i've never ever paid pcharge, lifetime profit was 35% approx, i have won £12,000 gp paid £700 approx commission paying 4200 pcharge less my buffer paying 2500ish

it's very harsh imo but those who think cos they have never paid pcharge that it will hardly affect you will get a big shock

If Betfair is the sole provider of the platform your methods require, then you are naive in thinking it would last forever.

That is excellent to hear andy.

So how much do you win on average by cheating the clock?

IMO Betfair would be doing a disservice charging you 97% profit.

What about those of us that are paying the Premium charge and are not "Beating the clock".. i.e pre-match postions on football or tennis?? And then  trade in running. How is that fair... It's not!!

What do you think is wrong with what he's doing ?

I think it is wrong that he thinks he is hard done by by being charged a minuscule amount for being able to bet on the outcome of an event after it has been decided.

I accept that if it can be done it will be done and there is nothing stopping people like me from doing it too. No issue with that.

But to complain that a small portion of his virtually risk free profit is taken from his as a result is very cheeky.

I would be very surprised if there is much money to make after a race is decided.
Betting with a few seconds advantage during the race is a totally different story than trying to lay fallers and back the winner @ 1.01 and it's certainly not risk free.

Eddie why are you trying to defend him on technicalities?

Ok, so he doesn't use the advantage to bet on the outcome after it has finished. Instead he uses it to bet on the outcome a few seconds after it has happened?

I have no issue with this. I do have an issue with said person popping up and feeling hard done by. I could show him a hard done by account and it would look sack all like his I gaurantee.

I just don't like it when people call others cheats when they break no rules.
People will always have different time delays on whatever media they are watching around the world.
Would you call people betting from their mobiles in a football stadium cheats just because they have a few seconds advantage over the ones watching in their livingroom ?
Would you call a Brit betting on Wimbledon tennis from his living room a cheat as his tv pictures could very well  be a few seconds ahead of someone watching elsewhere in the world ?

gerbs no.....i win more on turf as rule where the liquidity is better the better i do hence why i would do better on a level playing field....and as for beating the clock...that is rubbish yes there are races where you may get value late on but i play the same whatever the pic delay

Please read the full thread. I have no issue with cheating or almost cheating or not cheating or however you want to describe it.

Once again I will say - my issue is with popping up and complaining that a comparatively minuscule amount of your profit has been taken from you.

what betfair are doing with charging a supertax is far worse than what i'm doing to ensure i play on a level playing field...even then the old style track player with binocs sees a faster pic than i do

my issue is only that people call someone cheats when clearly they break no rules.

Cheers Eddie.

I accept perhaps my wording was a bit off but you can see from my posts my issue isn't with perceived cheating or however I may have wrongly worded it but with creating a thread complaining that you suddenly find yourself being [under]charged for it.
