Disney+ Welcome To Wrexham / Mr Inbetween (Dark Comedy) and whole host of others (if subscribed)

Netflix started the short film The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar today (41 mins)

Jcm mentioned Mr Inbetween on Politics so I thought I'd give it a go. 3 series, 26 x 25min episode. Starts a bit slow but picks up well; amusing watch too.

Hope you feel better soon Dragon

The Bear (series) is very good. The new Justified is also good if you liked the original.

You might have to pay unless you have alternative means (Cool) but I'd imagine the Barbie movie is the perfect silly fun movie for when you're laid up. Helped me when I had a bout of insomnia a week or so ago.

Is that a recommendation for the film or insomnia PoP? Grin

The insomnia's ace. Bit of peace and quiet. Just the next day that's the killer.

As for a film...The Machinist.  Christian Bale holds the world record for weight loss in order to play a character in a film. Worth a watch....Happy

binge watched Succession recently, after a lot of hype when it ended earlier this year. Took me a while to get into, I think I was expecting something a bit different but it's good. That then led me to Billions, which I actually think is better but this is very subjective, depends what you like really.

I watched No Hard Feelings the other day, amused me slightly. Not a Jennifer Lawrence fan tbh. after seeing her naked, I'm even less of a fan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P15S6ND8kbQ&ab_channel=SonyPicturesEntertainment

I sat through Barbie (almost)... Imagine a terrible movie on steroids! Awful Awful! AWFUL!!... Grin Gotta say I didn't enjoy this movie.. Sad

Would love to see something recommended on here worth watching... Please.

The HBO/Sky Atlantic mini-series 'Chernobyl' is brilliantly made and rightly won numerous awards.

Hope you're back on top form very soon T.D.

Two series that I can heartily recommend are "The Curse" ( Channel 4) & "The White Lotus." ( Sky Atlantic.)

For a film, on Amazon Prime, " Triangle Of Sadness " is a goodun.

I've never watched any new stuff

But Lost (US series from the mid 2000s)

And I only watched it recently thinking it was rubbish but The Sopranos, absolutely fantastic in my opinion, dunno why I refused to watch it previously

Utterly despised Knock at the Cabin. Read the book earlier this year which is really good. But Shyamalan just took an axe to it. Completely mangled the plot and made it a cuddly wuddly hollywood film instead. Christ it made me angry.

Banshee is the best  I’ve watched recently. Also watched and enjoyed Warriors and Justified. Warrior is actually written by the bloke who wrote Banshee, hence the pub name as a little nod to it.

Agree with Son regarding The Prestige. The best Nolan film imo.

Watched the new Ricky Hatton film on Sky docs, pretty good. Also watched Infinity Pool, very weird new film but I thought it was decent. Nightcrawler with Jake Gyllenhaal is another good one I've watched recently
