Rice contact scandals truly is Declan Rice has been given a 5-year contract ![]() |
|
By:
West Ham defender Declan Rice has signed a new contract that runs until the end of the 2023-24 season.
The 19-year-old, whose previous deal was due to expire in 2020, has played 51 games since his debut last year. "I am still young, so to put more years on my contract and keep developing here is the best thing for me to do now," said academy graduate Rice. "With the support of the manager, the players, everyone, it was the right thing to do." Rice, who is eligible to play for England and the Republic of Ireland, said last month the decision over his international future will be "one of the hardest of my career". |

He’s taken off during them for sure Play Arsenal soon see how he fairs in that game Surly noble last season just can’t run anymore Late so many times in tackles Sign to either drop down or retire |

I made that comment about Anderson Day after I saw WESTHAM Get beat up in cup by a spurs team that didn’t even try He was pulled off half time He had 3 touches all half winks was **** on him in 2nd gear |
|
By:
The defensive problems are still there and but for Fabianski would be far more apparent. 100 million spent but will probably finish not much higher than last season. The really good news is Rice signing to a new contract.
|

By:
moble Player next to rice
Like drink water where be better still Defo miss Reid but he’s never fit for more than 5 games Defo need fullbacks too |

Hope they back the manger
With good money next summer forgot window that opens tomorrow, + hope we have good clear out too |
|
By:
Please westham
Off load that useless drain Carroll Don’t think he’s played 90 min since last come back his out again Us fans pay for taxi to scrap yard |
|
By:
The biggest problem is to sort out this catastrophic defending. As for Carroll there is no point in playing him when you don't play direct and he is clearly unfit at the moment. While we talk about offloading you can add in Perez who is completely hopeless. The manager needs to understand he's no longer at Man City and has to adapt his game accordingly.

Anderson grabs the attention but Arnie is the leader he gives the attack tempo and energy.
Perez and Carroll were both useless in supporting Arnie. I would try Anderson there with Cresswell and Arthur down the left. Anderson could do with a rest. Don't want to see him in squad Saturday. We've bought Nasri and have been linked with Medel and McCarthy. We need more quality players to help Anderson and Arnie not more 30 something squad fillers. If we have to go cheap lets promote from academy or the lower leagues. Little chance of relegation we can take risks Antonio looking hungry and determined again. Clear out needed. Perez, Carroll, Sanchez, Obiang, Ogbonna, Reid, Wilshere, Hernandez |
|
By:
First half was as bad as I've seen for some time.
The manager picked the wrong team and took too long to change it. Obiang refused to take responsibilty on the ball. Anderson and Snoddy could have switched wings after 20 minutes. Anything to change the tempo. Taking AC off at HT for Perez changed nothing and was very odd. Only at 0-2 did the manager wake up and smell the fear of defeat. Antonio and Noble changed everything. Diangana is very unlucky not to get a look in at the moment. Most of us left relieved but with doubts about the manager. |

If he was my brother I’d tell him to shut it
Saw other day when Marco got brought off SpAt out dummy!! If he wants to go just **** off too china pmsl |
|
By:
Stoke fans said he was rat !!’
|
|
By:
I believe there's also a sell on clause to pay Stoke if he's sold, but if he wants to go then let him. We only people who want to play for the club and not themselves.

* want people.

Great result that
Defo on his way he can **** off ! On with the new let’s hope will get Good replacement |
|
By:
Good result today and congratulations to Declan Rice on his first goal for the club. Anderson showed a greater willingness to get back and tackle today with Nasri doing well and Fabianski as solid as ever.
|
|
By:
West Ham were excellent today, Arnautovic probably hates the fact we are & will be a decent unit without him, he wants to go so in that case the quicker the better.
|
|
By:
With our injury list I'd rather keep hold of him until the summer . The squad is thin enough as it is and we could do with Lanzini back up and running (gingerly)

By:
He be bad egg if he stays
Which is no chance Make sure they get plenty for him Let’s hope we get good replacement |
|
By:
He was really happy for Rice so he's not all bad.
Anyway if you listen to the gossips on social media btw his gambling, his materialistic wife and that greedy prick of a brother he's got no chance. I wish INJERA would contribute more on the forum his post match observations I find quite insightful. |

Thanks ffaith!
I didn't go yesterday. I think there was some apprehension about the line up. Noble in a 2 in midfield was peoples' concern. But to see such an attacking line up was something we've waited for for years. MP is growing in confidence and was happy to tell Noble and Rice to get forward at any opportunity. Risky but it worked. Arnie like so many footballers has no perspective on real life. How much money does he want?? Hard to respect someone who is playing his best footballer and wants to head off to China. We should make him wait until the Summer if not longer. He'll be hard to replace. Having said that I wonder if MP isn't too bothered. Maybe he wants a front 3 of Lanzini, Anderson and Nasri next year?! |

Everyone at West Ham knows forward Marko Arnautovic wants to leave for a Chinese club, says team-mate Michail Antonio.
The Hammers have received a £35m bid for the Austrian forward, 29, from an unnamed side in China. Antonio said "talisman" Arnautovic would be "truly missed" but added the issue had not affected the West Ham dressing room. "Everyone knows Marko wants to go," Hammers forward Antonio said. Speaking on Sky Sports' Goals on Sunday, he added: "He's massive for the club, the fans love him. "Players come and go, we are used to it. Obviously I'd rather he stayed, he's a talisman for the club." Arnautovic joined from Stoke in 2017 for a then club-record £20m on a contract running until 2022. A club, believed to be Chinese champions Shanghai SIPG, is understood to have bid £35m for Arnautovic, with the wages on offer believed to be £200,000 a week over a four-year contract. West Ham say he is not for sale despite his agent and brother saying it is the player's "great desire" the club accept the offer. The forward started in West Ham's win over Arsenal on Saturday but waved to the home crowd when he was substituted with 20 minutes to go. "In his life right now he feels it's another step for him and he's going to one of the best clubs over there and will be able to win some trophies," Antonio, 28, said. "It's a difficult question. He's coming to the latter end of his career and he might feel that he needs a new step before he retires. This might be the step he wants. "He is a great character, he's like a brother to me. If he goes he will be truly missed." Arnautovic has scored eight goals in 18 games this season and is the club's joint-top scorer. "Replacing him would be a difficult situation," Antonio said. "He has experience of playing, he scores goals and right now who could we sign to replace him? That's where the problem lies. We would definitely need to sign someone too." 'If he's intent on leaving, then let him go' Former England midfielder Jermaine Jenas said West Ham should sell Arnautovic if he does not want to stay. "When I look at West Ham I really like the squad they are getting together and the way Manuel Pellegrini is getting them to play; everything is positive," Jenas said on Match of the Day. "You don't want a player that does not want to be there. "If Arnautovic is intent on leaving then let him go, use the money and bring in someone that wants to be there. "He has been very good for them but he strikes me as a player that can make things go the other way as he is very powerful in the dressing room." |

By:
Looks like he’s said he’s sorry
Wants to stay at westham Didn’t see that coming Score few goals he might get Fans back on side He’s got bit making up to do that’s for sure |
|
By:
We shall see his commitment but one thing for sure is that he will not be here next season.
|

Too many bad eggs in the squad. Hernandez missed the Xmas and new year period cos he was 'injured'. Pretty sure the prick was lying. Other bad eggs include Carroll and Arnautovic.
Then there's the players not good enough Adrian, Ogbonna, Masuaku, Antonio, Obiang get rid of the lot. |
