![]() ![]() Celtic had NO reason to get involved to do so would have become THE storyand taken all the heat off your mob, whilst the laptop loyal laid into "they Tims" for appearing to put the boot into their greatest rivals ![]() Sh1te of your own making, and Celtic not involved ![]() |

Celtic might get so desperate....they might and try to get relegated ON PURPOSE!!!

Keep blaming everyone for your problems except Minty Moonbeams. All the ex hun players are running around blaming Whyte and you all made out Moonbeams was a god. He ran your club into the ground and left a hero. This is not Celtic's doing, it is not Aberdeen's, or Hearts it is simply at the door of Murray. The game may die in Scotland without your club but it would die for sure if you were in the SPL because nobody else would be intrested in a farcical league ! Scottish football would not be in this position if Murray ran your club properly because it would never have got in the hands of Whyte if it was not in the mess Murray sold it in.

No one is blaming tic for our troubles Huss.
Just letting you know how some of the Gers men feel. We have been getting methodically `drilled` right left and centre, through no fault of our own (fans wise). |
By:
Hi Mac, got the message m8 cheers.
Mac, you have not been getting drilled from anyone. If rangers, old or new, had come out and said sorry for what they had done to Scottish football for 20 odd years, maybe some of us would have had a bit of compassion. What did we get though? mccoist, "name these people"! So Raith Rovers have to get extra security for their ground and director who sat on the panel. Now, mccoist knew fine well who was on the panel, rangers had an observer there, why he is not in front of a court case, never mind an sfa panel, beggars belief. rangers, should not have been playing football anywhere last year, they did not have the licence or audited accounts to do so. If Spartans or Cove rangers go for div3 place, there will be court cases if rangers newco get in ahead of them, there is no reason whatsoever. |

Thanks for the reply, Are we talking Rangers owners / establishment? They usually sing from the same hymn sheet in any case. My belief is that the mass Rangers support, like Celtic`s and others are made up from the hard core and the liberal element. I was saddened as to what happened with the Raith Rovers chairman as the club are quite close to where I live. Once again that was the idiots jumping the gun, Super Ally apologised afterwards once he realised the consequences of what he had said. May I ask if Rangers should`nt have been allowed to play football anywhere last season, whilst they obviously did, who`s fault was that? Once and for all, if Div 3 will have us? that is where we should go. If the general consensus afterwards is that we are allowed to go forward without any further concessions or sanctions then I am sure the liberal majority of the Rangers support would feel grateful. |
By:
I remember myself and many other Celtic minded people jumping mad wanting Lawell's blood when he was parading our accounts like a trophy while Rangers won the treble. We paid for season tickets hoping for success for our team. We wanted trophies and much as it sticks in my throat to say it Lawell ran our club properly and we should be grateful but rest assured it hurt being thumped on the park to get the accounts in order and that is why Celtic fans want blood and Lawell would probably prefer Newco in the SPL he knew the club could not dismiss the views of our support or finances would suffer worse than no Newco.
Rangers fans simply think it is a vendetta when it is not. Celtic lost trophies in the years debt was accured as did other clubs. Your supporters celebrated those victories over the other clubs and Murray etc took all the glory. Walter Myth bought Jelavic claiming the club was potless but I didn't see a big sale to pay for him. Celtic sold McGeady and Boruc to fund the players brought in. Lennon got zilch out of the pot just the money from the sale of players. There is no vendetta against Rangers fans. The Newco are simply that. They are a new club just like Spartans or Cove would be a new club. The old Rangers do not exist and the sooner Rangers fans understand that the sooner people like Keevins, Regan etc will understand the other clubs have no options or the game will die of hypocrisy. It may die without Newco but that's the position David Murray has left Scottish football in by mismanagement of a huge club. He is the figure that Newco and it's supporters should be venting their anger upon. It is not Lawell or Mad Vlad or Milne or thompson who have put Scottish football on the brink it is DAVID MURRAY ! It is a possible slow lingering death as Regan states or death by hypocrisy but who knows the game may just survive until Newco come back. Who knows. |
