Rangers at 13/8 seems value but a long wait for your cash if it stots in. Having said that I will hold back at present because I genuinely don't know how good this Celtic team are. RE: at present I would go 10/11 your pick but just for the time being Celtic seem better at hammering teams in the league than us but we're still settling down and I for one have faith in our manager, I do now. |

Good afternoon Aka, how would you compare Van Brockhurst to Gerrard, based on what they have done at Rangers.
|

I wouldn't do anything but praise Stevie G for what he did at Ibrox.
Stopped 10iar which was the target set him. Did well in Europe taking us to the EL group stages 4 times. GVB took over mid November and sure he lost the title but Rangers carried on in Europe. He took us out of the group when all looked lost after the first 2 games (SG in charge for those 2 losses) and got us through 4 tricky knock-out ties and to the EL Final. GVB shades it for me so far. |

A few got Rangers at 7/4 Stew.
Just watched the highlights v Dun Utd and it was like a knife through butter. But Hearts did well against them at Parkhead and were still in the game at 0-1 until the last min. Similar tale with Aberdeen. Rangers a far harder test and I'll be betting us to win 2-1. |

That's what i would have thought as well, looks like the spl will be decided by the old firm games this season.

StevieG under a lot of pressure and the next 3 league games are
Arsenal (A), Man City (H) and Leicester (A). Not the schedule you would want in Villas position. |

Will be a stroll in the park for Rangers (1/25) as they face
Queen of the South at Ibrox tonight in the Scottish league cup. A 7.45pm kick-off and live on Premier Sports 1. Would expect a team of mainly fringe players and youngsters. Near the bottom of Div. 1, the B team would probably beat them. |

Transfer rumours.
We're seemingly interested in midfielder Ross Barkley who has been freed by Chelsea. According to the Turkish media the agent of Morelos has approached Feherbache with a view to them signing him. Antony has left Ajax for Man Utd and Napoli are interested in signing Ronaldo. That would be something to look forward to when Napoli come to Ibrox. |
|
By:
Using UEFAs 5% rule it looks like we'll get approx 2700
tickets for each of our away ties. Get in quick Stew if you're going. |

Difficult to predict tonights team but I expect McGregor to play
with a back four of Devine, Goldson, King and Yilmaz. I think McCann will get a chance in midfield with possibly Arfield taking Colaks place up front. Fringe players to make up the rest. |

Tonights team news:
RANGERS: McGregor, Devine, King, Jack, Ridvan; Davis, Kamara, Arfield; Matondo, Ure, Sakala SUBS: McCrorie, Sands, Barisic, Fraser, McCann, Wright, Nsio, Lovelace, Stevens |

Took that off the official site.
Ryan Jack partnering Leon King in the centre of the defence. |

Not one of Saturdays expected starting eleven were involved last night.
All the changes nearly came back to bite GVB and hats off to QotS who tried to get forward at every opportunity. Rangers dominated the game but the clincher didn't come until the 86th minute despite all the pressure. |
|

Woeful performance from Sakala last night and
I would think Rangers will be trying to punt him before tomorrows deadline. Matondo has plenty of speed but he'll need to improve his distribution if he's going to force his way into the starting 11. |

Drawn at home to Dundee in the quarter-finals of the Premier Sports Cup.
Happy with that and another opportunity to give the fringe and youngsters an outing. A good 2-0 win for the B team away to Gretna last night. Takes us to the top of the Lowland league on goal difference. Nicola Katic has left the club and signed for Zurich. Had a decent start to his career at Ibrox but was out of favour and spent last year out on loan. Nice, according to Scottish media reports, interested in signing Glen Kamara with a fee of £10m being quoted. Hasn't been at his best for a while and think that fee a bit fanciful. Hope he stays, on his game he is a £10m player. |

I don't like to kick people when there down, and bohys are sevco down, but I have said all along on this thread that sevco's financial behaviour over the last 3 or 4 seasons needed to be questioned. Posting loss after loss, having share issue after share issue, loan after loan and yet spending up to £7 million on a single player, does not add up. Finally UEFA have taken action against sevco and have popped them on the UEFA's watchlist for FFP (Financial Fair Play) compliance - meaning they'll be asked for additional financial information and will be monitored closely.
https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/20897879.uefa-financial-fair-play-rules-work-will-affect-rangers/ What are the punishments for clubs failing to comply with FFP? UEFA state: "Breaches will result in pre-defined financial penalties and sporting measures." In addition to fines, likely punishments include points deductions in domestic leagues, demotion to lower-ranking competitions and a total exclusion from UEFA tournaments for severe rule-breakers. My personal dossier on sevco is on it's way to the nice people at UEFA. ![]() |

That post and this line in particular really cheered me up after that disaster of a result. In fact it did more than that as I actually burst out laughing. Thanks joeybhoy. |

Anyways we're in good company as the other clubs UEFA asked questions
of included Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Manchester City. They've obviously had a look at the bigger performing clubs in Europe in the past few seasons. As they say joeybhoy, its tough at the top. ![]() |

Wow - Rangers are sh!tt!ng themselves - an anonymous punter off the Betfair Forum has submitted a Dossier - this is big ****. ManC Barca and RM are bricking it |

Ii think there was always suspicions about funding at new club at ibrox, but they made a few quid last season which has saved them to have great achievement in getting to europa final, how they managed it on pitch is strange ? was possibly a fluke ?, the team lacks pace, invention, and any strategy apart from fouling in matches i've seen them in domestic games.
However they are safe just now although why the SFA didn't investigate their funding previously will remain a mystery to many. |

This current Rangers team appear to be on a rapid decline, So this Rangers team that beat PSV on their home ground 11 days ago to reach the Champions League Group Stages is in rapid decline. Well 11 days is rapid I suppose. Thats a cracker. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

@GEESUSS
Given that in the past 10 years that obsessed Celtic fans have openly crowdfunded to raise money to send a dossier to UEFA (article 12) and pay for full page adverts in 2 newspapers, one in Switzerland one in Scotland it wouldn't surprise anyone if joeybhoy was being serious. He is quite obsessed as is plain to see.. BTW to the great amusement of us Rangers supporters they sent the advert in English to a paper aimed at French speaking readers and the one in French to the Scottish based paper. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Don't waste your time Aka. That aside Gio has to put the best goalkeeper back in charge as our last line of defence. As for the chimpanzee in goal yesterday, ship him off to Stathspey Thistle.

**best goalkeeper = In Scotland.

There was no reason to drop McGregor in the first place.
I think GVB will realise that was a mistake. Will give the players a lift if he does return. BTW best goalkeeper in Scotland by a country mile. |
|
By:
i think they lack pace surely you agree aka ? not sure mcgregor at 40 is answer of the weekends battering, you have gave us great reports of younger players, maybe it's time for them to be given a chance to provide that pace spark and energy, Celtic seem to have above them. Who Knows, maybe there is a new Ian Duurant there, great player.
