It's the only hope we have! And it would be the icing on the cake. It's going to be tough but I hope it's the Battle of Britain.

Rangers B v Celtic B
Glasgow Cup Semi-Final Live on youtube courtery of Rangers TV Was a good game to watch albeit I missed most of the first half. Finished 2-2 with Rangers coming back from behind twice, once in each half. Went to penalties with Rangers winning 5-4. Young Dembele came on as a second half sub for Celtic. Got great pace and strength for someone so small. Alex Lowry got a big future ahead of him as well. Might not be with Rangers though as his agent is currently in talks with Newcastle. |

Rangers' Scottish Premiership visit to Motherwell has been moved to Saturday to allow extra preparation for their Europa League semi-final with RB Leipzig.
The Ibrox side were due to be at Fir Park on Sunday, but the game will now kick off at 12:00 BST the previous day after SPFL discussions with Motherwell, Sky Sports and the police. |

Unlike Dortmund,Leipzig are actually interested in winning the Europa League, sevco got lucky with last two opponents, for different reasons, they will not progress to the final. Celtic have the League sown up and the Cup final with Hearts will be sevco's only chance of silver wear this season, they will play it knowing Celtic are Champions and will be playing in the Champions League next season, there will be enormous pressure on them to win. Hearts are third in the League and in the final here for a reason, another trophy-less season for little sevco is very much a possibility

Rangers B team meet Queens Park in the final.
Date and venue still to be decided. Rangers TV hopefully will stream the game live on youtube again. When played by the senior teams crowds of 30,000 plus were the norm. |

From the BBC webits.
Both been crucial of recent. Plenty of options for midfield but Roofe on top of Morelos is devastating. Not sure Sakala is good enough at this level and Itten hasn't featured. Wright or Arfield maybe? Kemar Roofe and Aaron Ramsey are poised to miss three crucial games for Rangers through injury. The 29-year-old Roofe picked a knock to his knee in Sunday's Scottish Cup semi-final victory over Celtic. Ramsey went off before half time in that game and the 31-year-old midfielder and Roofe are expected to return ahead of the Europa League semi-final second leg at home to RB Leipzig. They will miss the first leg and league games against Motherwell and Celtic. |

Is Morelos out for the rest of the season?
By:
Initially when first injured it was thought he'd miss a few weeks but he then had to undergo surgery which ruled him out for the rest of the season.

roofe is a blow, decent player, but its an opportunity for others in squad who have not been utilised fully and possibly turn out to be heroes and never out team again.
You never know in fitba, i've seen it before happen. |
By:
Thanks for that Aka, it wouldn't surprise me if the title goes down to the last game of the season
By:
Missed most of the game today, only caught the last 20 mins.
GVB obviously had the Leipzig game in mind when resting so many players. Decent victory given we had to play over an hour with 10 men. I think Celtic will have to lose tomorrow for this to go the distance. |
By:
Celtic may yet wobble, they’ve been on a ridiculous winning run in the league it has to end sometime
By:
Tomorrow is a possible banana skin for Celtic.
Malky turned their fortunes around after a dodgy start. Looking at 2022 games only County would be in 3rd place in the league behind Rangers and Celtic. Got to be worth a few quid at 11/1. |
By:
Thank feck St Johnstone equalised and McGhee doesn't need to carry out his promise.

