Hi rr
Yes, this flat season has been my worst ever in 25 years, but because of the way I stake, losses have been minimal, so no tears. I am currently working on a few things for the coming jumps and AW period, but as yet it's too early for me re Cheltenham. Just two for me for tomorrow atm. Ascot 2.10 Fairy Rath 6/1 Ascot 3.20 Triolo D'Alene 8/1 ![]() |

good weekend for you, good horse that johns spirit, remember when that won last year, has special meaning for me that name
my uncle died few years ago, his name was john. paddy power is a good race, shows good handicappers can win it off a low weight. no doubt normal service will resume and you will find plenty of winners over the jumps. goodluck |

Good evening.
Three for tomorrow, and hopefully I can build on the recent small successes. In the 2.25 at Haydock, Trustan Times is following a similar path to last year, when because of a holiday I missed backing him in this when he won last year after having made a note of him earlier in the month. At least 10/1 atm. In the 3.00 Silviniaco Conti has a 100% record on flat left hand galloping tracks and has also recorded his highest speed figure from me under these cicumstances. 11/4 or bigger could look a good price tomorrow. At Ascot in the 3.15 Drumshambo is a horse I've recently noted and a run similar to his last should see another win. This one is at least 7/2 right now which is bigger that I thought it would be. ![]() |

Good afternoon.
I've decided on three for tomorrow although there are at least two others I like as well. Up at Newcastle in the 'Fighting Fifth' off at 2.05 My Tent Or Yours is highly fancied to take this. However, I just have a sneaking suspicion that the stiff finish at Newcastle will be more suited to Melodic Rendezvous (11/4). It would have been better with softer ground, but I still think MTOY is Lay material at that price. The Hennessy at Newbury as always is a bit tricky, and the current fav is an obvious one. But for me, I do like the look of Rocky Creek, even though there are a couple of question marks against him. However, I shall focus on the positives for now and the fact that he does seem to run very well on flat galloping tracks. 8/1 for this atm. In the 3.35, I will be on Next Sensation in the hope that he can reproduce his last performance which was run in a time that should see him winning this. 11/2 atm. ![]() |

Morning.
A case of almost at Newbury on Saturday. The Hennessy seems to be my unluckiest race over recent years. Becher Chase Haven't exactly looked at this race, but did notice that Planet Of Sound was entered for Saturday and a likely runner. I've had a small e/w at 20/1. You may remember that this horse would have 'won' the Grand National but for not getting the trip??? Has a cracking record on the big galloping courses and must have a good chance of at least a place if retaining his ability. Stable in good form right now, so worth a small bit I think. ![]() |

Just one to add for tomorrow in the 2.25 at Sandown. Calculated Risk looks to have a decent chance in what is an awful renewal of this once great race. 10/1 looks reasonable enough. River Maigue an obvious fav and other dangers I think could be Specialagent Alfie and Milord.

3/1 available for Riverside Theatre tomorrow. If anywhere near his best, will humiliate the others and hopefully end any chance of Captain Chris running in the King George instead of Menorah.
3/1 is just way too big, a fantastic bet. |
|
By:
A good win there from RT and I would expect him to come on a bit for that run. Didn't have to run to his best to come out on top. Hopefully now, Mr Hobbs will realise that Captain Chris is a lost cause in the KG and run Menorah who has always been a superior chaser. Fingers crossed here.

Good evening.
Nothing major for tomorrow, just the two, both at shortish prices. I'm working all day tomorrow, so will have to watch the recording when I get home. Cheltenham 2.25 John's Spirit 11/2 ish. Have to do this as he owes me nothing and hasn't done anything wrong this season. Ran to a high speed figure again lto when just holding on from Colour Squadron who I think is the main danger. 3.00 Zarkandar 5/2 ish has twice run faster than The New One ever has and should win this if around his best. Despite running well enough, TNO has yet to convince me that he is a solid top class horse, his speed figures just don't back-up all the hype and for me at the price is a lay. ![]() |

Not good for me on Saturday. Never mind, I've had far worse days.
Forgot to mention that straight after RT's win the other day, I decided to have small wagers on Long Run for the King George and Teaforthree for the Welsh National. Both good e/w prices and also done for the double. 16/1 for each seemed reasonable enough, and you never know. Long Run's record if you look closely, definately gives him another decent chance of taking the KG for the 3rd time, despite his apparent regression. Granted a clear round, he should once again be thereabouts come the line. His record right handed is pretty good. As for T43, his record at Chepstow alone warrants an e/w bet. Fingers crossed for both. ![]() |

I have a few plays in 'The Ladbroke' at the mo, although no firm idea of the overall winner yet. The weather/ground will probably dictate that.

