Fakenham 3.50.
Sprosser 1pt win. Not playing myself, but this could be worth a small bet today. This horse runs well here and could go close. Generally available at 6/1. ;) |
By:
Have changed my mind. 1pt win at 6/1. :0
|
By:
2.50 Pop. No Panic
4.10 Petrovsky 3.10 Itsher Methodical looks a big price in your race Fastbear ? Good Luck with yours though. |
By:
28's on here does look tempting, but the lack of course form is off putting, otherwise I may have had a small one.
|

Poor Day, just the one winner and odds on at that.

Fastbearfromsystem update, well past the 200 selection mark. A couple of decent priced winners since the last update have helped take the win bank back up to £2980 and the place bank up slightly at £2460. The totals now stand at Wins 62/211 around the 30% mark, Placed around the 60% mark 132/211. When you take the odds on shots out of the equation then the win strike rate drops to around 27%. Still its a system at the end of the day !! Dont think that the bank will see the high of £5,300 again, but you never know. The enhanced betfair prices have done us proud, at SP the win bank total would be less than half what it is now, ta betfair !!
Might have a go at filtering the selections into two groups from tomorrow, see if we can get the strike rate up a bit. |
By:
No luck for mine today but at least I only did 1pt.
|
By:
Not much confidence today but, 1.50 Amir al Jabal - would be nice to see this one 9/2 or less, 2.30 Diamond Surprise, 2.10 Desert Strike, 4.4. Scutch Mill/Jo Jo, 4.10.
Have a good un folks. |
By:
Wetern is interesting now money is coming in, should it go fav would be very interesting, Moore doesnt often leave his money behind., also My sweet georgia if the money takes it to fav, and murrin also.
You playing on anything today Fastbear ? |
By:
Massive drift on western but money for petroglyph, shorter here than in the bookies for a brief two minutes !!
|
By:
Not today for me. Am busy with work and am studying races for Saturday. :)
|
By:
Some decent racing at the weekend, looking forward to it, beats this low grade rubbish that we have today !!
|
By:
Amir El Jabal at a nice 9.6 and 4.6 for the place !
|
By:
Well done Magpie.
I may have one at Newcastle tomorrow. You know what it's like. There I was just having a browse and one caught my eye. So, it's looking like another 1pt offload tomorrow! :D |
By:
fecking Spencer !! Desert Strike at 2,26, dh, but 1.49 for the place.
Look forward to Newcastle Fastbear. |
By:
Following you no more Mr Mag, bloody lost out on a dh

Just a quick update on my own personal betting activities so far this year.
As I said earlier, I am trying to cut down a bit and concentrate on quality (I hope). From 1st Jan Outlays including any place money: 13pts Back in at prices taken, not sp: 49.4 pts. Of course I have Stan to thank for nearly all that! Let's hope I can find more like that again soon! But to be realistic, at the prices I like to play at, if I end up achieving around a 20% strike rate by the end of the year, I think I will have done well. As for the doubles, if I end up landing another 1 or2 by the end of 2009, I would consider that an achievement. :) |
By:
Jinxy, to be fair, you must know it is very, very difficult to keep churning out big priced winners. I EXPECT to have at some stage, a long losing run, it may already even have started! No one can keep picking winner after winner, otherwise we would all be rolling in ££££££'s.
|
By:
A somewhat good day :)
Amir El Jabal wins at 9.6 and placed at 4.6 :) Desert Strike, deadheat, 2.28 and placed at 1.5 Diamond Surprise second (our other, My sweet georgia, won) placed at 2.1 Scutch Mill, unplaced Jo Jo Star, placed at 1.38 Of the others that had to be backed to fav, Weststern was a big drifter but, My Sweet Georgia wins at 4.8 and placed at 2 Murrin wins at 4.1 and placed at 1.8 Would have settled for those results at the start of play. |

My selection for tomorrow at Newcastle runs in the 1.00 o'clock.
Unfortunately from a betting perspective it is currently trading short of my minimum price stipulation. It seems that I'm not the only one to think this horse has a good chance tomorrow. :( |
By:
1.55**ney Trucker.
1.20 Planet of Sound 8.20 Scarab 1.30 On Raglan Road 2.40 Quaddick Lake, only if in first two in betting. 3.35 Fit to Drive Second Group. 1250 Art Exhibition 12.40 Rebel City Have a good un. |
By:
My selection today was going to be Bold Ransom. Like I said last night though, the price was always looking on the skinny side, so I'm not over concerned it didn't run today. :|
|
By:
Abondonments drive me nuts !!
So far first group, the group that matters, 1 winner at 2.69, 2 losers 2 placed at 1.27 and 3.4, one unplaced One to come. |
By:
On the ante-post front, I've decided to have a 1.5pt win and 0.5pt place on Numide for the Goatsport Hurdle at Newbury.
Not a very original selection I know. But, my feeling is that the winner could well come from that race the other week at Ascot. I think he would have gone alot closer but for blundering the last and with what should be much softer ground at Newbury and a more 'spacious' run in, he surely has to go very close imo. ;) |
By:
One to come was Scarab, wins at 2.9 and 1.55, making two from four and three frm four for the places.
Morning Fastbear. |
By:
Morning.
I have my shortlist drawn up for Saturday and am just waiting for the decs. One very strong I think. We'll see. |
By:
6.50 Sendrini
1.20 Moves Goodenough 1.00 The Geester 1.30 Moon Cristal Group2. Decider if fav Khyber Kim, system selection but I have a fancy for The Package !! |
By:
Numide is a better price at the bookies than it is on betfair Fasbear!! doesnt happen very often !!
|
By:
12's for me with 3.65 :)
|
By:
:)
|
By:
Think I've got one for Chepstow. Once again though, I'm a bit miffed with the price! X-(
|
By:
Now looking like I might have a bet at Chepstow. The horse is meeting minimum requirements pricewise, and hopefully early in the morning someone might price it up with a bit of a bonus. Fingers crossed! B-)
|
By:
In the 3.10 at Chepstow, I've gone with What A Scientist.
The heavy ground will suit this one and I hope to get a good run at a generally available 12/1. The one that I do think could be a big danger to the selection is Notabotheronme. :) |
By:
Good Luck with that one Fastbear. Not a great day yesterday, one non runner leaving just three, no winners but two placed at 19. and 1.42.
|
By:
2.35 Hills of Arran
1.50 Don Pele 8.20 Count Ceprano 4.05 Alberts Story. 7.20 Teasing/Radama Bay Place hopes at best for these I think !!! Good luck. |
By:
Lingfield
3.30 Nikki Bea / Upstairs 4.05 Tabulate / Broughtons Flight Chepstow 3.45 Aheadofhistime / Guns of love. Jon |
By:
Another point lost today, then. No worries though, hopefully got a couple of gooduns tomorrow and maybe even a couple more. The racing's always so much better on Saturdays and it makes life a lot easier imo. B-)
|
By:
So far, Ascot 1.05 Group Captain 2 pts Win.
If my analysis of the Ladbroke holds up, then this one should run a big race. The step up in trip, is I believe, a big positive. :) |
By:
Good Luck with Group Captain Fastbear !!
Yesterday, just the one in the first group, unplaced, the others in the second group as stated would struggle to get a place but half of them did !!, fortunately none of them won, so far all those placed in the 'discard group' have failed to win, which is how I hoped it would be. |
