Good afternoon.
Have just done a couple for this afternoon, Kool Kompany over in France and Head Space at Redcar. Have had my share of winners and losers in my absence, and things have improved slightly in that respect. I am hoping Eagle Top will be supplemented for the King George and 10/1 still available for anyone wishing to take a risk. ![]() Have been spending most of my time on the world cup, catching up on my speed figures and posting over at Turnip Turns place. ![]() |

Just posted and nothing! Typical, that's part of the reason I haven't been on here lately! Effing useless forum!

![]() Am fed-up with this forum tbh, runs so slow and laggy. I spend most of my time on TT's place now with a lot of the other lads from here. Fingers crossed for a double! ![]() |

I think I have some good ones for tomorrow, but then again, I normally do. It's just that things don't always go according to plan.
I had Heavens Guest in the Bunbury a couple of weeks ago, recording a high speed figure in the process, so I've decided to stick with that one in the 3.15 at Ascot, and the rain there will have helped. 20/1 still generally available for that. In the 3.30 at York, my first choice is going to Newmarket instead, more about that in a minute. As for what's left, I still have a good one up my sleeve in the shape of Kimberella, who hasn't run since winning on quick ground at Chester last time. This one generally available at 10/1. The 3.50 Ascot I've already dealt with and a big run is expected from Eagle Top and the 10/1 is now looking quite nice with him now generally 9/2 and 5/1. My favourite bet of the day though runs in the 3.55 at Newmarket. I noted Eastern Impact when he last won there in a very fast time and as far as I am concerned he is my e/w bet of the day. Will love the fast ground, is a C and D winner, and this will cost me a chunk if he doesn't at least get placed. About time I landed an L15 as well! Fingers crossed for a good day. ![]() |
|

So, so close with Eastern Impact yesterday. Never mind, a couple of place returns, so ok.
I'm really keen on Milly's Gift today and backed that one earlier, Robot Boy a danger, but have had a bit on Peterkin as well. ![]() |

Good evening
Another place return yesterday, although Milly was a bit disappointing. I have two for the opening day of Goodwood, and as usual, I believe both have good chances, providing they both do what they are capable of. In the 2.30 Cotai Glory ran a cracking race behind Limato last time in what appears to be a pretty hot race. The drop back to 5f is a plus I think and is a bit of a price with Beacon being a very strong favourite. Is at least 7/2 right now, which brings me onto a very tricky race in the shape of the 5.20 A little while back I was very keen on the chances of Slip Sliding Away at this track back in June where he was just beaten by Doctor Parkes. Has run a clunker since, but now returns to this course which is very interesting. Although SSA has yet to win over 5f, his Goodwood form does look pretty good and reads as follows: 11291412 I think he can run a big race again and is available at a reasonable price, 14/1 best atm or 12/1 for a first 5 e/w. ![]() |

Wd on places recently FBF
![]() 1.55 ...the fanshawe one looks to hold a strong chance in this race....but one that was over 40-1 on BF and is lower now is Wigmore Hall. The going might give this one a chance of grabbing a place or better. GL today. |

Just two for tomorrow at Goodwood which I've already backed at 6/1 and 11/1.
I've had a few quid on Bow Creek in the 2.30 but unfortunately have missed the best prices. Still a bit longer than I thought it'd be though. 11/2 atm. I also think Heavy Metal is worth backing in the 'Mile'. An ok draw, will like the ground, and the fact that Bow Creek is running in the other race is a very strong hint in itself. Still 9/1, so worth doing. ![]() |
|
By:
Evening.
Another near-miss earlier with Heavy Metal getting mugged on the line. Ho hum. At least a place return. In the 2.05 tomorrow, I'm sticking with Slip Sliding Away, and hopefully will go a bit closer in this race over 6f. 20/1 ish atm. In the Stewards Cup at 3.50 I am going with Muthmir, albeit at a short enough price, 7/1 ish for that one atm. More to follow later, maybe. ![]() |
|
By:
Am also going to give Peterkin another chance at 6/1. Should go well again.
![]() |
|
By:
A story of mainly place returns lately, and just scraping a place double with SSA and Muthmir in the two big sprints.
I've had a small e/w bet on Silvanus in the 7.45 at Ripon tonight. If he goes as well as last time, should be in the mix towards the finish. ![]() |