By:
Hussard, you are correct in almost everything you say there m8.
For as much as our history is officially gone though, please dont ask us to accept or believe it m8. We know who is to blame, one man, who promised the world and courted the charade for years while other clubs suffered. We lived outside our means & enjoyed success through his hands. We were not aware of what was going on as it happened, though we did not complain , who would? They deserve & we deserve punishment for these sins, our club should be stripped of honours won, of that I have no doubt. |
By:
Does that mean Queen of the South and Falkirk get the scottish cup for the years 2008 and 09
By:
It does`nt end there, it goes on for yunks, even into Champs League qualifying.
Do you see now where this **** could lead? |
By:
And people called Mad Vlad a nutter when he used the phrase "The Glasgow mafia and their media monkeys". I don't think their could be a more apt phrase to sum up the circus happening at the moment. At least they they are no longer trying to hide it.
By:
I can see that trophies might be stripped , but there's NO chance of compensation being paid . for a start it would be next to impossible to calculate IMHO .
By:
I know many many Rangers fans who accept and want the Newco to go to Div 3 and start again. That way no sanctions should be in place from any authorities. A new club should not be penalised for any misdemeanors of the past but it should also be granted no special favour like Div 1.
The media and the authorities simply have to accept that the game will not survive if justice is not seen to be done. It won't be pretty for Celtic losing revenue but it will be harder for St Mirren and St Johnstone but it is the only way. There is a very diverse support around my area and fans of many clubs saying they would not go to SPL games if Newco waltzed back in. Scottish football is between a rock and hard place but it's time for everyone to try and move forward. Newco go to Div 3. The SPL beg for a decent tv deal. Supporters must back their teams and try to finance their clubs as they wanted their chairmen to do the right thing. The authorities need to stop the scaremongering and clubs need to stop buying poor foriegn players. Beram Kayal is the best player at Parkhead but Charlie Mulgrew is loved by all because he is a Celtic boy who came through the ranks who gives his all every game and I'd love Celtic to have lots more Scottish kids like Mulgrew. If we have to buy it should be Mackay Steven etc. We need to get back to a Scottish game, there are too many foreign players who don't care about our clubs taking fortunes out of our game. |
By:
Sorry Mac, missed a bit of your last post.
rangers should not have been playing anywhere last year. fact, as they say in betfair language. They did not have audited accounts, who allowed them to play? You can take that to the bank. If Betfair or anyone from the SFA wants to dispute this, i am waiting, btw. |
By:
Hussard, well said.
Liam dont get you at all m8? What has Betfair or the bank to do with the Scottish footballing authorities? |
By:
The authorities shouldn't need to beg for a deal. Sky or someone else would have just wanted to go for a lower deal if it wasn't for the fact that the SPL, media and especially Doncaster hadn't put the league in such a **** position to negotiate. Spending the last seven months saying the SPL TV deal will be worthless without Rangers really puts us in a good position to negotiate any new TV deal without Rangers. Absolute dicks.
By:
Shrewd - Agree 100% Doncaster and Regan have sold the jerseys by trying to scaremonger the other clubs into accepting Newco and now we haven't a leg to stand on while looking for a new deal. Both should go after this debacle.
What I would like to see is Scottish football back on Stv or Bbc if Sky are offering such a paltry deal surely they could match Sky. Also it would be great for one or two of the bigger clubs to seriously challenge Celtic (obviously not beat us :) but challenge so the Scottish game grew stronger again out of this circus. |

