Arrgh!!!

The recent dip in results co-incided with my increasing stakes and implementing a loss recovery staking of sorts. Been an expensive journey! :-(

However you pays your money and you take your chances.

Am gonna stick with it as Steves results from earlier are proof positive that he (and hopefully some of the rest of us) can make a profit. Form is temporary and class is permanent. ;-)

As has been said again and again laying is a long-term project. Hopefully no more winners today and a clean sheet tomorrow.

Bad day PP just worked out odds of all them winning 4771/1 you couldn't make it up. Still onwards and upwards.

PP is on well over 10,000 so he is in better shape than Maria was.

What a day.....again! The knockers don't worry me, I'd like to see them try to hit 45% winners @ those prices ;-)

Well according to my figures that was a 2194/1 shot so we shouldn't be getting one of those again for a while.

Also re Maria's comments, she actually had a losing month and another month where she won by the skin of her teeth!

A bit gutted but I'm not quitting - I think this is the time when a lot of people give up and look for new strategies but I think this is the best time to get stuck in :0 the game will turn and we will recoup all losses with a cherry on top :-)

Taking on ADDIKT. A winner last year but against a field rated sub-70 and running on unfamiliar ground. A favourable draw coupled with a strong run at York has the horse hovering around 11/2 but I have doubts that hell find his footing and pace on todays ground. Eight of the nine horses that finished in the top ten at York in June have raced since, some on similar ground, and none have made it to the line first, most outside the frame.

Danehillsundance recently raced over 10F earning a place and beating out five horses rated higher. Also, form does not reflect the quality of some of the earlier runs this season. Hels Angels win at Doncaster might have been against a weaker field than today but the horse did make the race its own and set a steady pace from the off. A repeat on that strategy might be in the cards and less weight could counter the competitiveness of the field.

Looking long for support Sarwin catches the eye. The U.S. horse should find the conditions today, even with a turn in the weather, suitable to get back into form after a disappointing run last time out. Extreme swings in conditions or key runners out would be the only factor that would make me pull back on the risk.

Predicting Addikt to go cold turkey at Beverley today. Good luck on your selections.

It rather depends mate - depends on which way the price is going.

I lay some early doors and some I lay right at the off. Others I keep checking all day to monitor the price.

Dont you worry!! The DOUBLE POSITIVE variance is long overdue now. Bad bad run but what can you do.....Happens to the best of them.