Good evening
Have backed a couple for tomorrow, and will hopefully keep things on a positive note. Brighton 3.50 Echo Brava 8/1 ish Haddock 5.10 Precision Strike 8/1 ish ![]() |
|
By:
Thank you rr
It does seem that I haven't had a bad run lately and I shall do my best to stay on track. Midweek betting isn't something that I've been over involved with down the years, prefering to concentrate on the weekends and the 'big' meetings. Fingers crossed for future selections! ![]() I'm looking at an unfancied one for tomorrow, we shall see..... |

nice to see you again. ![]() I've got two main bets tomorrow that I hope will run well. Ascot 3.15 Snow Squall 11/1 ish Ran well up at Hamilton a couple of runs back but failed to follow up under a penalty over a longer trip nto. Can go well again dropping back to 12f and may find this track more suitable than Sandown. Ascot 3.50 Remember 7/1 ish I have this one noted after finishing second to Deeds Not Words recently, but feel that the selection will be more suited by conditions tomorrow. I may have another one or two later, but these will be my main plays tomorrow. Stay tuned...... ![]() |
|
By:
I've also added True Story up at Haydock in the 2.55. I've had so many excuses for this one, but I still feel he has a good race in him. Ran well enough last time and (here we go) probably wasn't suited by the stiff finish..........
This time surely must run well at a track that should suit, and imvho is a much better horse than any of the rest. 5/1 ish. In the 4.55 at Redcar, Head Space goes for the race he won last year and I would imagine this is his target. I noted him a couple of runs back and strongly believe he will go close in this tomorrow. 14/1 atm. ![]() |
|
By:
Some place returns on Saturday so no complaints.
Another of my notebook horses has popped up for tomorrow I and wouldn't want to miss it. Lingfield 6.35 Dissent Unfancied at around 10/1 and is worth a small stake I think. The last run wasn't up to scratch but hopefully a return to his best will see a better run tomorrow. ![]() |
|
By:
A nice ride there by the jockey. I wish they could all be like that!
I've taken 14/1ew Spinatrix for the Great St Wilfrid at Ripon on Saturday. Just can't ignore the price or the horses course form. I also have a lot of respect for Eastern Impact, but that one is also entered at Newmarket which would probably be a more suitable race. ![]() |
|
By:
Just the two for tomorrow, both at Newmarket.
3.15 Piceno 4/1 4.25 Outback Traveller 9/4 ![]() |
|
By:
Already have Spinatrix as a stand-alone ap bet for the GSW, and I have a DOR bet for that as well.
Newbury 2.40 Somewhat for me, has always needed to be stepped up in trip after his good run in the Eclipse and came 3rd again lto in a very fast time to Snow Sky at Goodwood. Is improving in leaps and bounds the further he goes and a big run is expected tomorrow. 7/1 will hopefully look way too big tomorrow. Newmarket 2.55 Eastern Impact is a horse I've been banging on about for weeks and he should run another solid race tomorrow. 6/1 best at the moment. Ripon 3.30 Another I like a great deal for this race is Kimberella and this one can bounce back to form tomorrow. The last run wasn't a true reflection of what this one can do and I expect a much better show tomorrow. Gregorian also appeals in the 3.50, but is plenty short enough. ![]() |
|
By:
^ 11/1 Kimberella
|
|
By:
I also think that Mime Dance can overcome a poor draw to run a good race at Chester in the 3.10
Generally 14/1, but is much bigger on here. Worth chancing at the price I think. ![]() |
|
By:
Just two at Pontefract tomorrow
2.45 Asteroidea 6/1 gen 3.15 Precision Strike 5/2 ![]() |
|
By:
A couple of plays today at Thirsk
3.45 Ellaal 9/1 gen 4.45 Gowanharry 7/2 best now, bigger earlier. ![]() |
|
By:
A couple backed so far for York on Wednesday.
Mukhadram in the Juddmonte at 6/1 and Snow Sky in the Great Voltigeur at 7/1 ![]() |
|
By:
As well as the other two tomorrow, I think I may have a 'quiet' unfancied one in the Nursery at 4.55 tomorrow. A bit more exposed than the others, Izzthatright ran a fast enough race last time and if running to his best, should at least be in the frame I think. Should be a decent double figure price with quite a few fancied ahead of this one.
In the Ebor on Saturday........DISASTER! I had had Clever Cookie pencilled in for some time and it's been put up in the media and the price is collapsing. I've taken 12/1 (was 14/1) and very soon will be single figures I think. There is another I also like for this but will wait for the final decs. ![]() |

Good evening
Kool Kompany and Tiggy Wiggy are both set to run tomorrow and no doubt both will run good races, but I think I've had my time with these two now and they are plenty short enough. In the TW race at 2.30, I have another horse I've noted that I have to back and at a price too. If TW is to get turned over tomorrow, this is the one to do it I think. Sulaalaat is available at 11/1 right now, which is big. Should go well. In the next race at 3.05, Kosika can put the last run behind her and I think this race and track will suit better. 16/1 is good enough and she has run fast enough to go well in this race. ![]() |
|
By:
Eves,
Well, not the best of weeks for me, and I suppose that reasonable run had to end some time. Hopefully can get back on track in the 4.55 with Extremity at odds of 6/1. We shall see........ ![]() |

Good evening
Already have one in the Ebor and will leave it at that for now. Possible rain forecast before the race, which would be good for CC Two more so far, elsewhere. Goodwood 2.55 Intransigent 11/1 York 5.00 Lyn Valley 14/1 best 12/1 gen ![]() |
