Desperate ride full of running jock all over the place had saver on 4 places but should've been at least placed,got some dent prices on here as well and for place needs different jock on it..

All about the prices may win a race but this was the weakest race it will ever run in just a pity it was 5fs,doubt it will be any value in future races although I have noticed it's last few runs has drifted like a barge but that's the trainer and jock and unpredictability of the grade.The front 3 in the market looked aswful as I saiod in write up the fav couldn't beat seraphima not even in shake up..

The cards have become tedious over the last month if they havn't picked up over the next week,going to have some time off as just not betting havn't seen cards like this on a daily basis for 20 years.Maybe so many Chelmsford cards are ruining the other cards,i don't like anything tomorrow but will have a token bet on port paradise this class 6 looks abysmal and on recent run behind tomorrows fav beaten 3 1/4ls shouldn't beat it on theior 6f c/d run.Port paradise was held up off the pace that day ran a little wide,has first time headgear tomorrow and has an 11 pound pull with winner and 10 pound with runner up.Minimum stake on very speculative bet,see if he can get any nearer in first time headgear he has been going off half these prices so could be a decent trade anyay for anyone who wants a slight interest.05ptew

Not betting tomorrow another load of rubbish might be nothing Wednesday either desperate stuff prices are a waste of time,just waiting on some better cards giving it till end of week then going to have some time off if cards don't improve..

Things are just warming up ken, don't pull out now after all the good ground work. Agree its been pants for a little while but like me you must have plenty lined up that are just screaming to be backed. Will be interesting to see how Southwell rides tomorrow now the weather has cooled. The best is yet to come

Another couple of desperate cards tomorrow,will have a small bet on bogardus has looked suited to Kempton and wolcves surfaces ning on 4th to ickymasho from back of field over 1m4fs wthen won a weak Kempton handicap over 1m2fs.He then got dropped to 1m1 1/2fs tripped looked a little on short side and the race was run at no pace,has only had 5 lifetime runs on the aw and still only on a mark of 64 was rated 76 on turf.This looks a weak race for class and although tepping up in grade slightly looks like he can still win races off current mark,a small ew bet.10ptew

As the cards are looking so poor on the aw, I may start putting up a few of the hunters on here,won't be my picks and they won't be short prices either but they will be cracking value,a lot of them won't necessarily shorten either and will generally be decent ew bets..

Kaisan came out of an average looking maiden at leicester,finishing 6th not given a hard race most of the horses infront are now rated in 70s and winged dancer now rated 77 had previous experience just infront in 5th,the sire is rip van winkle 3/7 at swell with a 159% roi.Would be hard to be overconfident as lay off of 100 days and could be a handicap job,this race looks weaker than the leicester race could well be smashed off the boards with spencer riding definitely one for notebook if not given a hard race.Highest rated horse in race is 72 kaisan could well be a potentila 80 horse but if unplaced could get thrown in off mid 60s in handicap so will have a small bet,betting will be very interesting.10ptew

Gaelic silver drops into a claimer another veteran at 10 but another that although on downgrade still running respectable looks well in at the weights with claimer tomorrow and ran well behind trimoulet at kempton,as long as goes on track looks the one to beat.15ptew

Dunquin bought from ireland by johnmackie looks one to keep an eye on for future handicvaps,ran in some decent handicaps in ireland against 90 rated horses as 3yr old and has gone down the weights from 78 to 72 loooking well handicapped the big ? is best trip and surface now running over here.Debut run at wolves was very encouraging 6th to berlusca in a better race than tomorrows over the extended mile,hadn't run for 8 months.,out of cape cross looks like experimenting with swell surface over 1m4fs the sire has 13% strike rate on surface and sire of golden horn and sea the stars so an interesting runner with graham lee booked.Betting wil be very interesting,might be too much to ask only 2nd run back on what will be slow surface but have to have a small bet with promise of more to come and looks one to follow.05ptew

Alpha tauri 10yr old now keeps going off stupid prices last time out 15/8 in a 5f race you wouldn't really want to be backing him at short prices I backed him at 33s when he won last season so backing at 8/1 not great price with strike rate , last 3 winning marks have been 67,68,69 he's now on 69 but been running respectably over 6fs tomorrow steps back up to 7fs last winning distance .This still might be to good a race couple of unexposed ones but worth a small bet and worth noteing as will [probably win before end of season at far bigger price,the main positive tomorrow he won't mind the slower going as on monday similar to what he won on last win and most of the other runners havn't run on surface like this before...05ptew

Is there any way of finding out when they are going to work on the track at Southwell in advance as I only realised at lunchtime when I checked the BHA website and it was a bit late for a couple bets.

There is no form when it gets slow its just guessing which horses will go on it,you get impossible results plus all the winners like today get crazy marks because of false form,winters have been mild last few seasons as well so finding any form with horses that have run on it simply isn't there.Was a destruction job on kaisans sp was always going to go off nearer evens with such poor form in the race,desperate stuff..

just looking at the going at Southwell last season - most of jan and early feb raced on going slower than standard. Thought your selections were based on times ken?

Avoid the meetings unless I know exactly what the going is and very rarely bet the next day,so if I'm uncertain and the going might be really slow I don't bet night before,might have the odd bet but better off playing a numbers game anmd doing the placepots far more value..

What a dandy has been running well the second over c/d behind putaringonit in respectable time then the second last time out,the negatives are there to see drawn 10 and rhiain ingram rides last time out was drawn well to take advantage of draw.It's a very open race but 10/1 probably would've been 5/1 if she'd had a decent draw so worth a small bet at double figures.10ptew

Havn't been able to get online for 2 hours, backed matraash at 7/1 runs in same race as What a dandy was cantering last time out in a better class race looked unlucky loser behind fern owl although I mentioned when bogardus ran in that race was very little pace on and the time was slow.If the 10yr old can repeat that form then has obvious ew chance and should be fav,bogardus and innoko have franked the form the last couple of days,the ? is why has matraaash not run as well previously,the 7/1 has gone was 8/1 with ppower.10ptew
