And a meaningless punishment as it cost you nothing.

I agree with you 100% John , i was explaining how the punishment was set , they set the rules up after motherwell ..
quote..Rangers weren't picked on and the 10 point deduction was a punishment...some on here are saying Rangers have recieved no PUNISHMENT , when is obvious they have recieved PUNISHMENT |

My question here is, why does anyone want Rangers to be punished? This is a club that has gone into freefall. They are virtually destroyed. They are in the 3rd Div. They are excluded from Europe for 3 years. It will take them at least 3 years to get back into the SPL. They have lost nearly all of their first team players. Their name had been dragged through the mud. They have lost their dignity. They have been embarrassed. They have been completely humbled. What possible reason would there be to punish them? I just don't understand why anyone would want them to suffer any more? I just don't see any pint in it. The wrong people would be punished anyway. The previous owner and previous board members are the ones who should be punished.

Sevco got assets that were listed as worth 100 million for 1.5 million while others were owed up to 150 million. Remind me again, who has been punished?

That just makes the new owners shrewd, they got themselves a real bargain.

What next? Why do people want Farepak owners punished? These are decent, honest businessmen who have public school fees to pay for their kids. They have gardeners to pay to look after the hundreds of acres surrounding their country mansions. Why would people want them punished?

Hello Mac.
A temporary licence? Never heard of that. So, they could play one game, then be thrown out, for a year or more? Sounds crazy, they make up new rules everyday, it seems. |

Exactly, what about all the people who are owed money, how much will they receive? They should have had to give up all assets to cover their debt. They have gotten of lightly. |

Brechin chairman on stv now stating he expects game to go ahead on Sunday providing talks in Glasgow end with Rangers getting the temp license.
STV news expects Ger`s to be granted the temp license, 4000 sell out if game goes ahead. Yes liam that`s about the size of it,if gers dont accept SFA sanctions it could be curtains. |

come on mr eejit, explain what farepak and rangers have in common because i don't get it

Feck loves analogies, I wouldn't get too worked up about it.
If the 10 point rule was scrapped and discretion was brought in as to how administration was punished, then some would be unhappy about that and would be more unfair in general. |

By:
who is worked up? i'm genuinely trying to understand what his point was.

They both went into administration to escape paying what they owed.

So far the only punishment Rangers / Sevco have received is the £160k fine ,your distorted facts ... tambhoy this is wrong lies and utter crap.. as i explained in my other posts
|
|
By:
He is wrong you received a punishment of a 10 point deduction for going in to admin. which didn't make a difference. That is the only punishment you have received as you haven't paid the £160k fine. Slap on the wrist is an understatement if ever there was one.

