If any of the old firm managers has to go it has to be lennon absolutely clueless. I hear stevie Gerrard is having some domestic issues, which might explain his bad form of late, could also be caused by his team as well

Looking forward to entertaining Bayer tonight with a sell-out crowd at the Brox vociferously cheering the lads on. 0-0 or 2-1 for me.
Cheers for messages Aka - all good mate and I fully concur re the poster. Defo a dodgy one. GSTQ, WATP, no surrender and bring on the stinking Yahoo soap dodgers on Sunday in what will be quite likely be the final time this season there will be a crowd at a Scottish fitba game ![]() |

3-1 flattered Bayer as anyone who watched the game will confirm.
Overall I thought Braga a better side. If, as being suggested, that there will be no games after Sunday then only fair to declare this years league and cup null and void. That would be the right thing to do to maintain the sporting integrity of the Scottish game. |

Ach, c'est la vie but it's been a good trip getting so far against superior opposition - but all is not lost. All we need do is score two without reply at the Bay Arena behind closed doors - if it goes ahead at all. Stanger things have happened - but they do owe us one, so all the best to them too. I like German teams and their fans tend to be excellent fun and make for great drinking buddies

All we need do is score two without reply - erm, three that should have read but nevermind as it's been postponed - as has the Shelfer's game. Strange times!

Jurgen Klopp when asked to comment on football being suspended.
(Not the full statement) The man oozes class. I don’t think this is a moment where the thoughts of a football manager should be important, but I understand for our supporters they will want to hear from the team and I will front that. First and foremost, all of us have to do whatever we can to protect one another. In society I mean. This should be the case all the time in life, but in this moment I think it matters more than ever. I’ve said before that football always seems the most important of the least important things. Today, football and football matches really aren’t important at all. Of course, we don’t want to play in front of an empty stadium and we don’t want games or competitions suspended, but if doing so helps one individual stay healthy - just one - we do it no questions asked. If it’s a choice between football and the good of the wider society, it’s no contest. Really, it isn’t. Today’s decision and announcement is being implemented with the motive of keeping people safe. Because of that we support it completely. We have seen members of teams we compete against become ill. This virus has shown that being involved in football offers no immunity. To our rival clubs and individuals who are affected and to those who later will become so, you are in our thoughts and prayers. |
|
By:
The competitions will be completed, when ? who knows ?, but it is pointless starting next seasons without completing this season's fixtures. Season might be shorter next season which might make 10 in a row more difficult, as less games, the cream may not automatically rise to the top.
A lot of football clubs will be pushed into serious financial trouble though, which will be much more of a concern for many in the game than trophies, everywhere. Agree Celtic can't be awarded the title just now, (Unless it comes from UEFA of course), although the Rangers manger has already admitted they are champions, in fairness only a fool would think otherwise. |

what a bizarre statement this is from Wishart. The move to postpone was also welcomed by the players’ union. Chief executive Fraser Wishart said: “If the supporters are not allowed in, our members should not be asked to put their health and safety at risk by playing games behind closed doors.”
So are they not going to be training ?, or that not going to shops today ? or they sitting in an underground shelter, with a mask on ? With an attitude like that, I doubt many people will have sympathy when admin strikes and they lose their jobs, unless their clubs are telling them "we don't want closed doors football, so say you're not playing, we need these games in front of fans or we are ****" |

The gemmes a bogey , no champions in 2019/20 oh well sh!t happens.
The pineapple will be busy tomorrow. |

Rangers never credited with their win in 1939-40 when football interrupted by WWII - so no way the Tims can claim a league title here. I will go further and say that their 'streak' has been interrupted and next season they will be starting from 'zero' in a row along with all other teams.

Clearly says in spfl rules if league decided to be over, team leading is champions so it's 9 in a row regardless if season is closed or played to finish.
HH there is no argument. |

Is that taken from Father klahncies prayer book?

Precedent already set. No completion no winners. Seems fair.
BTW remember when Liewell said that to maintain the sporting integrity of the league there should be no extension. I'm with him on that. |
|
By:
Hypothetical I know but if Rangers win their game in hand and beat Celtic twice there's only 4 points in it and not enough to hand Celtic the title imo.
And speaking of games in hand, how long have Rangers had to wait to play theirs? Over two months I reckon, a fkn disgrace by the beaks who are supposed to run the show. |
|
By:
As a lifelong Celtic supporter if the positions were reversed I wouldn't be happy if rangers were declared as champions

Good on you, G Hall. Always good to have decent, rational and non-bitter Celtic supporters in here and they're always welcome
Sorry for being rude about your team You too Plat, MMac, etc. The good guys know who they are ![]() Cannae make the present standings final cos how about if Saintees had beat the HIVs yesterday? They'd be Top Six! Then there's the Wee Billies at the bottom (lol). What if they won enough of their games to stay up? Nah, void the season and start next all over as new and none-in-a-row for us all. It's the right, proper and only decent thing to do. |
|
By:
^ Saintees have a game in hand, btw

Firstly, it's good to see you back and posting trilby, even if it is just your usual GSTQ & WATP inane p1sh
![]() Speaking as a neutral, I think awarding a team a League title, when mathematically, it has not been won, is inequitable. The League has to be completed at all costs, all leagues, not just the SPL. With the euros not happening, the summer can be used, even it eats into next seasons start dates, for a one off, we could do away with one or both of the cup competitions. It would not be fair to deny decent morally upright Scottish football fans the pure joy of witnessing Sevco's utter horror and humiliation at seeing Celtic go 10 in a row IMO. ![]() |

On the game in hand T22,for me it's clear cut the leagues run to disadvantage Rangers, an I not right in thinking Rangers could have been top of league after beating celtic if the game in hand had been played? Instead Rangers were still behind and klahncy deliberate and shameful act of incorrectly sending off Morelos in that game put paid to our challenge, slow mo showed contact and if he did not like how Morelos went down he should have sent the defender off as well for the same, slo mo showed contact, and after the downright cheating of Rangers in the cup by officials its clear Rangers beating celtic was a Big problem for officials in Scotland. The only team affected by the league rescheduling was Rangers, ffs I bet the St johnstone game has still not been given a date and as you say T22 it has caused a problem for the league,in their hurry to disadvantage Rangers and make sure celtic win the league they forgot about how much it would show, that game had to be played before the split, it fcked the league up and could not hide it, uts there for all to see. Corruption.Rangers v St johnstone game had to be played before split and it wasnt. They let there own corrupt allegiances get in the way of the integrity of the league.Of course the shameless badtards will be looking to see how they can avoid relegating hearts and handing celtic the title, you know how their dirty hands work. More concerned with this horrible covid virus myself but it's time for Rangers to push back against this cabal.
