Rangers have terminated the contract of Carlos Pena.
No reason given but not hard to fathom why.

Two penos for Gers and two reds for Dons would suit very nicely Cool

Trilby, you fancy another big priced goalscorer bet for tonight ?

Not going for Ryan Jack this time (that boat has sailed and his price has been slashed now).  I'm having a few quid on Nikola Katic at 25/1 anytime scorer.
That's on here and with Mountains (20/1 at best elsewhere). He's getting a run of games now after an injury and he does pop up now and then from a set piece. Tonight is a night for set pieces.

Bet of the night, tho has to be Graeme Shinnie to get booked at massive 29/20 (at Vic's), best price elsewhere is 13/10.
Nearly 6/4 for the sheep's hatchet man with Bobby Madden in charge ?  Surprised  Yes please Cool

Cheers Platini, I shall follow you in there.

Shinie 9/1 for a red too.

Win or bust for me tonight with only a win to have any chance of catching Celtic. A draw or worse and you can hand the title to Celtic tonight imo.

(Given Celtic beat Hibs) One thing for sure, some of the pansies will have their gloves on as it's baltic up here.

Stewarty I was at the bohemians v east fife match on saturday in dublin postponed 5 minutes before kick off, cowardly **** wouldn't play cos it was too cold, Greigy, Big Tam forsyth, roy aitken, danny mcgrain would have been out there in 2 minutes in same conditions, winning tackles but not been dirty.,
the game is **** mate.

Spot on Malay. No surprise if Defoe wears them as he has his nails manicured on a regular basis. 35k per week?????? What was Gerrard thinking about?

Don't know that stat Plat but if I'm having a wee bet it will be on the unders.

I hope he does trilby but the thing that concerns me is that given his age he is NOT the future at Rangers. I would have preferred two promising recruits on 17.5k per week.

First on my list would have been Ryan Fraser from Bournemouth.
By:
trilby22
When: 06 Feb 19 16:34
No, he most certainly is not the future and nor was I overly enthused upon his arrival but he'll suffice as a stop gap while Stevie G builds The New Invincibles Cool

Trilby, can you remember from the old thread the Gers fan who posted on You Tube after each match? His patter was brilliant but I don't have the link now. Any idea?

Nothing gives me better pleasure than beating Celtic than beating Aberdeen. Still in there fighting although we have to beat Celtic at Parkhead for any chance of the title. As for tonight......sweet.

Think the hoops routinely rag doll them in any meaningful matches. Been a few 4s I'm sure, maybe a 5 in there as well. I'd need to look it up.

Boxing Day was the last time, Eduoard off the bench and all that.

Last team to hit 4 before that was Ross County in the last game of three seasons ago, when we pretty much phoned the whole post-split in.

We might have actually won tonight if McInnes hadn't **** up the first half. Same old story.

Oh, and last time that Celtic hit 4 at Pittodrie before last Boxing Day was in 2010, and that finished 4-4.

Well, as Eric Morecambe would say … Grin

A most pleasing and profitable result.  Well done the Sons of William Cool

I had to laugh when the Aberdeen player handled in the box for a stonewall penalty and then protesting his innocence to the referee. You couldn't make it up.

Hard fought victory for the Gers. Looked to be coasting but the early penalty in the 2nd half changed that, how could Tav think he'd get away with that right in front of the ref.
Defoe an excellent addition to the squad. We needed a proven goalscorer like him as an alternative to Morelos. No point at this stage looking to the future in every signing.
I see we are appealing the red card. Thought it was a tad harsh at the time and even Andy Walker agreed with that.

I wonder what is going through Gerrard's mind at the moment re: Morelos? Can't he get him some sort of physiological help?

It worked for Luis Suárez at Barcelona and he is a class act.

Hopefully something will be done as we need him badly for the run in. Moreles has the problem but it's Gerrard's responsibility to help the man.

It would be a helluva loss if he had to move on imo.

A case of wait and see by the looks of it.

The gap Malay. I presume you are referring to the gap between the league title we have won against your total.
I think, despite celtic conspiring to get us thrown out of the SPL, the numbers are still favourable to the Gers.
Yes, I am mindful. We welcome the chase. Happy

aka you never got flung out of anything, rangers were liquidated or to be more cruel died, not the rangers fans fault I hasten to add, and they formed a new club. There is a book called Downfall which explains everything, you might get it for  a pound doon the barras.

That's facts not my opinion. The new club has never won the top league in Scotland.
I'm not really interested in "the new club" argument, it's boring but you brought the subject up so you need to be told.

For what its worth the Celtic board wanted the new club to get automatic entry to the top league but when they realized the backlash from all scottish football fans not just Celtic, they had to go with what was correct. Some people still believe you jumped a few progressive non league clubs to even come into bottom tier, but that is another argument I have no interest in.

Andy Walker was doing his best to get McGregor banned and this has also been picked up by BBC Celtic.

Walker always looks to highlight anything which he thinks can get a Rangers player into trouble.

see in fairness Kenny, they should be proud of themselves they started a new club and progressed through the leagues, magnificent crowds every week, but robbed by crooks constantly, run by crooks, but who cares ? one day they might "beat the tarriers at the piggery" you never know mate, hope I don't see it but it could happen in the next few years, we have lost to worse teams at home.
