A stonking 'lay' to me. I believe Arsenal will not win, and plenty of opportunities to trade for gains.

Certainly short and looking at fixtures, Arsenal away at Liverpool, City, Villa and Spurs before end of September. There must be some trading opportunity there. It would be a total cave by the PL if City not hit with points deductions. I'm not convinced, Villa, Chelsea, Spurs, Man Utd, Newcastle will improve enough to trouble Arsenal next season thou, which leaves Liverpool who might well regress without Klopp.

Arsenal need to get over not winning last season.
Should be easy enough as they did nothing wrong, but, , sometimes these things leave a mark. Looking forward to seeing liv, ars, and citeh going for it again. Proppa footie back soon! |

Yes, it's because of Man City's looming charges. You only have to look at their relegation price to see that.
I don't see how anyone else can get up to the level of Arsenal and City next season and I don't see them dropping much in level either. |

Does seem short but someone has to win it.
Next 6 weeks and we might have an idea. Transfer talk does seem to be cheap atm. A central midfielder, a central defender and a World class forward ( not nesser celery a centre forward ) would be highly exciting add Gykores and I would insist on being drug tested. |

Big squiggle over Liverpool given the changes. Other teams seem miles away, though Chelsea could have been expected to progress under Pocch. Is the 2/1 effectively a Finish Top 2, if you're confident City will get a points deduction?

Name two teams that will compete with Arsenal ? If you can't, then 2/1 is a value back. City to win for a 5th consecutive time would be truly historic. Only Liverpool got close to the top 2 last season, and who knows how they will perform with the new manager. Back to lay Arsenal for me.

I'd say the odds are about right. Who else will push them? It looks like just City again, and with everything going on legally etc., I Don't think a 5th title is guaranteed. A few teams with potential, but we KNOW Arsenal will be pushing 85-92 points.

City @ 2.54 does seem big. Especially as even if they are found guilty of FPL the PL has said it unlikely any sanctions would be imposed until the summer of 2025. And this if there is no appeal.

seems a skinny price, they tried their hardest last year and came up short, stronger challengers this year. I'd lay them win and top 2 if I was happy to tie up funds for 9 months.

They do need a forward. I would trade the need for a goal scorer for Nico Williams if it was possible. 2-1 might not be such a bad bet imho. Citeh usually start slowly. Arsenal are looking solid and gaining depth at the back. One more piece in the jigsaw. Not really sure the talk of Gykores or Osimen is real. Maybe they are trying to flush someone else out. |