Rangers B team beat Dalbeattie Star 4-3 today in their final Lowland League fixture.
That sees them finish in 2nd place on 73 points and ahead of Celtic on goal difference. Bonnyrigg Rose were runaway winners with 87 points. |
By:
need to concentrate on germans the league is well gone, Celtic very convincing today when gun at their head, the lad Starfelt is a real good player IMO.
By:
very clinical today...county never given a chance to really get into the game...county board will be delighted with the over 2000 away support
By:
i don't watch a lot of football on tv personally but i did today, Celtic look a very good team, no disgrace to finish runners up.
By:
i would be very surprised if celtic lose at home next week, but you never know in fitba
By:
Yeah they look like winning every game in the league at the moment
If you can beat them next week it might open the door but you still need two slip ups after because of the GD? |
By:
MALAY, bear in mind we are in a European semi-final. Not bad for a Scottish club.
By:
magnificent stuff stewarty in getting to the semif final I dont think I've said otherwise.
I remember nearly missing a flight cheering penalties on for walter's team to make final in Prestwick. So 100% respect from myself, no arguments here, I can assure you of that |
By:
Agree Sonta.
After the OF game Celtics last 3 games are Hearts (H) - Dun Utd (A) - Motherwell (H) Even if Rangers win the OF game I can't see Celtic dropping 4 points in those 3 games. Rangers last 3 games are Dun Utd (H) - Ross Co (H) - Hearts (A) |
By:
Celtic will win next week, they will be odds on too I think.
By:
Really tough tie though Stew.
Leipzig currently in 4th place in the Bundesliga 21 points behind Bayern. And 11 points behind 2nd placed Borussia Dortmund who we easily beat earlier in the competition. However the annual table (2022 only) shows Leipzig on top on GD. So 2nd half of the season obviously so much better than the first half. However they did lose 2-1 to 6th placed Union Berlin at the weekend. Coincidently they beat Union Berlin 2-1 at home in the cup 4 days earlier. I would imagine with the league well over they rested a few players though. |
By:
The missing players are going to be our Achilles heel Aka.
By:
Current odds on the OF match:
6/5 Celtic - 12/5 Draw - 29/10 Rangers. I'll wait til after the Leipzig game before predicting the result. |
By:
Balogun will be suspended for the Celtic game.
So we better hope there are no injuries to the back 4 on Thursday. On reflection, as I don't think we'll be doing a lot of attacking on Thursday, Roofe will be that much of a miss. Sakala or Wright with their speed, whilst not as good as Roofe, could be better options as we'll be playing on the break. Always remember Sunday the 22nd of May 2005 Stew. Anything is possible. |
By:
They rested players for both games. I backed Leipzig at 20/1 ew after the home draw against Sociedad, so have been following them. They've regularly been smashed in the betting. Into 1.46 against Frankfurt for example iirc. Based on that any odds against outright is very good value, but last 3 games they've looked a bit jaded. They're success has led to a jam packed schedule so Rangers playing them at a good time. Still there's a gulf in class between the two sides with Leipzig 2 goals better over 2 legs, and I fully expect a full strength Leipzig for this match.
By:
massive price celtic i make them a 4/6 chance, and i didnt fancy them in semi final at evens on neutral ground, very strange betting IMO as nothing has changed.
fill yer boots lads |

Should GVB take a chance on Amad Diallo to lead the line in Germany. A chance to finally shine?
I think sometimes we concentrate more on the opposition than our own record in Europe. Getting more confident by the hour. ![]() I also see that we've reopened contract talks with Alex Lowry who's been a standout for the B team this season. |

Rangers Players Player of the Year - James Tavernier No surprise with that. |
By:
Young player of the year - Calvin Bassey.
Academy player of the year - Charlie McCann. B team player of the year Cole McKinnon. |

We should forget about the league. It's only Europe that counts now unless you count the Scottish Cup. Personally I would give Hearts the trophy now if it meant we got into the final. Wishful thinking I know but we can do it.
MALAY, no problems I may add, I know you weren't having a pop and if it goes bad for us both I have plenty of relatives/friends in Hamilton that can get us season tickets for the Accies. ![]() |

stewarty b, ta but i've never been in the new stadium, i loved the old douglas park, even went to wtach clyde occasionally there, i suppose it's all progression but not for myself.
I'm rarely in Scotland anyway and particularly not Hamilton. Europe massive for you, as was for Walter, Ally and underrated lad mcdowall in coaching when you reached final against zenith, and MON when he got to seville, did Celtic win anything that season ? not sure they did. Enjoy the occasion as said previously great work to get there, without a doubt. |

Congratulations to the Rangers Youth team on winning the Scottish Youth Cup.
They beat Hearts 2-1 at Hampden last night in a game that was televised live on the BBC. Good game to watch with both teams committed to attack. ` |
