets have settled down and looking for a standout, which are few and far between but they are there, like Alpha Tauri last May available at 33-1 - 40-1 all day
. I have been full time punting for the last 15 years and am approaching 57 and you don't come across as a spring chicken either so you know the score. As for today Boolas And Lucky Mark look sure to go close with Zaeem best on the clock with a good saver on Capt Lars. Good Luck for the rest of the season. Made my money after 5/6 years of betting fella so its really just a compulsion nothing else to do now,the money really doesn't come into it I want to win 5 figures when I have a bet so I just try and exploit the ricks with multiple bets don't have to be best prices as long as some value.
On the aw and turf might go a a few weeks without anything but at least when I get a hit its worth having,i don't spend much time looking on here at markets as rarely see much value around.I'd be better off just doing placepots than trying to find value in single bets on a daily basis than trying to get on,trouble is a lot of these meetings are just so poor even the placepots have to sidestep on a high % of meetings.Im no spring chicken but doubtful I will be betting in my 50s,especially as I like to cover everything,last turf season I did everything and was best betting year by a long way,but I know there's no way I could do that again killed me. Yet another horse that returns after only 7 days off and runs a stone below form,never seen so many at swell producing decent speedfigures then coming out within a week and losing play nicel very similar to capelita I put on here,the only positive thing about it is you should get better value another day.. |

Good reason for horses running one good race followed by a poor one at Southwell but would rather not discuss on a forum - like you say if they run poor then a better price next run - talking about workload - sprints only for me if I do anything on the flat this year, fed up with slowly run races over 1m+ same with the AW so many races run in a crawl can't be bothered with it

Hard card today glad to have the winner,earlier on thread I said boots and spurs could be one to follow time was slow that was in capelitas race so changed my mind and once again Zaeeem comes back with a stinking run after 8 days off,just as well wasn't 4/1 as it would've been a bet.I don't bet in 2 mile races very often or 1m6f as they are usually farcical all the value usually lies with races up to a mile anyway and sprints are the main thing that interest me..

10 Jan 16 14:51 They looked to go pretty quick there,Boots and Spurs just seemed to out stay them - with the going changing from meeting to meeting the jocks are getting caught out imo There's been a big dip in temps so now the tracks going to be a lot slower,a lot of these winners that produce these decent times don't always produce it when the surfaces are slower,it's always been the same although milder winters have made it not so frequent.It's the time opf year as I said December can be a poor betting month as can jan/feb especially at swell if you get involved when the going gets desperately slow the form can be completely meaningless.. |

Thats the thing with Southwell - the goings have ranged from v fast to just on the slow side of standard in just the last 8 meetings including today - but the official going has always been standard - massive edge - if you can get your head round it

War glory ran in a maiden that was run in a decent time last time out 1m27.53 was actually hoping to see maybe slightly bigger price after the shorties having got beat on second runs back but on the other runners form in the race unless the newcomers are anygood then does look a 2s on shot.Probably an 80+ horse which isn't unbeatable but nothings run within at least 10 pounds of that so far.It should go off 1/2 tops so reasonable trade in there..50pt win

Hardly betting at the moment so that's why I kept posting,cards have been abysmal for weeks made it a challenge for myself by betting ew but was hoping to be have a flow of bigger prices to bet and so the ricks would be justified by betting ew.Prices and fields just havn't been there to find anything,so had to resort to shorter prices which isn't the turnover of bets I would be expecting.Obviously I'm only putting a snapshot of bets I do on a daily basis so thread will never see the full benefit of what I do,but as I'm struggling to turnover the usual amounts of bets I would on a weekly basis will keep posting.Will try and get to 100 bets or if it doesn't get to monotonous will try and go till end of aw season,the main objective was too show you can win at sp despite that every punter and tipster thinks is unachievable and remembering I'm betting ew so making it even harder for myself.Will definitely end up in profit at sp,just need some decent prices to go at and I will start increasing the stakes as the ricks are at those bigger prices once the cards become on paper more competitive..

I was banned from hills shops 20 years ago,absolutely detest the firm so whenever I have any forecasts or see something bigger following day I try and get bets on in shops,quite easy to get decent bets on in shops as there's 6/7 hills shops within 10 mins of each other where I live.A couple of times a month usually forecasts on the aw when I can get someone to put the bets on for me,i havn't been in a shop for years..

What a dandy is hard to win with but has been running respectably,contested a class 4 at Chelmsford last time out running well over a mile out wide tried to make all in a race had no chance beaten a couple of lengths.Penultimate run to that had run a decent 2nd in this grade to putaringonit in respectable time for grade,not particularly well handicapped a pound above last winning mark and with combination of headgear and pieces for first time shows how difficult to win with.Rhiain ingram also rides not a huge positi8ve but at least this season has rode some winners and with the 7 off makes what a dandy look well handicapped on recent form,drawn 3 if she doesn't let horse runaway would have at least decent place chance.The race looks very competitive for grade but at double figure prices worth a small ew.10ptew

Worst race of the day and Seraphima might be worth having a small ew bet even though she only runs over 5fs a trip that looks on the short side but this is the weakest race she's ever contested and only 2 races back was running on 5th at wolves in slightly better race than tomorrows.The time of her division was far faster than the one midnight destiny ran in at wolves,tomorrows 9/4 fav and although a place maybe her best chance the track may just enable her to get involved with almost guaranteed pace in this 5f race.She could just be out for the run then back up to 6fs but as race is so bad it's having a small bet to see..10ptew
