Really poor from England and Stokes.

If I were Gill I would keep them out there for all the 15 overs and get Pant padded up

ffs what have i just watched   Sad

Stokes said to Jadeja: "you want to get a Test hundred against Harry Brook?" during that previous exchange. It all began when Stokes went to shake Jadeja's hand at the start of the last hour and Jadeja did not want to ...

Why we love the sport and it's unpredictability .......

2 wickets in the first over

2 wickets in the next 142 overs

Crazy

It was great entertainment

Stokes is a poor sport for that.

Great effort by India to get the draw, especially losing those two wickets before lunch.

And i concur with others that some of the England players were churlish in their comments directed at the two centurions towards the end, they should have been more gracious as i'm sure if two English batsmen were in the same position they would certainly have wanted to get their tons !

The fact is that England's attack lacked any real threat, even allowing for a docile wicket. Oh for a real old fashioned spinner. I blame one day cricket again.

TYPICAL BULLY BOY STOKES, WHY DIDNT HE DECLARE BEFORE HIS 100 IN THE 1ST INNINGS, , THEY HAD ENOUGH RUNS ON THE BOARD

Look I think Stokes is a gruff character. Someone was feeling tired. If anything it has given India something to grab hold of. England are in bits.

Archer had a side strain and was nowhere near top pace which is the point of difference. Everyone is tired. Tbh Stokes and plenty of other England players like Duckett have shot themselves in the foot over this.

For us boys…time to move on. Opportunities abound.

The market has got this wrong again. Engerland look shot  to buggery imho. Not saying India are in too much a better situation but they are in a better head space and have a clear and defined aim to win the series.

IVE GOT A NICE STARTING POINT FOR THIS TEST 40/1 SERIES SCORE 2-1, DID THIS JUST AFTER 3 TEST
By:
Hayden
When: 28 Jul 25 15:48
Nice1 Elis , can see how you grabbed 40/1 then as two draws would multiply somewhere near but short of that price back then but now with hindsight and the proof that England do occasionally do draws the 5th test draw prospects look completely different with England needing at least that for the series.

Good luck mate , hope you get a great trade out of it but that said you've got one already if you wanted it Happy

Jamie Overton has been called in to the squad for the final test match, doubt that will strike fear in to the Indian batsmen, decent player though he is.

There hasn't been a test match draw at The Oval since 2013, some rain in the forecast for several of the days although not too heavy.

Whoever wins the toss will surely bat first.

Stokes continued moaning about the Indians batting on in his post match interviews, "i don't think it would have made much difference walking off with 100 not out rather than 80 or 90 not out" he said.

Is he for real ?  It was Washington's first ever test match century, of course it matters !!
By:

When: 28 Jul 25 16:39
He's not covered himself with glory with all those comments during and post match , can't believe he doesn't regret saying them as they're so ridiculous.

Wouldn't be totally surprised if he found a way of clumsily retracting them over the next few days when he's rid himself of the frustration of not winning and fully digests the contents of what he said.

thx, Hayden,    yes the draw prices really varies ,  one firm went 50/1. fred went 40s , corals 22 and hills 33 , there wasnt anything like that on here ,  but at the off 4 th  test draw was around 4/1 ( cant remember precicly) and it down to around 7/2 , but again draw prices could be in the double figures as well ,

England conceded most runs in a series since 1920s.

India must be great batters, even their spinners get 100 each,

Jofra,I once hit Steve smith archer.
Ben ,I’m carrying a injury stokes
Dawson  taking slow bowling to a new level, why spin it when you can just concentrate on bowling slowly
Root ,I’m the leading run scorer in cricket. And englands best bowler.
Carse,I once bowled a ball that nearly hit the wickets, when I was 10 years old.

The Aussies stand no chance against this attack.having agreed to make matches last a month ,so England can get 10 wickets.

India’s top 5 batsmen all looked comfortable at the crease, then 6 and 7 get 100.

Impossible for England to win at the oval.

Fast bowlers set up the win,a spinner gets the win.

England have neither.