Agreement on transfer of membership Friday, 27 July 2012 Joint statement on behalf of The Scottish FA, The Scottish Premier League, The Scottish Football League and Sevco Scotland Ltd. We are pleased to confirm that agreement has been reached on all outstanding points relating to the transfer of the Scottish FA membership between Rangers FC (In Administration), and Sevco Scotland Ltd, who will be the new owners of The Rangers Football Club. A conditional membership will be issued to Sevco Scotland Ltd today, allowing Sunday’s Ramsdens Cup tie against Brechin City to go ahead. Following the completion of all legal documentation, the Scottish Premier League will conduct the formal transfer of the league share between RFC (IA) and Dundee FC on no later than Friday 3rd August 2012. At this point, the transfer of Scottish FA membership will be complete. Key points: - The Scottish FA has received all necessary information and documentation from Sevco Scotland Ltd, including details of the company structure, shareholders, financial projections and business plan. - Sevco Scotland Ltd has agreed to accept all conditions relating to RFC (IA)'s charges of bringing the game into disrepute, namely the 12-month transfer embargo, beginning at 0.01a.m on 1st September 2012, and payment of all outstanding fines and costs. - Sevco Scotland Ltd has agreed to settle all outstanding football debts to other members of the Scottish FA plus clubs under the jurisdiction of other Football Associations. - The Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League have reached agreement on the purchase of a package of broadcasting rights which will allow the former to include The Rangers FC matches in contracts with broadcast partners. - The Scottish Premier League has reserved its position in relation to the on-going investigation into EBTs. Stewart Regan, Chief Executive of the Scottish FA: “We are pleased for everyone involved in this process, and indeed the whole of Scottish football, that a conclusion has been reached. “There were a number of complex and challenging issues involved but, primarily, the Scottish FA had to be satisfied that the new owners of Rangers would operate in the best interests of the club, its fans and Scottish football in general. “We have reached agreement on all terms and conditions attached to the transfer of membership and are able to grant conditional membership, ahead of the formal transfer of the SPL share a week today. This will allow the season to kick-off as planned this weekend and I am sure there will be many who will join me in welcoming the start of the new football season in Scotland. “This has been a difficult period for Scottish football, but with this agreement now in place, and with the new season upon us, it is essential that we all focus our energies on football once again. In the months ahead, the Scottish FA will resume discussions on the subject of league reconstruction. We remain committed to this process in order to re-energise the national game and will work closely with the SPL, SFL and all other relevant affiliated bodies to provide a dynamic product appealing to our supporters." Charles Green, Chief Executive of The Rangers Football Club, said “The agreement signed today allows Rangers to be granted membership by the SFA and finally enables the Club to move forward. “The Board, the Manager and senior executives have been working tirelessly over the last few weeks to secure the future of the Club and today is the start of that process. “The Board has had to take some very difficult decisions to gain SFA membership, including accepting the delayed transfer ban and paying outstanding financial penalties. But we are now able to get back to playing football and plan for the new season, starting this Sunday with our match against Brechin. “There remains, however, an outstanding issue with the SPL regarding EBTs. As we have proved in the last couple of months we will stand up to any challenges that face Rangers and will continue to fight for the Club’s best interests.” Neil Doncaster, Chief Executive of the SPL: "We are pleased to have reached an agreement with the parties concerned. Discussions will now continue with our broadcast partners and we expect to be in a position to make a further announcement next week on broadcasting rights and the on-going EBT investigation." Jim Ballantyne, President of the SFL: "Current events have thrown up some serious challenges to Scottish football and the SFL has played its part in trying to navigate through to a solution in difficult circumstances. “I am now looking forward to doing what we are actually here to do. To play football." |

Reading that statement and its clear that Green has not won any concessions, even though he tries to bamboozle newcos fans.

so far i have established that Rangers have been PUNISHED... 10 point deduction ...160k fine..
will move on to the next punishment.. 3 years ban from EUROPE and Rangers punishment losing CL place.. This 3 year rule for liquidation and administration is not set in stone .. this rule is at the discretion of UEFA and the SFA The UEFA administration may, in accordance with Article 4, grant exceptions on the following matters: a) Non-applicability of a minimum requirement concerning the decision-making bodies or process defined in Article 7 due to national law or any other reason; b) Non-applicability of a minimum requirement concerning the core process defined in Article 9 due to national law or any other reason; c) Non-applicability of a minimum assessment procedure defined in Article 10 due to national law or any other reason; d) Non-applicability of the three-year rule defined in Article 12(2) in case of change of legal form or company structure of the licence applicant on a caseby- case basis; e) Non-applicability of a certain criterion defined in part II, chapter 3 due to national law or any other reason; f) Extension of the introduction period for the implementation of a criterion or a category of criterion defined in part II, chapter 3. on the case of Rangers UEFA and the SFA they both have confirmed as PUNISHMENT they will not ask for special disposition. Rangers attempted to go this route alone , and were refused without SFA backing.. |

Our co - efficient will probably be adversely affected in the next few years as well with only 1 of our big 2 able to participate in europe.
I think we should start our season a bit earlier in Scotland. Some of the clubs our teams are drawn against in the preliminary rounds of these competitions are generally well into their seasons by the time the games come round & we find ourselves struggling a wee bit. |

mr eejit; Thousand of businesses and people go bankrupt every year in the UK, it's what you have to do when it becomes impossible to pay off your debts. The reason sequestration exists is to "escape paying what they owed" as you put it. It's perfectly legal, in fact it's one of the main reasons capitalism actually works. You have to allow businesses and people the opportunity to begin again from scratch - otherwise they will spend the rest of their lives paying off debts that they cannot possibly pay and confine them to poverty for life.
Richard Branson went bankrupt two or three times before he finally became successful. It's part of the system - you try and you fail - you go bankrupt and then you begin again. So stop crying about it - it's just part of running a business in our country. Nothing special about bankruptcy, it happens all the time. |
|

