Yes this thread was no doubt removed by accident, last night hejik did what manxy said, strangely, when I posted he had been banned on the sado thread, that comment along with two subsequent post were also quickly removed

I wonder what moves people to do such idiotic things? Attention seeking perhaps? Being badly ignored in childhood? Who knows?

Good evening.
No Cheltenham now, which is a shame, but that just means I've had to look elsewhere. The meeting at Musselburgh is televised and that's where my selections are tomorrow. Going with the obvious isn't always a bad thing and I'm hopeful of a good start to the new year with two horses that seem to have plenty in their favour. Fingers crossed.*:D big grin 1.05 Swift Arrow 5/2 generally. 1.40 Imperial Vic 4/1 generally. Happy New Year ![]() |

Happy and healthy New Year FBF.....as well as your selections being successful
![]() Can see why you have SWIFT ARROW as selection in 1.05.....on going appears to hold a strong chance of winning. The main danger is Lets Get Serious which appears to be "lightly raced" but has had wins. Possibly a lay on BLENHEIM BROOK is the selection in this race, as Miss V W's horse also can do well on going. ================================================================== 1.40 Looks a very open race. With Imperial Vic having won its last 2 races....I can see why you opt for this one. If going was HEAVY , then probably would increase this one's chances. Ellison has a low weight horse in race, PA,.....and may well be set up for this race today! Monetary Fund may well win though, as relatively "lightly raced" and should be race fit.......the USA bred kinda puts me off it a bit though.....however with sire MONTJEU this should enable it to be close to winning. RYTON RUNNER is the other threat on the going....... So as you can see......I'm finding your race selections tough to opt for a single selection .......So no improvement for me THIS YEAR.....so far![]() !!!If really pushed to opt for single bet....would go for :- 1.05 LET'S GET SERIOUS and ....with small SFC on your selection to beat it! 1.40 RYTON RUNNER EW ...........with small SFC on your selection to beat it! Wishing your thread well in 2013. |

Good evening
Have got a couple for tomorrow, one a bit short the other with good ew claims. In the 1.50 at Sandown, Williams Wishes is a strong bet at 6/4 and was a bit longer earlier. I thought this would be odds on and won't be surprised if it is at the off. As far as I am concerned speed figure wise, it only has to jump around to win if running to his best, and I would be surprised if anything is near it at the line. In the 3.40 at the same venue, I've always believed that Fruity O'Rooney is better going right handed and his record under these circunstances reads 1211621, also on heavy ground is 121222, so must have reasonable ew claims at odds of 10/1, hopefully a good run to come. ![]() |

fastbear are you still tinkering with the clive holt formula?

sometimes use it as a 'place to start' along with my speed figures. There's no substitute for a bit of digging though.

That looked a winner before it started the race williams wish,
some swagger that had, I learnt alot from pricewise, thought monbeg dude had the right credentials. Forecast went begging. Another winner again wd. Synymor thats what I call a bad ride. Remembered rauacana, tipped that once on the flat, undern Knows that one, it got lucky. Do you think flemenstar stays 3miles. |
|
By:
Morning rr,
Personally, I don't think Flemenstar is a Gold Cup horse and would be beaten before turning for home at Cheltenham. Even 3 miles is looking iffy now although maybe on a quicker surface might just do it. However, I think the horse will always prove most effective up to around 22f, so if I was the owner/trainer and wanted to go for a Cheltenham race, it would have to be the Ryanair. The 2 mile division is simply too strong over here at the moment, and tbh, even if Flem' handles Cheltenham ok, on my figures, the horse would be lucky to even place. Best chance of a prize imvho would have to be the Ryanair. Was an ok day on Saturday and despite that small error WW did what I'd hoped. I thought FO'R ran a cracking race and showed real determination to finish in 3rd, landing the place money. However, despite my analysis and opinion that the horse prefers to go right handed, I'm not so sure that the horse likes Sandown (6,3), and it could well be that he would prefer a track that doesn't have a stiff finish. Races at Kempton or Ascot would be where I would be looking and the Racing Post Chase would have to be an obvious target, and to my mind the trainer was foolish not to run the horse in that last year, but hey ho, what do I know? All I can do is look at what a horse has done, and I think his record speaks for itself. Oh, and before anyone asks about the figure of 8 track, I've always counted that as right handed on the chase course as the last full turn before the finish is right handed. ![]() |

I disagree about flemenstar, should be trained for the gold cup and Kg.

