Re Roger Oasis who only lays £2 on each horse. Isn't it impossible to make a profit that way unless every tip on the day wins?
Because my bank is pathetically small I lay to lose the same ammount on each horse ie £15 or £20. I'm not sure if you can make a profit like this either. Can anyone assist? Numerically challenged. |

STARTING BANK OF 100 EURO'S - DO ONE BANKER BET WEEKLY - BACK MINIMUM ODDS OF 1.20 (1/5) OR LAY MAXIMUM ODDS OF 21.00 (20/1) - NO MORE THAN A MAXIMUM OF 52 BETS OVER A YEAR, AVERAGING 1 BET A WEEK - ALL-IN WITH THE FULL BANK EACH TIME - AT THE END OF THE YEAR YOU SHALL HAVE NO LESS THAN 150,000 EURO'S IN YOUR BANK.
ANY SPORT CAN BE USED - FOOTBALL , BASEBALL , BASKETBALL , TENNIS , HORSE-RACING , ETC , ETC , ETC ETC. |

montydog - here's the realistic answer to your question!
The no. of lays put up is around 613 and the level stakes profit at industry SP is about 175pts. At 5% commission you are losing 27pts in commission on the 540 or so successful lays. The average losing decimal odds is 6.6 (at industry SP). Adding an extra 0.4 to make the average odds 7.0 at betfair SP to factor in the differential between industry and betfair SP and you are left with around 60pts net profit. If the average no. of selections is 6 per day and the average 0.5% of backers stake is used, the expectation based on the above is a growth of 0.3% bank growth per day. Compounding that up on a daily basis would yield around a 100% bank growth over the course of the year. So you would double your bank. Simples! |

thank you
|
|
By:
Apologies made a calculation error.
Its 120pts profit not 60pts from the 613 bets so far factoring in commission and +0.4pts for BSP. So your daily bank growth is around 0.6% which would yield 800% profit on your bank over a year. |

Look just refrain from posting if all you wish to do is have a dig because of a losing day.
Anyone who follows day in day out knows that laying is a long term investment - not a get rich quick scheme! Strange how there are no posts when things go well but a hell of a lot as soon as there is a losing day. Anyway, we all know that things turn around so no worries! Todays lays to follow. Steve |

Profit/Loss: £982.66 maybe I'm wrong but it looks like you've written it down as a profit and I suspect you lost that day It's pretty obvious it's a loss. 3 losing lays from six is never going to be a winning day is it. Steve |

Hi Midas
Yes I am mate. As u know I was away for the weekend, got pretty despondent re all the cr8p on the thread. Anyway I'm going to be posting everyday again now and also going to do my bets to update every night as I know it gets a bit messy otherwise. Cheers Midas Steve |
