Sorry guys - I was a complete to55er today.
Got up far too late after a heavy night on the tiles - which I seldom do....and made a huge** up with the selections. I know it sounds like aftertiming but I really did screw up today - I drew up my short list as per usual and because my head was up my ar5e (hangover from hell) posted that instead of my final selection list!! 4.10 Brenin Taran was was supposed to be excluded as only had 4 runs ( I only lay if selection has had 5 runs) 4.50 Mighty Moon was was supposed to be excluded as I rated it Joint best on speed. 6.50 Red Jade was was supposed to be excluded as only had 2 runs. Luckily it was a NR. I havent had 3 winners/losers in a day for at least 5 weeks so u know its not common. Anyway I do apologise if anyone layed those bloody winners. obviously I`m going to include them in the figs so I can look back on this as a very costly lesson! I`ll recoup all losses and more next week so not to worry. I`m just really frustrated as it should have been another nice profitable day. Also the reason I didnt realise is that I just layed all selections and crashed out - not even watching the racing. Update to follow Steve |

Place Lays don't always tie up with the Win Lays, for example this month, if you had to layed all horses between 3 and 11 BSP, your profit before comm would have been 44 points, the corresponding place lay would show a loss of -6 points.

What a bummer....If I had posted correct list through yesterday, would only have layed 1 loser which was Staying On in the 6.15 resulting in a net profit of £168.21 not a net LOSS of £256.86!! That`ll teach me to go to work with a hangover!

Hi everyone.....another couple of winners managing to get up!!
As you know....well, I posted a reply yesterday re NRs. I have in the past withdrawn any selections if I feel any significant horses have been pulled out or if I think there are just not enough runners to merit laying against the few runners left in the race. Sods law today in the 3.50 today Freeline Fury and Wizards Dust were both NRs. I had rated these 2 and top 2 in the market above Pertinent - but after the 2 NR were announced I thought to myself about pulling Pertinent but I remembered the decision I had made yesterday to leave all lays on once matched! Alright Supersavo - yes mate.
I am going to continue to post. I know what its like - no-one posts when you`re doing ok but as soon as you have a bad day they come out from under their rocks to have a go. I`m pretty confident that I can make it work over the long term - but laying is a funny old game and a weeks/2 weeks profit can be wiped out in a very bad day. I`m prepared for a very bad day every day so it won`t be a shock to me ;-) Expect the worst and hope for the best :-) ;-) Steve |

Good luck with this 1977-hope you continue to post these-Maria had her ups and downs for the first couple of months when she started-but she stuck at it and it came good-it should come good for you as well as long as you can keep your strike rate above 85% as Maria did.