See above...why is this the first time that we have heard Celtic FC and their fans complaining about the current Sky Deal?

Rangers in crisis: Ally McCoist happy to start again from scratch in SFL Third Division
Ally McCoist has come out heavily in favour of newco Rangers joining the Irn-Bru Third Division. Ally McCoist: "I think now is perhaps the time to say, 'OK, we have been punished'. We have all suffered enough. Everyone in Scottish football has suffered." By Telegraph Sport 9:11PM BST 05 Jul 201215 Comments McCoist declared that the "sporting integrity" argument that saw 10 Scottish Premier League clubs reject their top-flight application means Rangers cannot then be relaunched in the First Division. The Ibrox manager says he needs to sign about a dozen new players and claimed he would have a better chance of rebuilding the club from the bottom as he called for an end to the "punishment". McCoist followed chief executive Charles Green's lead in saying the club would accept whatever fate the Scottish Football League deal them - but he added his weight to calls from the majority of fans that they should start in the Third. Reacting to yesterday's SPL rejection in an interview with RangersTV, McCoist said: "Like everyone else involved at our club extremely disappointed is putting it mildly. "We are now in the hands of David Longmuir at the SFL who is certainly a man that Charles and I trust implicitly. "He is a good honest man that I firmly believe has the best interests of Scottish football at heart, of that there is no doubt. "Out of all the characters involved in this situation I think David and his member clubs have been very unfortunate to have been put in a position where they have to make a decision. "Whatever decision they reach we will accept. Having said that from my meetings with our supporters, and the vast majority of SPL chairmen have been listening to their supporters, which is great, I'm all for it. "We had a meeting with our supporters last night and the vast majority of them - in the region of 75-80% - have said enough is enough, let's go to SFL 3. "Our good friends at Celtic across the city issued a statement that stated that integrity was of paramount importance to Scottish football and we totally agree with that, and I would imagine the vast majority of all SPL chairmen agree with that statement." SFL clubs will decide next Friday on the proposal to put the Ibrox club in the First Division but SFA chief executive Stewart Regan has insisted he cannot let the new Rangers kick off in the Third or the game will face a "slow, lingering death". McCoist responded: "Is the financial situation more important than the massive integrity and honesty of the Scottish game? "Stewart is entitled to his opinion. Short term we don't want to be in SFL3 but we will accept the punishment." Green's Sevco consortium bought Rangers' assets in June after the club was consigned to liquidation with debts that could reach £135million, mostly to the taxpayer. The new start means they have to apply for SFA membership and league status and McCoist is anxious that the relaunched Rangers are allowed to develop without sanctions relating to the old company's misdemeanours. McCoist, who has 13 players on his books, said: "I have had something in the region of six players turn up for pre-season training. Two of them would be considered regulars last year. "We have to rebuild, so SFL3 would give us a better chance to rebuild. "They might want to put us into SFL1 with more sanctions. I don't know if that's the case but we've got a transfer embargo hanging over us. "It's impossible. How can I have a transfer embargo with six players? That is just absolute madness. "All I would ask for is to be treated the same as everyone else." He added: "We have been deducted 10 points, we were fined £160,000, we had our Champions League place taken away from us, we are out of Europe for another three years. That's quite a lot at the moment. "I think now is perhaps the time to say 'okay, we have been punished'. "We have all suffered enough. Everyone in Scottish football has suffered. "I said at the SPL meeting, believe me, no one is more angry, disappointed, embarrassed, apologetic, than me. "This should not have happened to our football club. "Our fans more than anyone deserve an apology. They have been kept in the dark." The club say they have lost 11 players who objected to the transfer of their contracts from Rangers to Sevco. "It's an extremely difficult from the club's point of view, which is obviously my most important factor," McCoist said. "It was a devastating blow, but one we will recover from. "We need to bring in 10, 12, 14 players. Since January we have lost in the region of 21 players. "We have to start rebuilding and indeed replacing." McCoist suffered yet another blow today when he was left with no pre-season games after a three-match trip to Germany was cancelled by tour organisers. Southampton and Le Havre had previously withdrawn invitations for friendlies. "It's appalling," McCoist said. "The people suffering most are our fans. "They have paid for hotels, buses, boats and all of a sudden the trips have been cancelled through circumstances certainly outwith their control and outwith our control. "Again, who does it hurt most? Our supporters." |

Celtic are a fkn joke of a club. If Man City go bust and Sky want to pay less for EPL I would be fairly sure Man Utd etc would be pissed at the loss of income. It is not long ago both halves of the OF were wanting to go to EPL for a slice of the cash so obviously both clubs were unhappy with tv cash. As for Celtic being a joke well if being in a very thin glass house throwing stones at the tank going by is less than wise. Two final points Sally probably wants the 3rd cos he is such a joke of a manager it's the only league he may win. His record at Rangers FC was appalling but that seemed to get missed in the circus. Finally it would be wise for John Brown to learn to string a sentence together before appearing in front of a crowd of neds on tv as it must be embarassing for the vast majority of Newco minded peepul. |

Barney,
In case you have`nt noticed m8, there have been people posting their colours to the wall all the way through this thread. Am I not allowed to speak out whilst others are? |
By:
If Celtic FC had an inkling that there was a minute possibility that Rangers could have been accepted into the SPL they would have voted YES!!!.
If nothing else to keep their unfair 2-10 voting right`s. |
By:
There has not been any Integrity in Scottish Football since this was the case.
By:
Which other club was invovled in the 2-10 vote ???
By:
Rangers were the other half.

As if you did`nt know already.
By:
No wonder the rest of Scottish football hates both of us.
By:
Anyway everyone loves their club. You know we don't wish you well as you don't wish us well either but if you go and financially support your club you have my respect and I don't want to be sitting here bickering as I have bets to find as I am sure you do too. I hope Murray wins today not a bet btw but just for Scotland and I know he is a bit of a **** but still it would be good for the country to have a champion at something.
By:
The thing is Huss I usually do wish the tic well in Europe etc & I have a lot of tic m8`s it`s just on here you get baited that much sometimes it brings out the other side.
Sorry if I have offended anyone, we all have a dark side mind. |
By:
I can have sensible conversations with Celtic fans about Celtic and rip them to pieces at times but god forbid an opposing supporter slags us and then the red mist comes down :) We are all the same about our clubs not just Celtic and Rangers. I have a very sad dark side over Celtic which sometimes even I myself shudder about when alone. I don't think there are many football fans who don't have a dark side over a rival club.
