You need to look a5 the Aussie batting. Also the matches are condensed an£ their bowlers are all in their 30’s. Don’t get me wrong, top kwality but this England batting is is good and they bat deep possibly to 10.

Yogi Patel?

Heard the name but never knew him. A bit of a lothario by all accounts?

How England keep chasing these massive targets is astonishing
No panics, just surgical take downs with wickets to spare

The very same WD !

He was the year above me,  i thought he would possibly make up in to a county player but never did. Not sure what happened to him after he left school. I'm unaware of his off field exploits !

Of course in those days it was still very much the old school tie at Kent CCC so maybe that is why he didn't progress. Having said that, Steve Marsh and Kev Masters, my team mates at Medway U19s did become Kent players several years later so things did improve in that respect.

I remember Medway taking on Maidstone area in a trials match to select a  Mid Kent representative team. We were seen as the plebs whereas Maidstone were the posh boys (hard to believe these days, i know). Our players performed much better man for man, but the so called selectors picked 9 Maidstone and only 2 Medway for the combined team. Yogi was one of our two who got picked as they couldn't really justify leaving him out. I was not amused as i actually had the best bowling analysis on the day but was not selected. My interest in playing the game waned from that day on.

They say that you don't notice a good wicket keeper.

This lad not too shabby.

Good catch.

Batsman like Brook and Bethell should have Richie Benaud's famous saying etched into their brain

BE THERE AT THE END

There is a separate market for a TIE

Bugger forgot the Thai

Just greened out. Nice profit, big profit but left a nasty taste in the mouth taking it. Needed one more wicket for BIG win.

The momentum was with India. While the bowlers can get a rest the batsmen can think it through. It’s only 30 odd runs.

If it ends in a TIE all bets on the match odds market will be VOID

I can't believe all the sucking up Atherton and Hussain have done to the Indians. Have they forgotten both mens and womens teams unsportingly running out our batters at the bowlers end, premeditated ambush to win at all costs? They deserve no praise whatsoever.
