No surprise .
All the non old firm clubs are sick of the threats and blackmail. Its all backfired on them. A more humble, concillatory attitude at the start would certainly have helped them. |

One reason the votes went against them for the spl was the other smaller clubs were demanding up to 50% of gate even though they only turn up with 1000 fans amongst demanding other concessions such as more of the tv revenue etc etc and once they all started throwing sporting integrity about the only place we were going was div 3 as most fans and public have know for the past month |

Only video taped evidence, which is not the sort of thing that would convince 12 "just men" chosen at random from the Scottish populace. |

The Rangers club and chequered history is now dead of course, but that is merely the tip of the iceberg.
Any and all of those responsible for fraud and/or rampant criminality should, for example, be hunted down like dogs and brought before the courts. The authorities should not rest until as many as possible of the outstanding debts have been made good. The same goes for any tax payments that have been missed, subject to HMRC winning the dispute they are involved in with the former Rangers club. No-one, but no-one should be exempt from being dragged before the courts. The people who run Scottish football should eventually strip the former Glasgow Rangers of any trophies won during any period it is proven Rangers were acting illegally. If necessary, the trophies should be reallocated to clubs who did it clean. On the bright side, this is a fantastic opportunity for the beleaguered Scottish football brand to try and start afresh, free of the hideous sectarianism that has blighted the country for so long. This 'Newco' (whatever one of those is) should now immediately and publicly destroy any link with the past, use colours and livery that have no link with the past, and make it clear from their Mission Statement that they want nothing to do with the horrendous past. And that includes any fans who brought disgrace on the club so often. The bosses of the 'Newco' should publicly excoriate the actions of the former Glasgow Rangers, and state that this will be a new club that operates WITHIN the law, and any trophies achieved will be won clean. I'm sure all of us would agree on the above as an excellent blueprint for the way ahead. Reward honest endeavour and punish the wrongdoers. |

"walter" never signed a player for 3 years. (oh really?)all those players must have fell down the chimney with santa claus. "walter' never got a league extension. (oh, finished on a Thursday, Why?) "walter" left rangers in good financial health. except for the wee matter of 134 million, he did, well done walter. "walter' doesn't do walking away, emmm, oh yes he does. What did we get though? mccoist, "name these people"! So Raith Rovers have to get extra security for their ground and director who sat on the panel. Now, mccoist knew fine well who was on the panel, rangers had an observer there, why he is not in front of a court case, never mind an sfa panel, beggars belief. rangers, should not have been playing football anywhere last year, they did not have the licence or audited accounts to do so. If Spartans or Cove rangers go for div3 place, there will be court cases if rangers newco get in ahead of them, there is no reason whatsoever. liamcol 05 Jul 12 22:34 Sorry Mac, missed a bit of your last post. rangers should not have been playing anywhere last year. fact, as they say in betfair language. They did not have audited accounts, who allowed them to play? You can take that to the bank. If Betfair or anyone from the SFA wants to dispute this, i am waiting, btw. Still waiting on someone disputing this, rangers should not have been playing anywhere last year fact. They did not have audited accounts. Multiple people should end up in jail. trading whilst insolvent is a very serious offence. rangers, via murray, borrowed on the strength of ibrox, murray park being worth over 100million pounds. the admins valued them at 4.5 million. and sold them for 1.5 million. rangers newco should not be playing in any sfl next year, if they are it is totally against any sporting integrity. |

And more chance of Sharon Stone coming down my local tonight
![]() Rightly or Wrongly the Whole Celtic/Rangers division and its history was one of its selling points to the outside world whether the viewers point of view was to admire or abhor the passion and politics involved. Like it or not, top stories and rivalries are either about sporting excellence or conflict, this is now been removed from the Scottish Premier League. btw i support West Ham and have no vested interest in the scottish game, i used to be interested in Old Firm games when they did have some top players but havent watched one for years now |

The word "Vested" mean anything??
|
|
By:
the dhims are seething
"only here to see the rangers " |
|
By:
"Vested" = Am wearing a vest
"Investiture" = the ceremonial putting on of the vest "Investigation" = what happens when there is suspicion of a criminal act or cheating .................. and then we are back at Ibrox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
|
By:
Whats the argument then Ovalman.
You want div 3 90 % of their fans now say they want div 3. McCoist wants div 3. Charlie Green wants div 3. All other fans want div 3. Sorted. I have been to Ibrox and have friends who are season ticket holders but my ONLY team is Glentoran. I'm just saying that if justice is to be seen to have been done then Rangers should be in the 3rd division. My own club nearly went broke last season, in fact we are on our knees now but if we go the same way as Rangers then I would expect the same. Justice has been done but if an SPL2 is formed with Rangers then it is a mockery TBF. |
|
By:
It's not about justice, Sevco haven't been punished. All that happened was the rules were applied (to an extent) and a new team joined the SFL and as such started at the bottom just like any other new club would as opposed to them getting given automatic promotion to SFL 1.
If the rules were properly followed then Sevco would have had to apply for the open space along with every other team. Sevco have been given a real helping hand by getting granted automatic acceptance in to the SFL given all the other clubs who have spent years trying to get in. |
|
By:
okay newco in Div 3 but I can imagine Man Utd being voted out of Premier league by their peers. To be honest Man U are the only show in town....without them the EPL would be worthless.
