It should be interesting to see how well a great talent like pellegrini does with a team like West Ham
Top 4 place ? , let’s see

I said on a different thread when pelligrini was first signed that it would be interesting to see how one of these big names does at such a club

It is what it is .. a club owned by guys that sell dildos for a living, playing at an athletics stadium funded for by the tax payer that lives on past glories of over half a century ago. The sooner they get relegated taking their whining deluded fans banging on about the "west ham brand of football" with them the better. They were foaming at the mouth in rage finishing mid table under Allardyce so enjoy playing attractive football at reading next season... out of sight and out of mind for the best IMO

60 years ago yesterday a certain Bobby Moore made his debut for West Ham against Man Utd. I was privileged to be at this match as we secured victory by 3 goals to 2.

Still a work in progress.  Our defence is shaky but we've got clever players going forward.  A fit Lanzini to replace Noble would make us even more potent going forward.
Has Rice signed a new contract yet?  Rice/Obiang is our best central pairing IMO.  COYI

Chelsea

Apparently they play sarri ball.  Don't know what that is but they play 4 at the back with Luiz 1 of the 4.  The great water carrier Kante isn't even their anchor man anymore.  He plays ahead of Jorginho as far as I can work out.  Someone is going to give them a tonking soon IMO.  Probably not us but I reckon we can breach their defence especially after a Thursday game.

Skysports said he refused to warm up.  This has been denied by the player and our manager.  Will they issue an apology?  Not holding my breath corporate filth

Norvedt?

Not particularly appreciated when he played for us.  Now he's playing CL football and even scored last night.

Arnie

Reid keeps on getting injured so does Carroll, Byram, Antonio and Lanzini.  We took a punt on Wilshere and surprise surprise he's injured.  Keep reading that Arnie's playing with a knock.  We've got the squad to rotate regularly.  I hope he is not flogged too much.

Ponchetino?

Can't believe the Spurs mob are giving him grief.  How would Mourinho or Pep fare without funds?  The higher-ups are undermining an excellent manager.

The Everton gaffer

Really excited me when he first came to English football.  We were linked with him at one time.
Not saying that pellegrini is that much better but I'm glad we didn't get him.

ffaith - You can't seriously include Lanzini on a list of players who keep getting injured . Hopefully it's just a one-off and he makes a full recovery . IFBB COYI

Could be wrong but I'm fairly sure this isn't his first lengthy injury at WHU.  It goes likes this he gets injured, recovers takes a long time to regain top form and then gets injured again.

I can't believe Yarmolenko missed that chance when it really was easier to score. I thought Fabianski had another good game and Zabaleta also did well. And now for Macclesfield on Wednesday!

The board

Tbh hated their guts up until this summer. They signed Pellegrini and backed him with money.   Now it seems it's started to pay off.  Gotta give them their props.  They've even stopped saying embarrassing things in public.

Arnie

2 of the top 6 have come to our gaffe recently. IMO our 1st choice CF is better than anything Chelsea or man utd have on their books.  Morata and lukaku each cost north of 60m yeah?  If Arnie was 5 years younger we wouldn't be able to keep him.

So big up Bilic for signing him, props to Moyes for converting him to a CF and to Pellegrino for not changing a winning formula.ExcitedGrin

Pellegrini

Had reservations about him at first but he is slowly changing the culture at WH.  About fking time too.  He's signing skillful players, wants to play decent football and isn't afraid to give young players a chance.  Diop, Rice and Diangrana all featured against man u.
Pretty sure if he was our gaffe when Reece Oxford made his debut Oxford would be a big star by now.

We've got the spuds and fat Frank is playing Chelsea.  They fix it right?

They've had some horrible away kits but the pink one they wore yesterday must be right up there yeah?

Another improved performance on Sunday but we can't really judge anything until at least Christmas. Fabianski has already proved to be a great acquisition and Noble continues to impress with his attitude so hopefully we might finish in the top half. The Brighton away game will be a decent test at the present time and we should expect to get something from that game.

Disappointing again yesterday and Pellegrini must stop this playing it out from the back nonsense. The goal conceded was a direct result of losing the ball in our own half and we were lucky not to concede a second in the same way. The goalkeeper and the defenders are clearly uncomfortable in this situation and opponents just have to press up to put them under pressure. We are not Barcelona or Man City and cannot afford to play in this way.

It's fun being a West Ham fan again.  So much has changed in such a short period.
Under fat Sam and billic it was 'carroll fit, Carroll play'.  Now he's about 4th choice striker.

Under the one-dimensional Moyes Arnie was the only option up-front.  Now he goes off injured and we score 3 goals.

it's rumoured that Pelles may include Silva in the squad against CP.

Of course not everything is rosy in the garden.  I don't think under the present owners we will win anything but Pelles attitude to football puts a smile on my face.

LaughLaughLaughLaughWhat a player! He has the same trick as Hazard, in that he can push the ball past the defender and then it's see ya later - unbelievable pace from a standing start! A lovely player to watch with some seriously silky skills, a different player to Payet but looks like he'll end up being as good for you.

4 wins on the trot not bad for a non top 6 side with a long injury list

Quina getting game time with the hornets and is their youngest ever EPL goalscorer.  I feel gutted and a bit sick every time I see him in a hornets shirt.  Ideal replacement for Noble.  He and Rice could have formed a great CM partnership for years.  We play them next interesting.

Anderson and Arthur.  Got my head in my hands watching them defending but love seeing them going forward.  Arthur passes to Anderson and sprints forward. 2 opposing players try and tackle Anderson and he lobs the ball over them to Arthur.  On the 2nd or 3rd time they know what's coming but can't do anything about it.  Makes me chuckle.

Not only has the gaffer got us playing good football he says he also wants to turn us into a top team.  I don't think I could love the bloke anymore even if I tried.

We are still having problems at the back giving the ball away in our own half through trying to play it out from the back. It cost us against Huddersfield and has lost us at least 7 or 8 points this season. We could easily have conceded 2 ourselves before half time on Saturday.