Tipped smileswithhiseyes on another website 5/1 on betfair

You asked for my opinion about Flemenstar, which I gave. I can't believe for a second that he will get the Gold Cup trip at Cheltenham. Reminds me a bit of One Man who always failed to get home beyond 3 miles at Chelts.

Afters,
Betfair Hurdle I promised myself I wouldn't get involved too much this year with ap bets (apart from Chelts), but couldn't resist a little bit in this. I've thought for sometime now that I would like to back Claret Cloak in this race and as things seem to be slowly drying out, I thought I would have a couple of quid ew. 16/1 generally at the mo and a bit more on betfair. The horse is still rated nicely on 136, only 3lbs higher than that excellent 2 lengths 3rd to Raya Star, now rated 10lbs higher on 159 after that good effort behind Darlan over Christmas. CC will need a few to come out but I would imagine that won't be a problem. ![]() |

backed baby dottie today that was second to monumental man, won by 6 lengths, even better it was the last
leg of a 4 timer, put those tips on another website, only 3 of the winners of my 4 timer. what do you think of cantlow? he beat Oscar dara.goodluck |

Good evening.
As if the weather hasn't caused enough problems, for two days now I've been suffering what appears to be a major virus attack on my computer, which still doesn't seem to be sorted. So far I've detected 4 different attacks, but I'm certain there are more. It's getting very tedious now. Anyway, two for tomorrow on the AW and hopefully a couple of good runs to come. Kempton 2.20 Toga Tiger 5/1 gen 6/1 in a place bog. Ling 3.10 Loyalty 8/1 gen 9/1 in a place bog. ![]() |

Good evening.
Not too bad over the last few weeks with a few nice results coming in. Would be nice to get another decent double in at some stage though, that always used to be the icing on my cakes! ![]() Just the two tomorrow at Cheltenham, all being well. 1.50 Sanctuaire 6/1 generally bog 7/1 in a place. 3.00 At Fishers Cross 11/2 generally. bog ![]() |

Good evening.
Hopefully I can keep the good run going tomorrow, however, the two I have chosen aren't on mainstream telly, but I really didn't fancy any of those. Ffos Las 3.45 The Bear Trap 3/1 bog Wetherby 3.55 Dunowen Point 7/2 bog Can't see that 7/2 lasting long, a good bet I think for DP, thought it would be much shorter. ![]() |

Afters.
Am still hopeful the ground will dry out enough for Claret Cloak to take his chance on Saturday and I still believe the odds on offer at the mo (16/1 generally) will look very nice on the day. I am also sure the nature of this race will suit the horse more than that excellent run behind Raya Star earlier in the season. I will be a bit disappointed if he isn't at least thereabouts after jumping the last. Rock On Ruby 'should' win today, but in what could be a slow run race, I won't be playing, just watching. DF, I popped over to the CF, ![]() |

Good evening.
Newbury I've been banging on about Claret Cloak in the Betfair Hurdle for some time now, so nothing more to say other than I just hope the ground will be ok tomorrow. Silviniaco Conti 'should' win tomorrow, en route to the Gold Cup. I can't believe that Philip Hobbs has decided to run Menorah in this race, unless it's a prep for the Racing Plus Chase. Hopefully that's the case, because I can't see him winning here or at Cheltenham. At Warwick I've decided to take a shrewd chance with one that owes me and is 'obviously' out of form. In the 2.05, Hey Big Spender returns to the scene of previous wins and hopefully will run a good race again. I've written before about the circumstances this horse likes, so hopefully a good run to come. At least 10/1 available at the mo, and that is way too big if returning to form. ![]() |