Pine Creek is my main play tomorrow in the 3.35 at 20/1 ew first 5 for a place. Have also done Consigliere 16/1 in the 1.50 on account of his record at this trip on soft ground. Also may get involved with Houblon Des Ob and at Haydock She Ranks Me. Also now keeping my fingers crossed that Menorah runs in the KG. ![]() |

Shame about CC for the KG, but just a reminder......
Fastbearform 05 Sep 13 16:50 Joined: 03 Dec 04 | Topic/replies: 1,294 | Blogger: Fastbearform's blog Afters. As I've been feeling a bit 'miffed' with the flat this year, I thought it was a good a time as any to have a look at one or two jumps races for the coming season. My liking for one particular horse under specific circumstances is well documented on here, so although his participation in the King George is far from certain, I've decided to have some small bets on Menorah A/P this year, and am just hoping the owner/trainer see sense instead of running last years failure, Captain Chris.......we shall see. At least 33/1 available and bits at bigger on here. I've seen far far worse A/P bets over the years. Apart from his very obvious course form, he has also proved now that he gets the trip on tight tracks and will go on any ground, although on my figures the softer the better. I stand by everything I've written about the horse, so fingers crossed. ![]() Still worth another bet I think. |

Good evening.
Have had a look at a few races for tomorrow, there are a few obvious ones that I like but won't be backing. They include Sydney Paget up at Wetherby, Just A Par and My Tent Or Yours at Kempton. I've already backed Just A Par for the RSA in March, so am just hoping for a strong run tomorrow so that I can trade out on that. I am convinced that MTOY is better on a flat track and can beat The New One who I believe acts better on a stiff track. We shall see. I have already backed Menorah for the King George, so fingers crossed for that tomorrow. When I thought he wasn't running, I also had a bit on Long Run e/w at 16/1. The only bet I've added for tomorrow is Loose Chips in the 1.25 at Kempton with 9/1 still available for that. I'll be working tomorrow, so I'll probably watch the recordings when I get home. Fingers crossed for a decent pay day! ![]() |

the haydock form looked the best recent guide to the race, horse like menorah could strike any day at a big price.
silvaniaco conti always been promising type, wasnt a shock that he came on for that haydock run. doesnt look a stayer to me after completely stopping. gl happy new year. |

I've had a look at a couple for Saturday, one obvious, one not so at first glance. In the Lanzarote, the favourite JUNCTION FOURTEEN 11/2 looks fairly solid and is worth a bet at the price. However, the horse that has really caught my eye at the mo runs in the 3.15 and is I think, a much better bet than it may look at first glance and it is simple really. GOOD ORDER11/2 won last time out which is fair enough and his price reflects this, but looking closer at his record boosts confidence I think. His record right handed is very good and maybe even better on tight tracks. Right handed alone it reads: 1211 and I see no reason why he shouldn't run well again. His record left handed is much poorer, reading: 5572P25, so I think you can see where I'm coming from. ![]() |

If the racing is on at Ffos Las and Sandown, I have two I like. In the 2.05 at FL I'm on Whisper, and this one should win imvho. Best price 11/4 atm. In the 3.35 at Sandown, I'm going with Fruity O'Rooney again right handed and this one is 11/1 atm. That's it for now. Will look again tomorrow if the racing is off, which looks likely, although the AW isn't really inspiring. ![]() |

3.00 Newbury The obvious one in this is the favourite, Dodging Bullets. However, I am happy enough to take him on with Raya Star who is as close as likely to getting his best conditions, although not totally. 7/1 seems to be a good enough price in what is likely to be a 5 runner race. You may remember that I have had things to say about Raya Star in the past with regard to his hurdles form. In a nutshell, the horse does seem to favour flat galloping tracks, preferably left handed I think, although he has run well at Ascot before. But as tomorrows race is left handed, I shall concentrate on that. On flat LH galloping tracks His record in all such races is: 1113311 and for me, that is too good to ignore. Also, those 3rd's were behind seriously good horses. The question marks are obviously the ground, jockey and the possibility that he may not be as good over fences. Having said that, he has won his only race chasing on a LHGF track We shall see. 3.35 Newbury As always, a really tough race to sort out. I have a short list of half a dozen horses, any of which could win, but there are all kinds of reasons to keep or scratch all of them. I have decided to go with one that has a bit of good form and still likely to improve off a reasonable weight. Deep Trouble, I hope will run a decent enough race. He has been pretty consistent and I don't think the heavy ground will be a major issue. 20 or 25/1 seems to be a decent price for a horse that won a decent Listed Handicap back in December. Fingers crossed. ![]() |

A bit late, been having connection problems. Just the one for tomorrow. Newbury 3.15 Tiqris should win this and is still 9/4 from best prices of 5/2 and 3/1 earlier. Hopefully will provide some funds for ready for Cheltenham. ![]() |
