yet again BJ 69 YX:YX you have blown your £2 bet laying Liverpool LaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh

I hope it is only £2 of your weekly benefits that you waste on your deluded and wasteful pursuit LaughLaughLaughLaugh

It must now be obvious to all - BJ69 YX:YX - that you are a complete betting buffoon LaughLaughLaughLaugh

Insistent that laying manure this season would not have resulted in a profit CrazyCrazyCrazy

I had to explain to you - very patiently and slowly - that laying manure this season has given rise to MASSIVE profit CoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCool

BJ69 YX:YX is a betting buffon and a clueless muppet incapable of understanding a strategy for successfully laying teams LaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh

only an obstinate and very stubborn cretin is incapable of understanding how stupid it has been to lay Liverpool this season, while laying manure has led to MASSIVE profits CoolCoolCoolCoolCool

so would probably still be up if laid Liverpool in all competitions to level stake at start of the season?
Carling Cup results:

Notts County (h) drew
Man Utd (a) lost

FA Cup results:
Oldham (h) won
Bournemouth (a) won
Arsenal (a) lost

Give or take commission about even in all comps. Some unexpected results over the last few weeks but it should be there or there abouts at the end of the season

So you've spent every week of the season doing a bet and at best you are going to break even. Sounds like shrewd punting to me. Good luck with it.

Well that's a better result than the vast majority of punters.

Laying Liverpool in the premier League for £10 stakes has given rise to a loss of £31 GrinGrinGrin

while laying manure in the premier league for £10 stakes has given rise to a profit of £56.9 (assuming 4% commission) HappyHappyHappy

It must now be obvious to all that BJ69 YX:YX is a complete betting buffoon LaughLaughLaugh who has been insistent through out this thread that laying manure this season would not have resulted in a profit CrazyCrazyCrazy

I think you'll find it's Liverpool fansLaugh>you

Not even particular fans, just people who recognize the sheer stupidity of picking something out in August and continuing to back it blindly week in week out despite it proving a consistent loss. You're not the shrewdest are you laddy?

When you do set up your premium tipping line do give us a shout sunbeam.

do you think the thread has proved any point CJ

apart from you opbviously are not a big fan of LFC and the market in the long run is not wrong on the prices

you probably had a point in recent seasons but you don't seem to have adapted for an improved team now.
By:
CJ70
When: 02 Mar 14 12:34
We'll see at the end of the season I guess.

Prices are still clearly wrong, only the most ardent Liverpool fan would believe that they are not.

I'm not sure Liverpool have really improved, they've certainly surprised me over the last few weeks picking up unexpected wins at Arsenal, Everton & Southampton. Is that just good form or a real improvement? If they continue the current form after the Sunderland game then its most likely this thread wont end in profit.

I'm not a fan of any Premiership side and I certainly don't actively dislike Liverpool. As you can see from some of your fellow supporters above a lot of Liverpool/Man Utd fans aren't the brightest bunch and don't seem to understand the concept of betting. It's obvious that I'm going to oppose those people.

to me if the prices were wrong you'd have been showing a profit

as for liverpool not being improved, that is a very strange perspective.

The concept of betting: have an opinion, be faced with continual evidence that it's flawed, continue to back it blindly anyway.

Excellent work, Sherlock.

That's not how betting works though is it?

Who says it wont show a profit? Is 38 a definitive sample size to prove that the price is correct or not?

in a lay liverpool season thread yes Crazy

i've said in other season you would have had a point, a large part due to poor home form when we consistently struggled to win enough games at odds on.

i think the point i am trying to make is this season has been different, the home record is miles better for starters.

Why don't you accept you've missed the boat CJ. This thread is a season or two too late.
By:

When: 02 Mar 14 15:08
It's a lay season thread, so we don't know what will happen until the season finishes.

Home record is starting to look better after the wins over Everton and Arsenal, but with Tottenham, Chelsea, City and Newcastle still to come it's not set in stone.
By:
stridingedge
When: 02 Mar 14 15:22
it wasn't them games that were usually the problem cj

you are right of course its too early to call i was just responding to your is 38 games a definitive sample size.

the way in recent seasons would have been to lay us at home against the lesser teams thats where some heavy odds on shots went down.
By:
pushkin99

This thread has exposed BJ69 YX:YX as a buffon unable to grasp the simplest basics of successful betting LaughLaughLaugh

he is still unable to grasp that laying manure has been highly successful even when it is plain for everyone else to see and understand DevilDevilDevil

to say his grasp of betting and straightforward mathematics is very limited is generous in the extreme LaughLaughLaugh

What I meant is that the outcome of the 38 games will not be a big enough sample size to say if price is wrong or not. The Liverpool price is clearly always on the short side and this season the expectation has moved it in further.

So while the prices last year would have almost certainly made a profit from laying all season, the increased expectation this season has probably factored out the better performances betting wise.

Liverpool's price though is clearly NOT always on the short side though. If you take yesterday for an example I thought the 6/5-11/10 was way overpriced compared to my own and recent historical prices and so backed accordingly.

I do think there are 2 teams who are consistently under-priced: Swansea and Southampton. They could be ones to watch next season from a laying angle.
By:
CJ70
When: 02 Mar 14 21:02
You must be a bookies dream if you thought a team with Liverpool's away record deserved to be as short as that.

I agree with you that Southampton are in the same boat.
