I’d happily be on the receiving end of Haaland’s performance today. Had that penalty gone in he’d have probably scored 13 points today, doubled for the vast majority of people. Four points is a let off for us mugs who don’t have him?
By:
Didn’t know he’d missed a pen. Expensive to FF captainers then.

Bish Bosher 18 points clear at the top of the league. A cracking week.
By:
Well done bosher.
By:
He's in the top 30,000 in the whole world, anyway we can all profit from his success, when he's won the whole thing we can all bask in the reflected glory, I'll be happy to do a few interviews for the FPL shows.
"Yes Bish Bosher has been a highly valued member of the Betfair Footy Forum and I can even remember old Bish Bosher when he was a mere whipper snapper, back then I always thought he showed a lot of promise" They'll probably want to go back and talk to his old PE teacher and all of that ![]() Yes, I hope he's got his PR team all sorted, it won't be long before he won't even be able to walk down the street without being chased by starstruck FF players chucking their Y fronts at him ![]() |

![]() Well done Bosher, ot me on the back foot now. |

18 points clear. 3 of his four boosts still available. Got to be the early favourite. Not sure what a fair price would be? 5/2 maybe? Think I’d probably be a layer at that price. Would be tough to be top now and at the end of the season.
By:
Good time to be picking up the baton and going on. Has to be triple joint favourite at least. Prudent use of his chips a must in the run up to New Year.
I’m on a run too. Just nine off 22nd spot now, and eighty off of 16th! ![]() |

I'd want 8/1 the field at the moment.

Goddess has just been cut to 13/2!!

Well done Dayveea, I see his Bench Boost out scored his entire team this week... Very well played!

Far easier to win from front than behind, as everyone is buying players
the leaders already have. Take a risk to win a league, and easy to plummet I would be 12th place. |
By:
8/1 says it’s all to play for. I think if you’re a hundred behind after the Xmas schedule then that’s the cut off mark for winning it. A touch of luck from there on in and some nicely executed boosts and the ground could be made up.
As YHTL says, some will be gambling to gain ground while the leaders don’t really have to. |
By:
It's a marathon, players go in and out of form, if you can consstently nick a few points week on week you can catch up, absolutely no need to panic yet, if you're within 150 points you can win IMO.
I was 2nd bottom and 150+ points off the leaders and had to wait until week 3 for my first goal, 5 green arrows later I was less than 50 behind, took a step back this week but still well close enough. We're still on the first crcuit in the national and the place to be is nicely positioned hunting up the leaders. ![]() The majority of the playerss are plenty close enough and can still win our league, hopefully everyone will remain enthused and keep playing. ![]() |
By:
It was good last year but I think this year it is better still primarily due to the banter on this thread, it adds to the fun and long may it continue
![]() |
By:
I was 100 behind with 6 weeks to go in mini league last year that I won
Everybody has 4 chips 2nd half of year this season, and there are usually a fair few double game weeks late on, so managing them chips to max out double game weeks can easily see 100+ point swings over a few weeks. |
By:
Who’d have known this thread would still be going when Nobby started it. It’s good to hear everyone’s opinions.
As an aside, has anyone viewed the team for the top score this week? I think it’s their first week participating and they had Obi for United as their triple captain. When he didn’t play it went on to Martinez in goal who scored him 42 points. Some of those who do huge transfers each week just to get that one big score can do well. |
By:
Yeah, there's always someone who's clicked with an unusual pick, remember when Dango Outtara got a hat trick last season for Bournemouth and some bloke had him triple captain, he was a mini celeb for that week on the tele getting a shirt off the player.

He is another of the thousands that enter 1 week teams each week , there are weekly prizes , however no teams registered the same week or teams that play chips can win , so none of these thousands can win a prize
By:
I can understand teams registered that week maybe not being able to win, but anyone using a boost should. That’s part of the tactics.
By:
Where are there weekly prizes?
By:
On here duffy. Manager of the week for a small prize package.
It is a marvellous thread. We all put our views forward, and, however stupid some of them become, and reveal themselves to be, there is no whiplash effect. We all encourage each other and it’s terrific. LMIC. New phrase ( Long May It Continue ). Is this really a fetbair forum? ![]() Well done all and nil desperandum. ![]() |

By:
The manager of the week gets a Puma Training Top or Hoodie Puma Football Official Premier League Club Replica Shirt EA SPORTS FC™ game Official FPL Certificate FPL bundle consisting of a T-shirt, mug, thermal bottle, stress ball, pen, pad and key ring
Not amazing but it looks like thousands are trying to win it , but they are ineligible |
By:
And incapable.

By:
So the bloke who won this week took a -48 making 17 transfers and that was allowed but someone else with more points couldn't win because he'd used a chip!!
By:
It’s ridiculous, ain’t it?
Whatever transfers they make should really be deducted from their weekly score. So if scored 103, then 48 points should come off. Meaning he actually scored 55 that game week. I can understand why people do it. They’re giving themselves 38 attempts at winning team of the week and a below par prize? |
By:
MrStrawMan. Theoretically then can they win in the second and each subsequent week, if pure luck prevails?
Not that I wish to try myself, just interested. |
By:
You can win a weekly prize if you don't use a chip, we're all in it.
By:
Roll on the weekend, Gabriel providing a bit of a headache for players.
By:
I was too impatient to wait until after international duty to do my transfers. Having just looked at my team, I’ve got four players who are doubtful. They’re fairly popular so I imagine quite a few are in the same boat.

Week 9 hit update - (had taken a minus 8):
7/11/25 (Week 10, had clawed some points back after a poor week 9) "So I'm now net -9 on the hit with 2 weeks to go". Week 11 was better sill: Foden to Saka 3 v 12 = + 9 Gakpo to Enzo 1 v 3 = + 2 Konsa to Chalobah 6 v = 0 So now + 2 up on the hit with 1 week to go ![]() |

3 yellow flags for this week:
Gabriel Enzo Semenyo It's a wait and see situation, no transfer until Friday at the earliest. |
By:
Done that in the past too kenbo. Very frustrating. Cheers Goddess.
By:
I know it’s silly making transfers so early but it was a risk I was willing to take. They’ll all probably play anyway.
By:
I'll probably be getting rid of Semenyo, was contemplating it before the injury anyhow.
By:
I think he’s worth sticking with. They’ll big fish in small ponds do well.

By:
Lots of popular players coming back with knocks.
Press conferences should be informative |
