Haalad did them a favour, scoring when he did, waking them up, otherwise they would have carried on trying to get to the winning line by defending the whole time and would have conceded an equalizer in the 89th minute.

yes should have pummeled City from the first minute, open ourselves up against the best passing team in the league, only have to see Arteta's recent results against Pep to know that is not the way.

That's the wrong attitude, you're viewing City as they were, not as they are, the whole world can see that they are shot to bits in the middle of the park, that's why practically every side they play have numerous counter attacks on them every game......we've seen it from Arsenal in the last 20...after the equalizer when they were woken up.

We've just battered them 5-1, I think Arteta knows what he's doing, recent results suggest he has the gameplan correct.

Carragher and Haaland telling it how it is...."as soon as the game quickens up and gets intense,City can't cope"..........therefore, sitting behind the ball and letting City have it and playing at their pace was not the way to go......impressive scoreline flattered Arsenal really because it was Haaland's goal that shifted how they were playing....should have been making this an end to end tear up from the word go.

They didn't sit on a 2-1 lead because the whole dynamic of the game changed as soon as Haaland equalized, Arsenal had to come out and go onto the front foot and as soon as they did City were exposed and noticeably fell apart and that's why Arsenal then had numerous counters with big spaces everywhere.
If Arsenal had decided to make it a stamina test (if you like) from the word go and been brave enough to do it, yes City would have had their moments but ultimately they would get worn down far far earlier than Arsenal. Anyway, I'm not an Arsenal fan but very much hope that you lot win the league....so good luck |

Losing at home to a London team is crazy. The team needs a proper striker - one who can score goals on a regular basis eg Salah or Haaland. Arsenal has just cost me a 4-timer, but won £1 with 'sly' for a 3-team winner.

There has been a nasty covid/flu bug up here
that we may have brought back from London. Dad and my sister have been borderline hospital but getting better, I had 3 or 4 days of feeling pretty chitty... Whatever it is I hope he gets rid of it soon and gets back to A1 health pdq |

This is so typical of Arsenal. A stonking game against Real then this drop points at home. A drubbing at Real on wednesday? Or players saving themselves for the clash with Real? Exit both competitions by the end of next week, I predict.