Your not banned from Europe you don't meet the criteria fo entry. Your Scotland's ultimate diddy team. This is not a punishment it applies to all 400 or so associations. You haven't paid the fine because Charlie Chuckles has no money. You have had a 10 point deduction that is your only punishment.
You haven't changed legal form. Rangers have no players, no stadium and are going in to liquidation and Sevco. have just appeared in the last couple of months and don't meet the criteria. |

surely you mean as only one of your premier league also ran sized two still exists? |

shrewd ...repeating the same thing over and over does not make your points valid , i have took the time to show facts on here all you come back with are innuendos...you haven't paid the fine because Charlie Chuckles has no money.. seriously is that your only response.
on the case of Rangers UEFA and the SFA they both have confirmed as PUNISHMENT they will not ask for special disposition.. see i can repeat myself as well.. |

Rangers still playing at Ibrox ..check
same manager... check some of the same players ..check same SFA membership ...CHECK So when the SFA and UEFA said they would not entertain section(c)rules , the punishment must stand, WHY WOULD THEY SAY THIS IF IT ISNT TRUE |

You sound a right tory high_lander. I didn't think we had them in Scotland. Farepak were taking money off people when they already knew they were going bust. When they did go bust the directors got to keep their big houses and their titles. Sound familiar? Rangers 100 mill assets should not have been sold for a song, they should've been sold off to pay their debts. |

Rangers granted full SFA licence at 11th hour after agreement between club and governing bodies
Jul 27 2012 Exclusive by Gavin Berry Ally McCoist arrives at Ibrox after SFL vote Rangers boss Ally McCoist can now focus on preparing his squad for the Ramsdens Cup clash at Brechin RANGERS have finally been handed full SFA membership just hours before the football season kicks off - but the club will vigorously contest any move by the SPL to strip them of titles. Ibrox chief executive Charles Green reached a compromise agreement with Scottish football chiefs after another day of tense talks in the long-running saga. And it resulted in the Light Blues being handed the full licence which gives them the go-ahead to kick off life as a Third Division club starting with Sunday’s Ramsdens Cup first round clash with Brechin City at Glebe Park. Green had to agree to certain conditions - they are willing to accept a 12-month registration embargo and £160,000 fine - before the situation could be resolved which included signing off the transfer of the old company’s share in the top flight to Dundee which formally take place at an SPL meeting on August 3. One of the major stumbling blocks during talks has been the SPL’s desire for Rangers to accept being stripped of titles if found guilty of their alleged use of dual contracts between 2001 and 2010. But while Green has agreed to be liable for any sanctions handed out after the SPL’s investiation into the matter the club are insisting they will fiercely contest any punishment which involves title stripping. That is now set to be a fight for a later day between Gers and the SPL if the Ibrox club are found guilty. The SPL want to hand over the issue to an independent judicial panel on August 10 to rule on whether the club’s former owners breached regulations with alleged undisclosed payments through the controversial EBT tax avoidance scheme. But in the meantime Gers boss McCoist can now finally prepare for a match in charge after previously arranged pre-season friendlies had to be cancelled due to the club not having its SFA licence in place. They now go into Sunday’s historic match at Glebe Park with a wafer-thin squad although former Hearts trio Ian Black, Craig Beattie and Kevin Kyle have all been training at Murray Park and could possibly be listed as trialists. A statement was issued by the SFL which said: "We are pleased to confirm that agreement has been reached on all outstanding points relating to the transfer of the Scottish FA membership between Rangers FC (In Administration), and Sevco Scotland Ltd, who will be the new owners of The Rangers Football Club. "A conditional membership will be issued to Sevco Scotland Ltd today, allowing Sunday’s Ramsdens Cup tie against Brechin City to go ahead.