4/1 the draw everywhere with bookies for 4th test but don't know exchange at 11am opening day , suspect maybe 5.4 or 5.6

Bad weather maybe a draw,

India can’t bowl, but. They ll have 2 good spinners under bowled this test, that will win them the game, plus their 4 th bowler was useless so he’ll be dropped.

They aren’t great but slightly better than England for fast bowlers, plus their spinners look good,on the oval. bat last. Should win.

England need to try new blood.charlie barnard is a great young spinner.

But they want to pick the most famous players,to sell tickets then hence more beer.theyre not interested in the sport, its just about maxing out revenue.

No draw price has crashed!

I was trying to lay England close to evens, which, is still the bet here but also back the draw at 4/1

If India bat first I cannot see an England win and will England doctor the pitch for a draw?

The caveat of course…. Is where there’s rain there’s cloudWink!
By:

When: 28 Jul 25 18:47
I'd contest England can't possibly win at the Oval cuth simply because although there was nil chance of any sort of challenging declaration at Old Trafford i'd say there will be every chance of a tempting declaration at the Oval if India get the chance as they have to win the game and would rather lose 3-1 fighting than a damp squib at 2-1 , that's why i'll be leaving any draw trade unless there's a chance of laying a very low draw on say day 4 if it presents itself.

Good luck whatever you play and kudos for the last test as you did predict the draw   Happy

Yeah. Kneweverything ,can’t bet it.

Highest Indian batter 2nd by 3 runs.

Backed draw after 3 days 6/1. Then changed mind and traded out.

But fascinating interest,so you pay for entertainment.

Hi Hayden,

Not sure I predicted the draw. Backed India first up then layed England down to 1.21 in the hope of cutting losses. Then backed draw.

I would say I was lucky / unlucky.

Had a huge draw green but the 0-2 screwed me into greening out instead of letting it ride as I normally would have done. Plus Pant injury and I was scared about an India collapse and did not want to risk a large loss, Quite rightly. I gave up 75% of draw green to green out. It was the right thing to do but leaves a bitter taste as I have said before I am a gambler not a banker. I spend a pound to make a hundred not the other way round. That is why I am poor!

Indeed he certainly got that right!

I did not see it that clearly tbh specially with Stokes bowling to the right handers from the Anderson End with the uneven bounce. 3 left handers to bat out of the rough except Dawson bowled on the straight!

I am starting to feel a little bitter and twisted. I really did not get that the pitch was that flat and perhaps I should have if Creepy could score runs on it.

I feel more resentful now as I missed out on laying England close to evens for this match and  backing the draw at 5.

The weather might ruin this as a spectacle but at least we should enjoy the barbs being flung by the players.

I need to let this go. Jadeja could have been caught first ball! In hindsight the pitch was flat. Only commingupthehill had this foresight.

The Oval drains well so do not want to get involved right now.

I missed the boat here so better not to over compensate.

Had a good thing going but it is over now so I better get over it.

Bring on The Ashes

Still in fact even more bitter and twisted. Coulda, woulda, shoulda, such an easy call to make yesterday and prevaricated. Walk on by!

That's the thing with us traders WD never any regrets as it's what we do and you have to remember the reason for placing the bet initially is to trade , it's like using horse racing as a comparison in that somebody asking me for a good trade in the next race and someone else asking me which horse will win the race i'd be 95%+ to be picking two different horses , same with Cricket looking at how the first 2 or 3 days may pan out without giving too much thought to the eventual outcome.

One of my syndicate guys still doesn't get why i trade out tennis & cricket low lays i get below 1.29 when they hit 2.0 or thereabouts but as i'd never get involved backing an each of two selection the strategy of not bailing out at 2.0 in that scenario would be doing exactly that , my reason for low odds lays criteria is mostly due to the unpredictability of sport whereas backing an opinion like picking a 2.0 in a 2 way outcome involves too much personal opinion which is what gets 98% of punter historically in the red , to a large degree i've always preferred to let the numbers and strategical approach pick the selections for me rather than have too much of a personal opinion and certainly stay well away from form study and all that " it happened last week so why won't it happen again " thinking which i believe is the punters biggest downfall.

Looking for a trade as opposed to an eventual winner are chalk vs cheese in any sport that's for sure.

Apologies for the ramble but get carried away sometimes and start to digress somewhat.
