Storm ,Arsenal may have won it without cup competitions this season .
Think about it . |

were Sterling and Sturridge stars before the season started? No. They raised their level and gave Liverpool 3 game changers with pace.
The other teams couldn't raise their standards to another level. Torres, Ba, Dzeko, Negredo, Giroud...not good enough. End of story. |

So what you are saying is that if any team other than 1 in Europe (at any stage?) wins the league it is devalued/freak/not the same as when a team with all the resources it needs to win every comp it enters (top 4) wins it? What an interesting perspective that is. No really it is..
Out of interest has anybody got the minutes played stats as the fact that Liverpool's squad is smaller than the other challengers could mean they have played more minutes than the teams in Europe - or certainly not sig less. |

Suarez claims the intensity of the Champions League could prove to be a potential pitfall for Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City above them and is eager to seize advantage in coming months.
zeez eez facts !! |

If Mourinho hadn't loaned out Lukaku and sold Mata then Chelsea would've probably won the league.

Liverpool getting purposely knocked out of the Cups early aswell, what a shower of cunning baxtards, I'd say Southampton will be looking at this and thinking they can win the league next year.

And while Rodgers would prefer to be in Europe next season, he admits there would be benefits to avoiding a return of European football to Anfield in the 2013/14 campaign.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has echoed the beliefs of Jose Mourinho by claiming Liverpool are emerging as a major threat to win this season's Premier League title.
Liverpool are in the mix for the biggest prize in English football after a strong run of results in recent weeks and currently sit in fourth place, four points off leaders Chelsea. Following their FA Cup elimination to Arsenal, Brendan Rodgers' side now only have the Premier League to focus on. Arsenal have FA Cup and Champions League games on their horizon as they look to sustain their own title push and Wenger admitted a lighter schedule could play to Liverpool's advantage. "Liverpool is in the race and they have an advantage because it's the only competition they play," Wenger said. "Overall, it will be very tight, I hope until the end because that means it will be close until the end and if you are consistent, you will have a good chance to win it." And lets see who is in the Champions League semi final .

Nope they attracted investment after already being above Liverpool ,champions league clubs are attractive to investors especially one in London . The world has moved on.
Roman had to dump his money into an asset in a hurry before he got it taken of him. Chelsea just happened to be the right place right time scenario. He is one of the famous robber barons who stole the fortune that built your plastic success ;) Fitting you have the biggest plastic back as manager, just a big pile of ****g plastic with plastic flags waving like the cherry on top |
|
By:
I guess it must be the same every season then. Premier League only won by a side not playing in Europe because they have such an advantage? Or on the other hand are teams that don't get into Europe suppose to not attempt to win the league?
Truth really being Mourinho, and many fans seething. Only club that I can see so far that's acted with any dignity in the face of Liverpool possibly winning the title, is, Man City. |

stone even Arsenal may have won it with Liverpool's schedule. Think how many less injuries you would have had and frsh for EVERY match.

TBB - all squads are 25 (and up to 8 'homegrowns') strong in the prem or didn't you know that? Obv to somebody as knowledgeable as yourself i don't need to explain what a 'homegrown' is (think Fabregas) but basically the more of these the more youngsters a club is trying to bring through. Anyway, thanks for trying - you did your best to be helpful i know - and back to the minutes question, where's John Motson when you need him?
|
|
By:
I am saying they would not have won it but for their schedule that allowed them to escape injuries suspensions and remain fresh and focused on one thing . It was an abnormal season for a team to win it like Liverpool did. Put Arsenal in the same situation and they may well have done the same.

Mourinho called it months ago ,massive help with them not being good enough to play in Europe ,even on a Thursday night like Spurs.
...yep, even when he is a loser....he's still a genius. |

Blimey 7th . Utd are climbing the league by losing

Fair play to Liverpool they won the league they've been the best side end of. Regardless that their fans love a grizzle and a dribble at every opportunity they've been the best side

Stop moaning about extra matches in Europe-if this is a problem for Chelsea drop out of Champions league next season.Back England to win World Cup at30+/1 on Betfair. Liverpool will supply 5 players to start every match in Gerrard,Sterling,Sturridge,Henderson and Johnson i.e virtually half the team- remember when Liverpool are strong England are strong
